The clear coat realy put a smile on my face!Great job!I guess thats your first real bodyword and paintjob!Only thing i can say that what you ve done is amazing and inspiring for other amateurs to try!
Thanks. After a few days of sanding and buffing, it looks even better. On to interior and chrome. Can't wait to take it down the road. I've done a little bodywork here and there and painted a couple cars myself but only in a single stage. This car is more or less practice for the 67 GTO in the shop. I have to say a thanks to Randy Colyn for help along the way, even though he didn't paint it.
Came out really nice. Like you said it's not a hundred thousand dollar car it's to enjoy driving it will get nick and bugs hitting it. 👍🏽 when all the chrome and everything else on it going to stand out.
It was 1:30 Am on Thursdy (Friday morning) that I quit and I pulled an all nighter Friday to get it in the booth on Saturday morning for 6 AM. Everytime I blinked on Saturday afternoon, I fell asleep. I was starting to piss off my wife...
hey Rich I've been test driving trucks this week and have a quick question for you or one of your subscribers- yesterday I drove a 2002 ram 1500 v8 hemi and loved everything about it except for the fact that when I went from reverse to drive I felt/heard that classic jerk/thud from the tranny. went back on kijiji looking for a different truck and I found a 2004 tranny from a 1500 with approx 150,000 kms on it for 300$ bucks. Would it fit the 02 hemi? would you recommend doing the swap?
I can't tell you for sure if it will fit. Its still a used trans though. I would be more inclined to have a reputable shop rebuild the one thats in the truck. I know it will cost more but at least you know what you have in the end.
