for future reference one of the easiest ways to join a two piece hood is to braze it together. The bronze won't rust, will seal any rust that's there and is soft enough that it will sand down really nice and feather out to where, with a little primer, you won't even see the edge.

I had a similar situation where the glass had written text on it. Unfortunately in my case, the letters had been sitting in moisture and cracked. My fix was to print them backwards on a piece of transparent overlay (the really thin one) and then stuck that on the inside of the perfectly clean glass.
Just passing this along in case you ever get something like that and can't find a replacement glass with text written on it.

how about 'radio delete" that's what coldwarmotors name it when no radio is found

There was a radio in the fleetmaster and fleetline. One of them hums and the lights turn on so I figure someone should be able to make 2 radios out of 1. I just need to find that someone. I don't want to spend 2 days on it and not get anywhere, some things are better left to professionals.

Is it Mr. K? I replied to his comment on your caddy video asking if he would look at my radio and he never got back to me? Do you mind shooting him a line for me? The Fleetmaster is going to paint this week. It should be road worthy in a couple weeks and I'm hoping to make it to London and check out your new place in a month or so.
