Had some friends from SA who went on this in their circa 1930 Studebaker. Their experience was AMAZING - followed it all along at the time. Pity no one thinks of bringing a film crew along on every event like you GOOD PEOPLE.
You see how hard this was on car and driver today but imagine how much harder it must have been to do in 1907 with no roads except the odd cart track and no back up.
Special mention to the 'tricycle' guys! Everyone is a winner in this type of adventure! The other thing is that you understand that people all over the world just get along fine!
What an excellent document of what I can only call the 'Carmino'. From a steam car to a Ferrari and everything in between. Great that you captured the atmosphere and good nature of the people on their best and worst days.
Really enjoy seeing a 60's Porsche set up for rally with kick a$$ tires. In U.S. the Porsche 911 is a luxury car purchased by rich dentists. Spends 90% of the time parked and pampered. It is thrilling to see the engineering put to real use.
IT IS INCREDIBLE THAT THOSE CARS AND MOTORCYCLES HAVE TRAVELED ALMOST 14 THOUSAND MILES. IT IS A GREAT ACHIEVEMENT OF THOSE MACHINES AND THEIR DRIVERS. THANKS FOR THE VIDEO.
The 78.000 thumps down people are negative people...and these people will never be on top...they will never rule something,no matter now many thunps down they give...😅
Watching documentaries of earlier races gave me the idea to do it by bicycle, which I did in 2011. Except I ended up in Amsterdam. I was sick and exhausted and Amsterdam was closer because I had planned to do a day of lapping the Nurbürgring. Also, Amsterdam sounded more interesting.
Well done everyone, what a great race. You all drove so many mile through some very strange plates and some times no roads, to finish. Now welcome back to the evil virus. Stay Safe everyone
❤ Show THIS to all the americans who still think the communists are more bad people as they are....Thank you for this video from (a german in) Portugal
6:00 I dont think Trish stuck around long after the race. Watch her expression wen her husband says " Hopefully we will still be married at the end of it. He can read the signs on the wall.
Too bad Google Maps couldn't help them. It only gives directions if you are driving where there are roads, and there weren't any roads for most of the trip.
Now you can just google where the closest fuel stop is. Back then one needed to really know an auto and have technical and mechanical prowess. Now a days not so much unless you might be a resourceful Aussie. Rule one should be NO PHONES!
I'm thinking would a Lada Zhigyli, or better, a Lada Niva, the little 4x4, be too new? The Niva goes back to the '70s, or even '60s for the Zhigyli. Or, maybe a Volga 21, which is a pretty car with classic '50s styling. Would that be cheating? I guess it's moot since the Russian leadership has decided that they can't live with their neighbors.
Poor video making. When you did the interview, you should not focus on the speakers only. Step back a little bit, show the speakers and their cars together.
Easy did it without back up in a tatty 1931 Austin 7 without any breakdowns, punctures or sat nav or doctors or mechanics or posers etc cost only a few grand !
This looked great but the guy saying it is the toughest event in motorsport is pretty ridiculous. Dakar, Baja 1000, Motocross, pretty much any real competitive offroad endurance racing series is 100x harder.

And then you have to look at the New York to Paris race a few years later when crews were shoveling snow 10 ft deep...
Great to see a heap of Aussie involved with a fantastic mix of types. Thanks guys 🇦🇺🤙
I'm just surprised to see a Leyland P76 doing it!
@@ads214and winning it. That answers all those idiot naysayers.
Man-- do I ever wish the world was more like this.
Special mention to the 'tricycle' guys! Everyone is a winner in this type of adventure! The other thing is that you understand that people all over the world just get along fine!
Thank you, great rally, organization and grand memories.
Crew number 110 MORGAN
I REALLY loved your Morgan. Car #5 '31 Model A Ford Victoria.
That was truly amazing. I didn’t want it to end.
Not long till 2024 Peking to Paris commences, so you won't need to wait too long!
What an excellent document of what I can only call the 'Carmino'. From a steam car to a Ferrari and everything in between. Great that you captured the atmosphere and good nature of the people on their best and worst days.
that was amazing. watched it all without a break. congrats to all of them..belated, 3 years for this is timeless.
Getting a Leyland P76 to the end is a win in itself.
They did a bit more than just get to the finish. By the way, did any other Australian car ever win the Targa Florio?

But the reality of any track day or rally is that the person who turns up with the 911 is the least interesting person at that event.
WOW!!! well done everyone and max respect to all those who kept the cars going
IT IS INCREDIBLE THAT THOSE CARS AND MOTORCYCLES HAVE TRAVELED ALMOST 14 THOUSAND MILES. IT IS A GREAT ACHIEVEMENT OF THOSE MACHINES AND THEIR DRIVERS. THANKS FOR THE VIDEO.
Well done all. [Adds to bucket list]. See you next time.
wow ! it has been 40 years since i have seen a Leyland p76 on the road ! my old man use to build them in the Sydney factory
Fantastic race and it would be amazing to participate. In the meantime, I'm going to focus on getting to work reliably and on time.
What an incredible and challenging experience. Hats of to the organizers and all those who helped make it a success, as welll.
an amazing adventure ... to see these classic cars from all over the world on a journey across half the world is enviable. Nice video :)
Just fabulous, thank you very much for sharing and well done to all the participants!
Good to see 2 unique Australian cars completing; EH Holden and Leyland P76.
Leyland P76 . You beauty.👍
Absolutely wonderful documentary of the human spirit
What a great video. It definitely wets my appetite for 2022. Can’t wait for it now
Immense adventure. Great to see the cars being used for such an epic journey
Outstanding! Thank you, the camaraderie, & atmosphere was truly 100%
Best you and seven minutes I've spent on RUclips in ages. What an adventure!
Absolutely spectacular !!
They say money can't buy you happiness but sure can buy you an adventure of a life time.
If I had lot's of bucks this rally with my vintage car would be HEAVEN.
I hope to race someday it with my 1966 SEAT 1500 Familiar
Wow... just Wow !!!
Some incredible cars and teams. Well done Everyone.
I've got to say that Morris Minor impressed me.
I endeavor to run in this race before I die!
@ about 38 minutes… “still a little bit of a problem with the cracked engine block…”. Priceless.
Awesome adventure 👍.
Thanks for sharing
It must be a wonderful thing to be rich.
Absolutely grandiose!
Just awesome!
We did p2p twice in a Morris Oxford go back trust you enjoy it as much as we did
What is wrong with the other 52,000 or so other viewers that haven’t “liked” this video?
It’s 78,000 now
Isn't that democracy ?
Heathens, obviously.! 😉 😉 😂 😂
I like like te like "like" like alot. Like!
The 78.000 thumps down people are negative people...and these people will never be on top...they will never rule something,no matter now many thunps down they give...😅
Beautiful movie! 28 commercials and I’m giving up at 32 minutes.
Skip to the end and slide the red dot to the beginning and the ads disappear. It works on all videos.
I’ve barely gotten any at all
Fantastic show .
I been wanting to do this since 2012 when I first heard of this journey but now I might do it on a bicycle
Wherever you go,
The sky is the sky,
The ground is the ground,
And the people are people.
Kibagami Jubei
enjoyed every min .thanks for sharing
Great documentary. Well done.
awesome, i love it
Rider on the front of that tricycle looks like something out of Mad Max!
Loved this video thanks.
I would like to see them do Dakar with the same cars.
Be right back, need some time in the garage.
Well done everyone, what a great race. You all drove so many mile through some very strange plates and some times no roads, to finish. Now welcome back to the evil virus. Stay Safe everyone
Another rally to add to the Bucket list 😊 great watch 👌💯 friends of mine done the Mongol rally, london to mongolia its not a classic car rally
Awesome, is there anything like this in North America?
Next time with our Fiat Panda MK1 front wheel drive 🎉
Don't worry mate, those are the exact right words in English! 27:26.
Now pondering what car I would like to take on that rally. Probably a Volvo Sugga.
26:05 is the single best moment! i just started laughing!
Very good reporting, very good video. What is the model of vehicle with 3 wheels ? It is between a car and a motocycle, I don't know this model !
I really hope i ll be able to participate to this rally. I m only 23 but i have already the car for : a Ford OSI 1968
Hopefully be still married by the end of it!
😮The first Peking to Paris race is interesting too. A surprising number of those primitive jalopies made it most of the way.
Badass!
Looks like a very expensive way to be extremely uncomfortable.
Jon Ward from Icon 4x4 brought me here
I saw crew 120 yesterday I took photos of it
Can't wait
If it's possible, I want to know the price for doing this trip ? Thanks
I got a 1968 230S Mercedes Benz, how can I participate in the next Rally Peking to Paris?
Is the Inca Trail HERO available on YT?
👍👍👍!
❤ Show THIS to all the americans who still think the communists are more bad people as they are....Thank you for this video from (a german in) Portugal
"we were impressed by the Chinese highway system" is the most german thing I have heard all week
If it's possible, I want to the price for doing this trip ? Thanks.
6:00 I dont think Trish stuck around long after the race. Watch her expression wen her husband says " Hopefully we will still be married at the end of it. He can read the signs on the wall.
How can someone get this on disk?
what year did a Saab 96 partake
Too bad Google Maps couldn't help them. It only gives directions if you are driving where there are roads, and there weren't any roads for most of the trip.
Damn so amazing. Anyone needing a navigator and novice mechanic for a rally hit me up
seriously can i enter this with a modern car ?
where is the p76 built in waitara...p504
Now you can just google where the closest fuel stop is. Back then one needed to really know an auto and have technical and mechanical prowess. Now a days not so much unless you might be a resourceful Aussie. Rule one should be NO PHONES!
4:54 Mario Illien of F1 and Indy fame.
that poor crew in the Pontiac had a rough time of it.

2024 Peking to Paris, the car need to be pre 1976. Woo Hoo... go get it.

katsiapy on the video
Fucking awesome are the right word in English
Love it,,
And to think a very small amount of People would flick a switch and destroy this beautiful planet..
105,00 Dollars to enter in 2024
Make it same as rally paris Dakar,
Less talking, more motoring!
You've gotta be rich to do this.
Too much face time-not enough trail time
