Trainee cabin attendant Nadine can’t wait for her first long-haul flight to Los Angeles. Mooie documentaire. Ik ben blij dat dit Hollandse bedrijf nog steeds bestaat, ondanks de financiële problemen. Voor mij voelt de KLM als thuis komen, waar dan ook ter wereld. De blauwe trots die je overal naartoe brengt. Met hun professionaliteit en comfort. Heb al mooie reizen gemaakt met de KLM, ik ben stiekem een beetje een KLM-fan!

Highlight for me was in 1967 flying KLM from Amsterdam to Sydney Australia via Frankfurt, Rome, Athens, Beirut, Bombay, Bangkok then Singapore and finally Sydney, nearly 2 days with the time difference of course and I love it, Those were the days my friends.................!, I have flown KLM many times through the early '80's from Sydney to Amsterdam vv. I have watched KLM & Amsterdam Schiphol grow & regularly watch on RUclips, that 's how keep in touch with KLM & Schiphol Airport, TOI TOI TOI !!!!!!!!!!.

The Dutch title isn't translated at 20:20, but if anyone was curious: "In 1946 KLM became the first European carrier to open a route to New York"
And back then New York was named New Amsterdam.

De waarheid: zo goed zijn ze niet. Best veel slechte ervaringen.
Erg mooie documentaire. Zeker trots op dit oer-Hollandse bedrijf. Waar ook ter wereld, het voelt altijd als thuiskomen als ik na een mooie reis weer in 'onze' blauwe vogel stap voor de reis terug naar Nederland. 🛫

Adding to my previous travels with KLM in the 60's & 80's, I flew Amsterdam - Sydney vv on KLM DC8-61, DC8-63 (extended version) & KLM 747-100 & 747-200, always remember the small details.

Mooi bedrijf, maar die 787 is qua comfort een ramp. Ik hoop dat KLM meer investeerd in Europees bedrijf Airbus.
LRsoup helaas niet , blijven trouw aan dat verschrikkelijk bedrijf Boeing
Niet alles bij Boeing is verschrikkelijk, maar ik begrijp echt niet dat KLM de A350 niet afneemt. Nu is ook een goede gelegenheid om de 737 door A320 te vervangen, maar KLM kiest waarschijnlijk voor de 737 Max 8 minutes. ;) Een gemixte vloot (vliegtuigbouwers) voor een grote maatschappij als KLM is veel gezonder.

all is good and well. BUT KLM OFFERS NO FIRST CLASS CABIN!!! That is such a disadvantage compared to Air France , BA or Lufthansa.
I might you to remember that KLM had a very elegant "ROYAL CLASS" = First class.

Toch wel knap he, als er zoveel mensen goede ervaringen hebben met het KLM-personeel en jij niet? Misschien moet je eens niet alles bij een ander leggen, en naar jezelf kijken. Waar zou het dan aan kunnen liggen? Aan jou? Of aan het personeel?
Mischien niet allemaal maar veel hebben slechte ervaringen gehad stond op klm statistieken van raad van ombudsman u kunt het lezen

nmx1978 If it happens to you every time, there is a big chance it’s your own doing, not KLM’s. But more important, it’s not polite, it’s wronged and it’s out of place, to spoil a party with your complaints. Those are complaints where customer services are for. And if you don’t get what you thought you were entitled to, then you were probably wrong. I flew several times with KLM and never had any complaints. Not even when I had a seat next to an unreasonable passenger,who also had to much to drink at a flight from Amsterdam to Memphis, they got me a different seat. Not after a delay of 2 hours at a flight from NYC JFK to Amsterdam, they gave me compensation vouchers and a friendly smile. Not after a flight from Bangkok to Amsterdam with a crying toddler on board, and they can scream loudly having a tantrum. I felt sorry for the cabin crew because they had to work in that environment, really hard work. And they didn’t get snappy or angry, they just smiled and continued working. That’s the attitude I want to see when I travel, so yes I like flying with KLM. And yes, I did fly with other airlines, but not much. I like to stick with the good. And fyi: I don’t work for KLM, don’t work in aviation and have no connection with KLM.
Your comment makes no sense and irrelevant. KLM customer service is non existent both on facebook chat, phone line or email, so I wouldn’t even try. It seems that the low standard and low expectation some folks have for the airline is preventing them from learning any lessons. Very unfortunate.
