You gotta watch these more than once cos the jokes come so thick and fast. Morris is a genius, master of wordplay, absurdity and general silliness. Can highly recommend Brass Eye, Jam and 4 lions
Not sure if you noticed, but the house that Suzanna Geckaloid stopped her vehicle at was the same family that was featured earlier with the child who lost his family "in the war".
Wait what?!?!? A reaction channel?!?!? What in the frecking hell do people expect, just another clip without you two and your awesome commentary? Some people are sooooo silly. They haven't a clue what real fun is. Love you two!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!❤🥰
Brilliant as always, thank you both for revisiting and reacting to this groundbreaking comedy classic. As absurd as some of this is, it has a real bearing on how media reports and influences global events and lives, at the hands of government and organisations.
I’d be interested in off the wall stuff that our American cousins watch. Stuff that may not have made it over here but considered canon in comedy history.
Indeed a magnificent episode. The war narrative is peak The Day Today. It absolutely foresaw how modern television would cover the invasion of Iraq and other conflict zones with smart-drone cameras. Also the uber-propaganda belt of WMDs and other excuses stoking the firing. Glad I got to watch this with yous. And I'm quite enjoying Brad's opening with off the rails rants. Please keep them going. I have a list of topics you can have on request!
You are right though.. If people just are too lazy to search for the original series, it's their fault. I get the frustration with reactors who don't pause and miss half the video or talk for 10 minutes after every joke and make an hour-long video from a 2 min clip, which kinda takes away from the series, but your reactions are actually poignant, interesting and funny enough to actually add to the original content. 🤷🏼♂️
I clearly remember during the first Gulf War, 1990? I'd have been 18 and it was a quiet night in the pub so I announced I was going home to watch the war. If you know you know.
"It's time for episode five of The Day Today, named after me". What does he mean by that, what does he meeean, what does he mean by that?! 👀 Yes, I am going to keep randomly replying to your uploads every now and again with the same premise. What do I mea... You know what. Much love! ❤
Given your taste in comedy, I think you would enjoy "The Savage Eye - The Catholic Church". It's Irish, a collection sketches. Very much in the spirit of "Brasseye" with obvious "Father Ted" vibes. I think it's brilliant, as good as anything I've seen in terms of it's message and very funny.
It always confuses me when people complain about reaction channels reacting. Or when the person running the channel promises not to speak as much or pause as much. If I want to see without reaction or comment, I would t be watching a reaction video.
You guys are my fave Canadians on RUclips. As they say here in Ireland, "Keep her lit!" (just means "keep up the good work" btw, nothing weird 😆you can verify that on Google)
I've got TDT on dvd, can watch it (again) online... I'm here to watch you guys see it. It's nice if you guys enjoy humour I do - that's the thing with reaction videos, how stuff translates across cultures is the interesting bit. You guys watch Trailer Park Boys? Top Canadian export. There's a certain class of people that are into Chris Morris and his work, the satire is pitch-black and (a self congratulatory) clever in the skewering of news. I'm guessing (hoping) you move on to Brass Eye and it's frankly terrifying how prescient it was. If you do film reactions??? Four Lions Morris' film is a masterpiece.
I hope Brass Eye is on the list .. it's pretty much the follow up to the Day Today, but a more documentary spoof format.
I personally think brass eye is better, definitely more extreme.
Good shout, though sans Partridge!
How do you reckon they'd react to Jam?
@@antlermagick I think they'd need psychiatric help after it.
I only just noticed the mobile Bureau de Change driving past in the background during the "homeless clamping" report.
So. Many. Layers.

'In summary then "oh no"'. As true now as it ever was

British comedy has always been different and I love it. I use to watch Monty Python and The Mad Adder a lot and loved it.
You tell 'em Brad, and don't take any crap from any of those feckers! 😂 Bob & Jen 😂😂🤣🤪😎
I love how you guys understand and laugh at the satirical and absurd American stories!
14:42 During the Clamping The Homeless piece, the mobile Bureau de Change drives past in the background. This show is pure genius.
Back in the day, the poor conversion of US NTSC video to Pal, gave US TV clips played on UK TV a weird look.
Paul Boateng gives as good as he gets here. Herman the Tosser. 😂😂😂Brilliant.
PS. Love The Bureau 😅
I’d be interested in off the wall stuff that our American cousins watch. Stuff that may not have made it over here but considered canon in comedy history.
One more episode to go guys. Watch out for a brilliant piece called ‘The Office’ - Ricky Gervais obviously was.
The most satirical of the episodes. How the news stokes and revels in tragedy and war most of all.
''tongue punch me in the fart box'' I had to pause for a few minutes to stop laughing after that. 😅
ohhhhhh. i just heard the _punch me in the fartbox_ . I didn't get the tongue 1st time round, so to speak. You filled in a hole for me. baaah
Lucy is such a Potty Mouth
Im sure its been asked before but brass eye has to be next🙂
Unfortunately, it is blocked on YT.
👩🦰- We'll do it and put it on patreon for free. 🙂
@@bradlucy What about Jam? Not for the faint hearted.
@@bradlucy Awesome
@@bradlucycan’t wait 😊
That joke about clamping homeless people is a hell of a lot less amusing nowadays, considering how they're being treated nowadays.
Suella would be foaming at the mouth to get the chance
"WAR!"
yay. how's about some more later Partridge? surely it's time to continue the journey 😁
"Shirley"?

0:56 Brads inner Homer 😅
Whoever uploaded this to RUclips years ago got the title wrong. It should have been “Magnifevent”

Glad you are enjoying this absolute gem.
So many times Lucy is in, what looks like, deep contemplation as to why she made certain choices in life. LOL!
You tell em mate! 😅
The "War" bit is way too real. News stations trying to get a scoop by pitting people against each other.
You tell them, Brad! How cretinous can some people be?!
Everyone else adores you xx
I think you would really like Big Train, sketch show with Simon Pegg and Julia Davis,if you haven't already done a reaction to it.

It says the bouncing elefantiasis woman destroys Portsmouth but the place looks much nicer to me😏

Watch Ken Goodwin
React to Gabriel Iglesias aka Fluffy
Guys please do the Brass Eye Series. Its the perfect one to follow from this. You'll love it.
Unfortunately, YT blocks Brass Eye.
Brad get a group together next live stream let's have a bubble, bubble means bubble bath for laugh London
Have you done Inbetweeners?

@@bradlucy What about going back to 'Time gentlemen please'?
Anychance u'd react to one of ur first videos 😄
It’s asham that you have to explain that to the ignorant people. Just don’t watch, I think they would rather complain.
I like to rant once and awhile 🤪
😂🤣👍✌️
