So in those cases Toei is essentially attacking fan-art, of all things. Which is absurd on many levels.
Pewdipie had his own music video claimed by a company that lied and said it represented him. This despite the fact he said is was available for free use. When he used RUclips’s copyright system to oppose the claim and explained that it was his own video being claimed they rejected him. The system favours any company that claims a video for almost any reason. The fact RUclips got rid of the dislike count shows where their priorities lie.

Highly recommend GTFO. It’s hard - the first few levels of the new rundown aren’t, mostly because they’re just meant to introduce non-early-access players who’ve never played to the game mechanics - the levels take awhile to beat but it’s a very fun challenge. Love the lore, though it’s kind of subtle and you have to go out of your way to bother with terminal logs, which it’s worth it as it enriches the main story really. Enemies rely on sound, you have to stop moving when they’re active to ensure they don’t wake up, sneak around to gather resources for sections where you’ll have to fight, manipulate the game and devise strategies to overcome sections. Seriously underrated game.
An open world Sonic game that LOOKS LIKE THAT AND IS WRITTEN BY IAN FLYNN. And the sequel movie looks stunning. It's about TIME the blue blur got the respect he deserves.
The Elden Ring has gotten nothing more than positive feedback from the beta players, most of them are longtime souls game players and YT creators for playthrus and world record holders. Most of them said the only issue is the balance between weapons and magic, that will be fixed of course, and that it is the most bug free pre-test they have ever played, so fingers crossed its gonna be a solid game when it comes out. As far as i can tell its a mix of sekiro/darksouls/bloodborne all merged into one huge game.
@@shade7327 Cyberpunk’s actual gameplay was hidden extensively from everyone until release. Elden Ring was made available for dozens of reviewers for 72 hours, and then to the public for 15 hours. Pretty much everyone loved it. This is nowhere near the same situation.
I doubt Joe even knows that there is a gameplay trailer, 20 minute gameplay showcase and that there was a 3 day long network test with thousands of participants around the world with hours upon hours of gameplay. Joe just hates the genre and doesn't follow news on them that closely.

(Yes without dupes your character is incomplete as constellations add a multitude of things that greatly improve your character, GL with those rates on timed banners.) Genshin is greedy even for a gacha imo, most gacha's with a dupe system it's at least realistic to max out some of your favorites, better rates, better pity system, characters return far more often for you to pull dupes etc. etc.(Not that they don't ask far to much for what they provide/what you get as consumer as well.... but it's better then Genshin when it comes to the gacha aspect) Genshin is the better game but the worse Gacha compared to other gacha's, which is a pity, I have no interest in playing with demo/trail versions of characters that I'll never be able to get the complete version of without spending a shit ton no mater how much I play, wtf is there to do anyhow if you can't play to improve your characters end game........ especially without ya know no end game lol

Me and my friends haven´t wasted a single penny on it and still have multiple limited banner characters, in fact the majority of the fanbase is F2P. The characters have reruns and now they come even faster with double reruns at the same time, even if you have no wishes to use on them when they come out you can still wait till you get a rerun. You can max out any characte you want in a month easily, and you got ZERO need for constellations, Mihoyo makes it clear that Cons are whale bait since you can clear the game without having a single one. You literally have nothing on this game hard enough to justify buying constellations, unless it´s 4 stars wich are easier to get. And Genshin, unlike a lot of Gachas, has a lot more than Cute characters and graphics to justify playing it. I play it for the lore, story, bosses and music.
True we have seen so much elden ring gameplay, one of the most important aspects of from software games which make them special is the mysterious Lore which the trailer fantastically sets out and makes me so hyped to find out the full story of the elden ring when the game comes out. These guys just don't get it. They just wish elden rings story was more like witcher.
I think that people are failing to appreciat how they released trailers. We got decently early gameplay before the actual beta was released. I HATE IT when games just send out a bunch of cinimatic CGI trailers that have nothing to do with the game BEFORE real gameplay trailers. If Elden Ring DEVS wanna release Cinematic crap with no meat and potatoes in them AFTER we know what we're getting, then by all means do so. For example, that Starwars Ecplise trailer. How tf do we know or not this is some trash mobile game?
He clearly meant that the trailer needed more action, which i agree with. It is their slowest and most lore heavy cinematic to date. It wasn't lacking quality but it definitely lacks the epicness of their previous opening cinematics.

Psychonauts deserved art direction but ratchet was pretty bad. Kids story, no exploration, full of invisible walls, average gunplay and shallow characters. Thank god they didn't give it anything The one who really got screwed was esposito for best performance, he deserved it
The trailer is very likely going to be the opening cinematic of the game, and tbh it wasn't as epic as their previous cinematics, it was very lore heavy this time around. I think Elden Ring will very likely be their best game to date, but that cinematic was their weakest yet. Still very solid tho. Also joe just isn't into Fromsoft games at all, so his reaction wasn't that surprising.

They just fucked the concept up. I remember reading some ancient game magazines and thinking "how cool it would be to download an extra level that's clearly an afterthought in Tomb Raider after I've completed the game". Well there are some like Shivering Isles and DA Awakening or simply Halo map packs where it really works. But at this point those kind of gems are muddled under broken games at release to be patched later, tons of piecemeal moneysucking trash trinkets shoved at my face in every corner and dlc stories removed from the main game story and sold at ridiculous cost/length ratio compared to the main game. "DLC was supposed to save the world, not pull them companies in darkness!" or something like that.

Playing Genshin myself, it not the worst out there, the pity system really helps players out for picking which event characters they want. Honestly I'm not surprised that they aren't mentioning it here, it could lead to severe issues for the entire enterprise, and while it's easy to say "they should speak out" most people doing so don't have direct pressure on them concerning their livelihoods. The vast majority of developers who came out to talk about these issues have already left the company involved. The US is in a recession right now, a recession that is only getting worse, and the job market is pretty shockingly thin, which is exactly why most of these companies are able to behave the way they do and still have a work force (which completely contradicts the whole unregulated capitalist argument of "employee control of workplace conditions through choice of employment"). The fact is, at the end of the day, this is a legislation and state issue moreso than it is one to be resolved within the industry. We already know how unregulated capitalism goes, it leads to exploitation, price gouging, and horrible workplace standards unless these are specifically placed in law and there is some form of oversight to enforce this regulation. This happens in every industry, and just because it has been revealed in some, don't believe it will change, these huge companies will continue to abuse employees and consumer's alike, they are just going to be more controlling of information and make show's of concession. It's like the corporate uptake of populist political movements, they don't actually care, it's just a money issue, so as soon people forget or move onto other issues those same companies will still behave in the sane manner as they always have.

Watching this and all the ads in it, I realized just how little I care for the (corporately) popular genres these days. So many "TriPLe AaA" games these days are so hellbent on getting you to cough up cash that they fuck their own progress and structure up for it, so I just don't fucking bother. The title I've found most enjoyable that came out in the last 1-2 years is "Tell me why", a Dontnod game (just picture Life is Strange but with MUCH better writing). People may deride games like that as walking simulators, but as a PhD student, I simply don't have the time or energy to grind for weeks in some looter shooter or RPG to get to finally enjoy them anymore. I'll stick to my occasional ARAM matches in LoL with friends and to smaller, actually complete games that are more story driven. Oh, and DnD, of course.

The fact you were more interested in the other games presented during this show case and "pretended" to start falling asleep during the elden ring trailer is just a disgrace. Smh. Not sure what you've been told, Joe, but Genshin Impact is a very friendly F2P game. You can complete the whole game with the characters they give you for free and they give you more for no charge. The pull system is very generous compared to other gacha games and has redefined what gacha rates are fair for players. It's a game that I played just out of curiosity and the story and gameplay pulled me in.
I'm just happy Maggie Robertson won. She did a phenomenal job with voice acting, and her dress is whew! I didn't know she was tall too. Alan Wake 2 was a huge surprise. I've met Sami Järvi(Sam Lake) in Helsinki a few years ago. He's one of the nicest dudes I've ever met in the video game industry.
Hey OJ and dudes, I highly recommend you look up more of Heilung's music! They are the band that makes the EPIC song for Senua's Saga: Hellblade 2. Heilung - In Maidjen is one of my favorites by them, but EFF that watch the ENTIRE LIVE SHOW they made, though I do say Hamrer Hippyer is my personal favorite song they made. Their performances are spectacular. Other honorable mentions are Danheim, Wadruna (Vikings sound track!), Rúnfell, there was one other group I really liked but can't remember them :) highly recommend.
Genshin is a great game for small devices when you are not able to play properly. You can play it when you travel (bus, train) when you are waiting, at airport for example. Yep, it´s gacha game, but you don´t need to buy anything to complete it and to get something from it. It´s not a competitive game, only single player one, so F2P players can enjoy it as well, besides, there is a lot of rewards so it´s possible to get better characters and weapons for free as well. Yeah MiHoyo is not a greatest developer, but they are greedy more or less same as anyone else. I love it and I am not even fan of anime or gacha.
Joe should record a reaction video for THE MATRIX AWAKENS because it is not what Joe thinks it is. Alanah Pearce, among others are truly stunned by this UE5 demo. Joe doesn't know what he's missing out. Quite possibly the best 10 minutes of his gaming life so far. Just Do It.

Highly recommend GTFO. It’s hard - the first few levels of the new rundown aren’t, mostly because they’re just meant to introduce non-early-access players who’ve never played to the game mechanics - the levels take awhile to beat but it’s a very fun challenge. Love the lore, though it’s kind of subtle and you have to go out of your way to bother with terminal logs, which it’s worth it as it enriches the main story really. Enemies rely on sound, you have to stop moving when they’re active to ensure they don’t wake up, sneak around to gather resources for sections where you’ll have to fight, manipulate the game and devise strategies to overcome sections. Seriously underrated game.

The Elden Ring has gotten nothing more than positive feedback from the beta players, most of them are longtime souls game players and YT creators for playthrus and world record holders.
Most of them said the only issue is the balance between weapons and magic, that will be fixed of course, and that it is the most bug free pre-test they have ever played, so fingers crossed its gonna be a solid game when it comes out. As far as i can tell its a mix of sekiro/darksouls/bloodborne all merged into one huge game.
Thats what happened with Cyberpunk and we all know how that turned out

@@shade7327 Cyberpunk’s actual gameplay was hidden extensively from everyone until release. Elden Ring was made available for dozens of reviewers for 72 hours, and then to the public for 15 hours. Pretty much everyone loved it. This is nowhere near the same situation.
I doubt Joe even knows that there is a gameplay trailer, 20 minute gameplay showcase and that there was a 3 day long network test with thousands of participants around the world with hours upon hours of gameplay. Joe just hates the genre and doesn't follow news on them that closely.

(Yes without dupes your character is incomplete as constellations add a multitude of things that greatly improve your character, GL with those rates on timed banners.)
Genshin is greedy even for a gacha imo, most gacha's with a dupe system it's at least realistic to max out some of your favorites, better rates, better pity system, characters return far more often for you to pull dupes etc. etc.(Not that they don't ask far to much for what they provide/what you get as consumer as well.... but it's better then Genshin when it comes to the gacha aspect)
Genshin is the better game but the worse Gacha compared to other gacha's, which is a pity, I have no interest in playing with demo/trail versions of characters that I'll never be able to get the complete version of without spending a shit ton no mater how much I play, wtf is there to do anyhow if you can't play to improve your characters end game........ especially without ya know no end game lol

Me and my friends haven´t wasted a single penny on it and still have multiple limited banner characters, in fact the majority of the fanbase is F2P. The characters have reruns and now they come even faster with double reruns at the same time, even if you have no wishes to use on them when they come out you can still wait till you get a rerun. You can max out any characte you want in a month easily, and you got ZERO need for constellations, Mihoyo makes it clear that Cons are whale bait since you can clear the game without having a single one. You literally have nothing on this game hard enough to justify buying constellations, unless it´s 4 stars wich are easier to get.
And Genshin, unlike a lot of Gachas, has a lot more than Cute characters and graphics to justify playing it. I play it for the lore, story, bosses and music.

I think that people are failing to appreciat how they released trailers. We got decently early gameplay before the actual beta was released. If Elden Ring DEVS wanna release Cinematic crap with no meat and potatoes in them AFTER we know what we're getting, then by all means do so.

The trailer is very likely going to be the opening cinematic of the game, and tbh it wasn't as epic as their previous cinematics, it was very lore heavy this time around. I think Elden Ring will very likely be their best game to date, but that cinematic was their weakest yet. Still very solid tho. Also joe just isn't into Fromsoft games at all, so his reaction wasn't that surprising.

Nintendo still does exactly that in most of their games.
They just fucked the concept up. I remember reading some ancient game magazines and thinking "how cool it would be to download an extra level that's clearly an afterthought in Tomb Raider after I've completed the game". Well there are some like Shivering Isles and DA Awakening or simply Halo map packs where it really works. But at this point those kind of gems are muddled under broken games at release to be patched later, tons of piecemeal moneysucking trash trinkets shoved at my face in every corner and dlc stories removed from the main game story and sold at ridiculous cost/length ratio compared to the main game. "DLC was supposed to save the world, not pull them companies in darkness!" or something like that.

Such are the issues of working in an industry dominated by multi-billion dollar corporate publishers who are heading towards completely monopolizing the market. Honestly I'm not surprised that they aren't mentioning it here, it could lead to severe issues for the entire enterprise, and while it's easy to say "they should speak out" most people doing so don't have direct pressure on them concerning their livelihoods. The vast majority of developers who came out to talk about these issues have already left the company involved. The US is in a recession right now, a recession that is only getting worse, and the job market is pretty shockingly thin, which is exactly why most of these companies are able to behave the way they do and still have a work force (which completely contradicts the whole unregulated capitalist argument of "employee control of workplace conditions through choice of employment").
The fact is, at the end of the day, this is a legislation and state issue moreso than it is one to be resolved within the industry. We already know how unregulated capitalism goes, it leads to exploitation, price gouging, and horrible workplace standards unless these are specifically placed in law and there is some form of oversight to enforce this regulation. This happens in every industry, and just because it has been revealed in some, don't believe it will change, these huge companies will continue to abuse employees and consumer's alike, they are just going to be more controlling of information and make show's of concession. It's like the corporate uptake of populist political movements, they don't actually care, it's just a money issue, so as soon people forget or move onto other issues those same companies will still behave in the sane manner as they always have.

Joe! Star Wars Eclipse is set in the High Republic era, a completely different era set WAY before the Skywalker saga. This game will be an action adventure game. Quantic Dream made Detroit Become Human, and a lot of great narrative games before.

I liked Slitterhead, Have a Nice Death, Evil West, Alan Wake 2, Wonder Woman, Star Wars Eclipse, SteelRising, Nightingale, TUNIC, Arc Raiders, Planet of Lana, Space Marine 2, Somerville.
Watching this and all the ads in it, I realized just how little I care for the (corporately) popular genres these days. So many "TriPLe AaA" games these days are so hellbent on getting you to cough up cash that they fuck their own progress and structure up for it, so I just don't fucking bother. The title I've found most enjoyable that came out in the last 1-2 years is "Tell me why", a Dontnod game (just picture Life is Strange but with MUCH better writing). People may deride games like that as walking simulators, but as a PhD student, I simply don't have the time or energy to grind for weeks in some looter shooter or RPG to get to finally enjoy them anymore. I'll stick to my occasional ARAM matches in LoL with friends and to smaller, actually complete games that are more story driven. Oh, and DnD, of course.

This comment is not to Troll or be a ass, it makes me sad seeing a ICON of online gaming turn into a bitter unhappy shell of what he used to be, a ambassador to GREAT gaming especially for people over 30. Now its Battlefield, COD, The Division, Destiny and whatever other online shooter is trendy for two weeks. Im not angry, Im not trolling Joe, Im sad for Joe.

I know for a fact he will try it but if he does not enjoy it because of its genre he WILL NOT REVIEW THE GAME His done whis with all genres that he does not enjoy, he will play it he probably won't enjoy it
Other than that next years line up of games are REALLY strong (completely disregarding cyberpunk 2077 disaster) if they all come out amazing it would be a strong line up

I will be more then happy to do that, but I'll bet you a virtual beer, that my spoiler will be pretty damn accurate. Joe has not evolved as a gamer, great reviewer, shit gamer. This game will be too much for him, not to mention MOST of his recent reviews are games that he can finish in a weekend. Elden Ring will not be finished in a weekend.

Not sure what you've been told, Joe, but Genshin Impact is a very friendly F2P game. You can complete the whole game with the characters they give you for free and they give you more for no charge. The pull system is very generous compared to other gacha games and has redefined what gacha rates are fair for players. It's a game that I played just out of curiosity and the story and gameplay pulled me in.

Alan Wake 2 was a huge surprise. I've met Sami Järvi(Sam Lake) in Helsinki a few years ago. He's one of the nicest dudes I've ever met in the video game industry.

Hey OJ and dudes, I highly recommend you look up more of Heilung's music! They are the band that makes the EPIC song for Senua's Saga: Hellblade 2. Heilung - In Maidjen is one of my favorites by them, but EFF that watch the ENTIRE LIVE SHOW they made, though I do say Hamrer Hippyer is my personal favorite song they made. Their performances are spectacular. Other honorable mentions are Danheim, Wadruna (Vikings sound track!), Rúnfell, there was one other group I really liked but can't remember them :) highly recommend.
Seems like just yesterday we were all throwing eggs at them for not picking Doom Eternal for anything.

Genshin is a great game for small devices when you are not able to play properly. You can play it when you travel (bus, train) when you are waiting, at airport for example. Yep, it´s gacha game, but you don´t need to buy anything to complete it and to get something from it. It´s not a competitive game, only single player one, so F2P players can enjoy it as well, besides, there is a lot of rewards so it´s possible to get better characters and weapons for free as well. Yeah MiHoyo is not a greatest developer, but they are greedy more or less same as anyone else. I love it and I am not even fan of anime or gacha.
Joe should record a reaction video for THE MATRIX AWAKENS because it is not what Joe thinks it is. Alanah Pearce, among others are truly stunned by this UE5 demo. Joe doesn't know what he's missing out. Quite possibly the best 10 minutes of his gaming life so far.

I don't understand why Joe and the crew hates Genshin Impact so much. Yes its a mobile game and its a gacha game but I still love it to this day its one of the better mobile/pc games I've played in awhile

Guys, is this not your career? How about doing at least the bare minimum bit of research. We already have a Dokev gameplay trailer that you guys reacted positively to if I remember correctly. If you had listened here, they said this kpop performance was meant as a thank you for the great response they were receiving from us. Honestly, this was just rude imo
