Hey man, old video so I’m not sure if you’ll see this. I just retired from the Army and I’m building my dream truck and right now I’m working on sound. I REALLY appreciate this video. So I've got 2 skar 12s that are 250 rms with max 500. I was running just one off a cheap Jensen 600/250 amp. All ran at 4ohms. But when I added the extra sub ran in series tested it with the vaultmeter at 3.8/4 ohm. Now because I've added the sub I need to basically double the wattage running it like that? I was thinking of just going and getting the same amp and running them individually because it ran so well.
Hey I got 2 12” skar subs with a 1200 amp and after I play them for a while with the gain up they start to clip and get distorted. They sound good for a while but after playing them for a while not so good. Does this mean I need a more powerful amp or did I damage my subs?
I don't know much about stereo systems, but I'm trying to learn. I'm not sure of what I need to be looking for in an amp. I plan on getting new door speakers also, there are door speakers in the front and back seat of my car. I have a box with 2 subs in it. So how many channels do I need my amp to have? Or should I run separate amps for the subs and door speakers?
I understand exactly what you’re saying and I’ve never been able to understand, but I have one problem. I don’t wanna run 2 amps, but I accidentally bought two d2 subs instead of d4 , and I did not want to run my subs at 2 ohms
Hello, Looking for some help in choosing the correct car amplifier. For a combination of Sony speakers XS-162ES at front & XS-160ES at rear, which is a suitable amplifier among Sony XM-GS4 or XM-4ES? I require to get crystal clear sound only with some good bass. I am NOT looking for very loud sound. What are the extra things to get from XM-4ES over XM-GS4, is it only loudness or the output is far better in terms of clarity? Is it worth the price if I install XM-4ES or XM-GS4 will meet my requirements? If you can please let me know. Thanks!

Hey bud i got a 4 channel 1200w amp and im looking to run 1 10in amp and 2 6x9 speakers. How many watts should my amp be any advice from anyone in the comments is welcome too, thanks in advance
Depends on your alternator amps if your alt is 100 amps than anything over 1000 rms is being wasted, unless you want to upgrade your electrical… but 1000 will pound if your speakers match the amp
I have a 1000w infinity 12in subwoofer that i paired with a 1000w rms stable amp at 1ohm... however i selected 4ohm on the sub before installing into the box. Im wondering if my amp will be good for this setup or did i severely limit my sub by selexting 4ohms instead of 2ohms? The booklet for the amp shows 400watts at 4ohms so i think my amp will only push 400watts to the sub, is this correct? Should i take the sub out of the box and select 2ohm to get more watts from the amp? Im so confused to be honest
JP answer me this. Say you have a 10 500w 300rms svc 2ohm If you have a amp that does 1000w 400rms at 2ohm amp or 500w 400rms 2ohm. Does it get any difference between the two amps in performance if one cast 500$ vs one that's $50 if they output the same
You're a bass Gawd! Thank you for this information. I now know what fuse to run for my JP8. Question, I'm going to purchase the JP84 amplifier for my speakers. It's a 450-watt amp. What is the correct fuse for it?

So I have the harmony audio 800.1. The dyno sheet that came with the amp states it tested out at 904 watts rms @ 1ohm. I have it pushing the Rockville k5 single 12 1 ohm final load in the ported box. The sub is rated at 350 watts rms. 700 watts power handling. It’s a pretty good combo. It bumps pretty hard. The thing is should I not use the bass boost at all ? What’s the point of that if not to use it ? I’ve got the gain turned about 3/4 of the way up just tuned by ear. I can turn the gain all the way up and the speaker can handle it.
