@@Food24112 If you're really struggling, I recomend looking at Wargame Red Dragon tutorials. Completely different era, but the basics and principles are the same.
Agreed, although there is a tutorial, but it is so simple that it might as well be tutorial for something like Red Alert and not this game at all.

Thanks for this, very useful, I never bothered using hunt move before but my god, it made a huge difference, before I’d loose tanks instantly but with hunt move they’re far more effective on the battlefield and last much much longer

Thanks for the vid. Good to have the grouping technique refreshed in my mind, and the Quick Hunt pointed out. Wondered how you focused on displaying a unit, and a middle mouse click when a unit is displayed is the answer.
It's scrolling the mouse wheel while hovered over the unit but yeah. Glad to help!

I'm 13 minutes into this video. I purchased the larger package with DLC and I think this game looks great. Great video for someone who hasn't seen or played two seconds of this game yet.

Not only you can capture supply trucks. You can also capture tanks and vehicles that have been bailed out or with it's crew killed after the battle.

9:50 Actually from what I saw vehicles will plot path around light forest when possible in order to avoid the associated movement penalty no matter the type of movement order. It's not always desirable as you can tell, I wish the behaviour was only associated with fast move/hunt order. On top there's no more autocover for vehicle for... reasons, which could have more utility now than in SD44.
Yeah kind of, it is a bit different for sure but for clarity I just thought I'd give it's intended purpose.

I have purchased this game few days ago. Being really an old-time player I find SD2 as a... troubling game. After playing first hour I had so many "WTF" lights flashing in my head that I decided to give it a raincheck... for few days ;-P. Now trying to get some proper knowledge ;-)

Great tutorial, this helps a lot. Not sure if I missed it, but I don't recall any explanation on what the different phases mean.
I think I cover that in my other tutorial. Basically each phase has a different income. Phase A and B being 10 mins and phase C till the end of the game. You can build your battlegroups to facilitate availability and income in each phase.
are you able to do a men of war thing and put the command in the tank and have a bunch of tanks togeather ?
in game tutorial should also cover these concepts and btw this is still a useful tutorial
I recently brought Steel Division 2, I have been watching your tutorials and I fine them very informative, I'm still having some issues with the game. First, the tutorials that are with the game it self are good, but when I get to the skirmish tutorial it seems that I can only do the Inital deployment phase movement, I also know that I should be able to left click on any unit (my units) but all I get is the Beacon activate, also I tried to rotate around my unit but with no help. I do have a gaming mouse with a total of 8 buttons an I tried all 8 still nothing, If ther is something I need to do in the Options please let me know. I need HELP BAD

Thank you for this! It was badly needed. Any chance you could explain how the timer works exactly? I can't for the life of me figure out how, when or why it changes when you capture flags, often going from 10 minutes left to 2 minutes left in mere seconds.
What's up with that?
I'm not entirely sure on the parameters myself to be honest, but basically the longer the game goes on, the more or less a lead has an impact (at least in singleplayer). There are certain numbers of flags at each phase required to speed up ticket loss, and this changes between conquest and breakthrough.

Question: if you order a plane to fire at a visible unit and then you lose visibility of that unit, will that plane continue to fire at it, fire position at the last know position, or will the plane not do anything at all?

They will continue the attack (unlike in Wargame) unless they were targeting an enemy plane they can't see anymore
they will attack the last known position
Yeah gotta be quick. But most of the time they will hit the target whereas if you strafing that's a bit hit n miss. (Bombs are ok).
Can you play this game like cmbb and the other combat mission games from matrix like Normandy, Black Sea, Cold War?
Can you resupply infantry with the supply truck? Also I've read that supply truck can repair tanks... is it true? Because I've tried but it doesn't work for me.

I need help in understanding how to effectively place units, defend positions etc especially with infantry. I keep losing too many men to the AI
It's mainly about using heavy cover and the line of sight tool. Maybe have a look at some of my gameplay or my campaign playlist. I will cover it in more detail in the future though.
How do u zoom in out from the bigger map
Did you mention artillerymen? That's the thing I am unsure on. (Maybe missed it didn't watch all the vid as I know how to play pretty much).
One thing have found recently is using recon planes don't always show up enemy units. I e artillery when it's unloaded (you can use fire pos).
And for me the big thing has been line of sight. Made a huge difference and plus your tips have just won 6/7 defence batlles playing as the Germans (Army general)
It's Geobrabcter or something I don't know. The Vlod guy Is the Russian equivalent?
P.s Am guessing youll do a more advanced vid but this vid is perfect to start.

@@VulcanHDGaming Ah good. Lol, I had been about to comment on that. But thought occurred to me maybe this particular division/deck wasn't well suited to demonstrate that. I remember seeing that there's a couple of Soviet divisions with zero radio-equipped artillery. There's even one division (might've been this one) that has an Artillerist card available but zero radio-equipped artillery to benefit from it; now THAT's a n00b trap, lol.

It's like I'm playing a different game. I have never seen the hunt command before as it's always greyed out. Calling in air is pointless as enemies have infinite aa and destroy any plane you send. I have never gotten a crew knocked out, or gun jam.
Mine has really bad graphics and there is no color can you help me with that?
If you have infantry that is unloaded by a truck, the truck goes away, how do I get them back in the truck?

Why is Infantry needed when tanks can do damage to armored and to enemy infantry?
How's the path finding? Do units bunch up or run into each other?
In theory they can bump into one another but they tend to spread out a little by default if multiple units are selected.
Will I like SDII if I'm a Close Combat series fan?
I think so. It's kind of like a cross between Close Combat and Company of Heroes.

Make sure your mouse is hovered over the unit you'd like to zoom in on.

Vulcan how do you turn tank or vehicle around on spot and how do you turn off return fire???
Easiest way to turn a vehicle is use the reverse command in the direction away from what you want to face. As for return fire, there is a button in bottom right. If you are having trouble with it being always on then check options or rules of engagement.

Not at the moment no, sorry. You can slow it down though in single player.
