I have loved skateboarding ever since I 1st stepped on a board. I am 37 now and have been watching sk8 vidz for about 22 years since the original Powell Peralta days. I gotta say thats probably the best footage I have seen. Its the subtle things in that vid that only a skateboarders eye can see. A switch 50-50 on that set up !!!! Danny Way is the man.
The thing is, because you've got so much air time the tricks are actually comparitively easy. The big thing is A) having the balls to go on one of thos big bastards in the first place and B)Willing to accept the consequence of a heavy fucking slam!!!! Love Danny Way from way back in the day - much love!!
Think it was second jump when the board hit the grindin pole whatever and got stuck just cracked me up, couldn't stop laughin, just seing his legs running as hes flyin through air, can imagine hes thinking "oh $%!*, where'd ma board go?!", and then the footage after of the board still stuck there :D
Last Time I saw him was Summer 1990 in a Train from Barcelona to Madrid, we threw out a fire extinguisher which instantly exploded, he grabbed the next one and did it too. Then one of us climed out of the train at full speed to climb to the next train, again he had to do it too. Ahh, such a copycat! He had green hair back then... :)
