I don't think some people realize how much this part changed skateboarding. You see the mega ramp in the x games every year now, but it had never been done before this. Danny Way is one of the legends of skateboarding
do you know the big brother mag videos? that was the shit. with johnny knoxville coming out like the whole later jackass family...that was the nicest skate video for me, especially vol.2 :P ruclips.net/video/6emBFPJFqGE/видео.html you also get a new superhero: DEVO!
This video inspired me to keep skating in 2003. I went full on hardcore till 2011 after having started in 1985. I still take my board to San Diego on vacation and roll around. Still got my pressure and nollie flips on lock after all these years :)
The year is 1991, me and my brother whent to a metallica consert, Sucidal open for them.. 1992 he came back home from the states with a brand new danny board.. My first brand new and not hand me down.. Still have it.
I'm same age as DW. He was one of the first who could do vert, but also do street. Back in late 80s into early 90s, many sic vert skaters fell by wayside as street took over. Certain ramp skaters survived because they were adaptable, and just too good
Only now I understand how mind blowing this part is. As a kid I just couldn't relate to vert/mega ramp skating. Danny Way is one of a kind. Up there with Tony,Gonz,Natas,Mullen and all other top legends in skate industry.
I was 8 years old when this came out, first skate video I ever got, I remember getting to this part and my jaw hitting the floor. I'm still shocked and awed by this. Legendary
Dude! My story is damn near the exactly same! I believe this came out - June of 2003. Pops had it ready for my ninth birthday at the beginning of July. If I can recall(damn I'm getting old) this was promoted/advertised on the Winter X Games prior to its release. Simpler times. Opening this was a great feeling as a youngin. My pops and I watched it instantly. I recall the look on my dad's face when this part came to an end. You would have thought he had just landed on Neptune. Could not believe what we had just witnessed go down on a skateboard!!! Wish I could put a number on how many time I watched it during the summer of 03. Anyhow, legendary video to this day. Groundbreaking riding, incredible soundtrack, and a little sneak peak into Rob & Big!! A little crazy I'm respnding to a 10 year old message. Man oh man, that Ferris Buler quote about time hits harder the older you get. "...If you don't stop and look around once in a while..." If this find you, I hope time is treating you well!
I dont think most understand how insane this part is.........The 1st part is almost impossible for 98% of vert skaters to this day....Burnquist and only a few even stand up......Anyone who disagrees please post the footage...
I remember him saying it took him something like 4 years or so to make the first half. After the video his skills had advanced so much that he could do every trick in a couple days. The guy is fucking Legend.
This brings me back to being 10 years old, I watched the DC video like every day. This was the last part and it always got me so pumped to go out and skate. Great memories. I got the video shortly after it came out maybe in 04. 17 years later this part stands the test of time.
It feels so damn good to watch this part again! The crazy level of tech and power on vert, gnarly ass street skating (that switch frontside flip into the bank blew my mind when I first saw it), the frickin megaramp, the lift on top of the huge halfpipe (I still have that 5-0 Transworld cover on my wall), kickflip nosegrinding the deep and of a pool with no pads, etc. etc. all topped with Suicidal and Metallica make for such a perfect part.
I remember the promo for this movie. It had the mega ramp in there for a bit. When finally watching it, you knew it was coming. Then...the fade to intro 5:07...Inside, you knew it was time. Watching the DC Video for the first time back then was an experience. Kalis part for me set the tone.
Seeing this for the 1st time when this video was first released was the most INSANE thing I’ve ever seen my entire life. People take this type of air for granted now, back then we truly appreciate the insanity of this! After seeing this part, i think Danny Way is the greatest skater to ever do it, hands down
This part is the definition of legendary. Hands down. A very skater who defies the laws of everything and made us all rethink the possibilities of everything. I watch this and get misty eyed at the beauty and gnarliness of this every time and it’s hard to believe this came out 17 years ago. I was only 14. This is perfection in chaos.
danny way is no longer breaking boundaries, he is the boundaries of skateboarding. if you can pass the skills of this god then you are not of this earth
Who cares who is better?! What does it matter? Look at what each of them have done for skateboarding. They have each brought it to a new level. Tony has been around for a long time and made a great career for himself. He's invented numerous tricks and done lots for skating and charities. Danny has taken street tricks to the ramp and done things no one has ever thought of, let alone try. Who's better? It doesn't matter. They are both legends and we're lucky to have them in our world.
Danny NO Way! Danny Way better! Danny Way above the clouds! Danny.. Ok, damn! I never get tired of watching this! He's sick! Way to go Danny! Danny HighWay!
@FlingTM its orion my metallica im sure, epic song, goes so well with the mega ramp bit dunnit. This section features the best madonna ever done, so good. suicidal tendencies just makes it perfect.
He was the “ Good kid” for the industry Danny was way better If you check it as a olimpic thing Tony is the man If you see Sk8 as an art of doing the impossible Danny was always the man He had style …Tony has manners ( team manager approach, food looking guy) I’m from 1979 . Danny is the The man for our generation. The fame is for tony
I managed to get ahold of $20 one day, and had the choice to spend it on upgrading to an Adventure Quest pro account or buying The DC Video from Manny at the skateshop. Turned out I made the right choice and got to see Day Way learn to fly first hand on this solid block of a dvd.
When this came out I wanted to skate mega ramp so bad that I made a fake mini mega in my suburban backyard. I didn’t really have the talent or budget Danny had but I had fun
@sk84lifenick1 because when this all happened danny was the only person even attempting to do this. everything he did on the mega ramp was the first time it had been done. no one else did a 720 across a mega ramp until jake brown in 2007 and no one did them consistently until a year later. that 720 caused many, many people to shit their pants when they saw it because at the time it was just impossible to imagine. this is truly one of the best skate video parts ever
I don't think some people realize how much this part changed skateboarding. You see the mega ramp in the x games every year now, but it had never been done before this. Danny Way is one of the legends of skateboarding
He revolutionized skateboarding. Your comment is 💯
Amen!! Agree with you!
For real! He literally invented a completely new discipline of not only skateboarding, but BMX, scootering and rollerblading.
For me this one is still today one of the best skate video parts of all the time, the music, the tricks, the edition.
He legit set records in it. That alone ensures this part will stay timeless
do you know the big brother mag videos? that was the shit. with johnny knoxville coming out like the whole later jackass family...that was the nicest skate video for me, especially vol.2 :P ruclips.net/video/6emBFPJFqGE/видео.html
you also get a new superhero: DEVO!
I mean he killed it , in the streets alone …
This video inspired me to keep skating in 2003. I went full on hardcore till 2011 after having started in 1985. I still take my board to San Diego on vacation and roll around. Still got my pressure and nollie flips on lock after all these years :)
Legend... this is one of the best skaters ever to live
Ewa stef
You mean one
Is there a drone ? Sick footage ? Maybe back in those days it was cable high wire cam
The year is 1991, me and my brother whent to a metallica consert, Sucidal open for them.. 1992 he came back home from the states with a brand new danny board.. My first brand new and not hand me down.. Still have it.
dadygee I just took my little bro to see suicidal open for megadeth I love em!!
With Danzig?
Im 18 years old and i just started about one month ago, you guys are very lucky to grew up watching him! He’s a beast
I hope youre still at it! My problem has always been staying committed to it, but i still try lol
I'm same age as DW. He was one of the first who could do vert, but also do street. Back in late 80s into early 90s, many sic vert skaters fell by wayside as street took over. Certain ramp skaters survived because they were adaptable, and just too good

This shit gets me emotional..top 5 skateboarding video part of all time
Undoubtedly one of the most iconic skate video parts in history 🤘🤘
I was 8 years old when this came out, first skate video I ever got, I remember getting to this part and my jaw hitting the floor. I'm still shocked and awed by this. Legendary
Dude!

Steve Perry I actually believe he’s the greatest to ever step in the game
This wasn't your average vert part in a video
I remember him saying it took him something like 4 years or so to make the first half. After the video his skills had advanced so much that he could do every trick in a couple days. The guy is fucking Legend.
Song choices/editing are almost as epic as the skating
20 years old one of the best parts ever made
This brings me back to being 10 years old, I watched the DC video like every day. This was the last part and it always got me so pumped to go out and skate. Great memories. I got the video shortly after it came out maybe in 04. 17 years later this part stands the test of time.
Songs:
00:00 You cant bring me down - Suicidal Tendencies
5:09 Orion - Metallica
15+! Years later still an amazing part
This man pioneered the mega ramp and simultaneously set standards hardly anyone can live up to 15 years later.....
Man was doing things that shouldn’t be possible.
Straight f*cking beautiful!!! Scenes like these remind me why I'll forever be in love with skateboarding...
This video is still One of the best. Danny Way.... legendary!
Danny casually throwing in the gnarly street footy is such a fucking FLEXXXXX!!!
I remember the promo for this movie. It had the mega ramp in there for a bit. When finally watching it, you knew it was coming. Then...the fade to intro 5:07...Inside, you knew it was time.

I remember they actually had commercials for this video on tv when it came out
Everything came together PERFECTLY for that Danny Way grand finale (5:09)...utterly legendary.
Can we appreciate the editing in the mega ramp part? The way the tricks sync up with Metallica's 'Orion' is truly beautiful
Dc video one of the best skate videos ever
danny way is one of those rare pro skaters who are god at vert and street, awesome to watch
The most resilient skateboarder of all times. Thanks for showing that enthusiasm and resoluteness. You're inspiring.
Damn, the way he hits those ramps is insane!
i still have this vhs video i bought in 2003, my first skateboard movie , i was 11 years old then
this should have millions of views
Danny way and feat's that he and only he has accomplished will be spoken of for centuries to come...
The whole DC skate video has alway been one of my favourite.
danny way is no longer breaking boundaries, he is the boundaries of skateboarding. if you can pass the skills of this god then you are not of this earth

video+song=motivation ufff respect from spain!
it is incredible how amazing of a vert skater he is but even more mid boggling is how good of a street skater he is
He could quit skating vert and still have his name on a board
In the early 90's, he once won a vert contest...then walked over to the street contest and placed 2nd. It was absolutely unheard of at the time.
4:15 is one of my favorite parts to see him do a mctwist in the more shallow side of the pool is really cool
03:15 perfect...!!! 360 backside
this video is a part of my skateboarding heart that I dont care if anybody else doesnt understand.
RIP ken block, tks for introduce us dc shoes.
GREATEST OF ALL TIME 😮❤
The DC Video has some of the best editing ever made.
ALL TIME BEST SKATE video ever U CAN DOOO IT DANNY
Dude......Mind over matter. True insperation. Peace and longevity to you Danny Way. Keep doing the undoable!
still one of the greatest skate parts of all time.
Who didn't wanna fly like Danny Way when they were a kid I thought I was the man hitting Gaps on my Skateboard haha
Revisiting this video part since it came out. Legendary skater. Still blows my mind...
Danny Way is one of a kind and to me personally the most impressive skater ever.
He set a new bar with this part. THE NUTS!
Great tunes, legendary part. The rodeo in the shallow end of the pool will get overlooked, but holy shit
i bought this on psp years ago, such nostalgia
Danny you are the man. Can't believe you did the great wall.
Thanks for the video. This brings back some epic memories. Still love to roll around. 🤙🏼
I had the
Danny Way DC Aerotech shoes back in middle school haha.
Tony Hawk didn't get a video game for just doing a 900, he had a long and very successful skateboard career
He was the “
Good kid” for the industry
Danny was way better
If you check it as a olimpic thing Tony is the man
If you see Sk8 as an art of doing the impossible
Danny was always the man
He had style …Tony has manners ( team manager approach, food looking guy)
I’m from 1979 . Danny is the The man for our generation. The fame is for tony

laws of physics be damned
Goose bumps every time
Definitely one of my favorite parts of all time but a ytp version of this would be ridiculous
The inventor of Big Air Skating - Danny Way is the GOAT 🐐
Danny Ways best Vid by far 👊 back to back world records
metallica makes this so fucking sick
xD
but suicidal
one of the all time kings and one of the all time best parts for sure, this shit is beautiful
When this came out I wanted to skate mega ramp so bad that I made a fake mini mega in my suburban backyard. I didn’t really have the talent or budget Danny had but I had fun
Wow this guy is insane, just stumbled across his mega ramp accident, now watching some of his edits and he is incredible
This ain't no Jimmy Wilsons right here. This is Danny FUCKING Way! 🤙🦅
That's how I learned to protect my self on verts or bowls but now also in street 🔥 amazing man 🔥 0:20
So sick.danny way is a legend no doubt. Him and rob dyrdek inspire my skateboarding
@sk84lifenick1 because when this all happened danny was the only person even attempting to do this. everything he did on the mega ramp was the first time it had been done. no one else did a 720 across a mega ramp until jake brown in 2007 and no one did them consistently until a year later. that 720 caused many, many people to shit their pants when they saw it because at the time it was just impossible to imagine. this is truly one of the best skate video parts ever
blessed to have groWN up skating at this time, GO DANNY
5:20 brought me here almost 20 yrs later
Love how he also put in the effort to get street clips too.
this has to be the greatest video part EVER
I've just now realized how gnarly that Rick flip is...
in a way, the song and video go together in an epic kind of way. hahahaha
its weird seeing danny skate street, but he god damn rips at it
Not sure why that would be weird. He was one of the first big handrail skaters almost 30 years ago.
This guy was way ahead of his time
For those wondering...Danny wasn't in any THSP game because he is the game.
That's about the best Madonna I've ever seen.
i like DC... because of Danny Way
75 feet!!!! fuck thats a motocross jump, full stop the gnarliest man on earth, fucking jumps the great wall with a broken ankle!!!
greatest. ramp. skater. ever. period.
This part is timeless.
God damn I miss cky and all the skaters around this time they were the true ballers no one understud us and we were gods in the early 2000's
That FS Flip into down the euro gap... pffft. Big deal. Ryan Gee OLLIED it in Chomp on this XD
Best video part ever.
Love on the big air run, he grabs the board a second time near/after the peak. "Get the fuck over here" What a ruler
Danny Way to skateboarding is what Isaac Newton is to mathematics. His calculus being the mega ramp
it's so unreal and inhuman, I skate for several years now and I still can believe it's possible to an human being to do that.
Danny is such a....god !
best vert skater of all time.
What a time to be a skateboarder
Danny Way=Greatest Skater Ever
probably the best video part ever
yeah, with the little gecko, "dig down, dig deep danny!!!" collin mckay is a riot
This needs to be remastered in 4K 2024 20yr edition
awesome dvd still got it
phoenix pc.. skate more video.. in loving memories
