Deep down, subconciously, the Imperium knows. "The Emperor Protects."; sometimes idioisms and popular sayings seem to carry with them truth buried somewhere, so maybe the Imperium knows, they just forgot that they should remember? The Primarchs seem to understand just how tremendously powerful the Father is, Guilliman seems to get it now, after "speaking" with Big E. This is an excellent passage, for sure.
Eldrad said to Guillman that the fates of Human and Eldar are intertwined. The Eldar must one day realize that The Emperor might very well be the best way to save them from Slaanesh
I really wish one of the craftworld eldar groups would ally themselves with mankind without any tricks, and humanity would accept them in a similar way they accept squats and abhumans. The eldar group in question could be free from she who thirsts and could live without following a path like craftworld eldar to save themselves while also not requiring the torture techniques the drukari use to save themselves.

@@DakkaDakka12 Unfortunately, so long as the highly xenophobic and highly religious Inquisition is in control of the Imperium, mankind will never accept an alliance from the Eldar.
@@DakkaDakka12 The difference between the Eldar and the abhumans, such as squats, is that the Eldar are xeno. They're aliens, not mutated humans. That's why they're reviled. Since the great crusade began, one of the core tenants was to mistrust aliens, because their betrayal of mankind was one of the many reasons humans fell into a galactic dark age in the time before the Emperor revealed himself to humanity. That's why he taught man to fear the xeno, because xenos had proven themselves untrustworthy. Edit: To compound on this; Any race (especially in this millennia of warfare) will inevitably put their own well being ahead of humanity's. This is why the stance towards aliens had to be mistrust, because they will betray you when there is an incentive to do so, and the Emperor's goal/purpose was/is to always put humanity's interest first. If you can even imagine it, the Eldar find humanity even more repugnant than we find them. The only reason they are attempting to "ally" with humans now, is because the Eldar now _need_ Mankind. More accurately, they need the *Emperor* of Mankind. If it became convenient for them to turn on us, after the fact, they more than definitely would - barring any happy-go-lucky writing on behalf of the new Black Library staff.
There isn't enough lore between the Eldar and the Emperor, we more need old lore, like the friendship between the Emperor and Eldrad; that has to be flushed out.
@anirecapped. not at all. He was order personified, hence anathema to chaos. Now he is a warp entity eg a entity of chaos, just a human oriented one. He was a man, now he is akon to a warp "god"
I sort of remember a dark Eldar came close enough to the Emperor that his suffering supercharged her to the point she claimed she could no longer feel slanesh pulling at her soul. It wasn’t described as a pleasant experience, more akin to suffering sudden vertigo and a fraction of a fraction of a fraction of the Emperors pain.
He knows how powerful the Emperor is. Most people forget that the Big E "holding back Chaos" is basically a guy holding closed and already locked door. He's not out there throwing hands with the Chaos Gods in the Warp every day like a lot of people think He is. Magnus I think, is just unaware of how busted and scattered his father's soul is or if he does, he knows that as he is right now, he couldn't take Chaos openly. He can strike out at it in limited ways and can do so more now than ever thanks to the psychic awakening however the only times he has ever actually managed to do anything truly meaningful against Chaos has been in those moments when he pulls himself together temporarily - like when he spoke to Guilliman or saved gim from Mortarion and burned a section of Nurgle's Garden. There's also the fact that Chaos isn't used to being confronted by anything even remotely close to their own power aside from each other - let alone a being that can actually match them. I imagine it was quite the shock for Nurgle and likely caught him very off guard. With all that said, I think either Magnus is unaware of just how badly shared Big E really is or if he does know, he's aware that daddy can't fight Chaos as he is without becoming whole again.
@@justinanderson2460 That's just not correct at all. He has to constantly struggle to hold the door shut against the raw warp. He is literally holding back the raw warp after the webway was breached. The task of doing it was enough to kill Malcador, who was powerful enough to kill a normal primarch with his mind, in a few hours and it weakened the Emperor before he faced Horus. The Gods were unable to face the Emperor so they had to combine their powers into Horus to do so. That's the literal point of the Heresy, the only way they could destroy his plans to rid Mankind of the threat of he warp. The Gods aren't all powerful, there is a reason the Gods call him Anathema.

Honestly i still really like the theory that the Emperor found a way to bind one's own image in the warp to the material soul. That that is how the Primarchs were created, and that that is what the Emperor is slowly phasing out of. That his soul carries such an astronomical weight in the warp that his body can't bear it, literally burning away at the near-immaterial level, the only thing keeping him 'alive' and from truly ascending to the warp being the Golden Throne. To be fair they don't have anything like this in the current setting this was when the Beast was around and the Waaagh! was boosted to levels almost as high as when Ullanor was at it's peak. Remember that Ork intelligence and capabilities (any and all capabilities both physical and mental) collectively sky-rocket once the Waaagh! grows enough. As it stands now, the Orks are nowhere near that level of technological development and it will still be quite a while before Ghazkul manages to get his Waaagh! built up enough to be able to rival - let alone replicate - that kind of thing. I would argue that it may not be that 4 main Chaos gods combined are not powerful enough to overcome the EoM. But that the effort required would be so great, that it would require them to take their full attention and concentration away from the other 3/Great Game. None of the 4 are stupid enough to risk that, knowing that one or all would take that moment of supreme distraction not to try and attack or kill each other.
I actually love this! They all want the same thing. And that thing they want more then anything. Is Big Daddy dead as a dodo! But... They are so utterly flawed by their own very nature. That if on the brink of victory, which would only be attained by the complete and utter concentration of all 4 chaos gods at the same time...one of them will always break off to try to sneak a victory and dominion in the warp lol. Thus...they can NEVER win. The great game can never be won. And neither can they ever win against Emps. Poetic really for a bunch of failed human thoughts and emotions, that claim to be sentient and all powerful over us 😂
I would say that what they experienced is the same thing as if you were to hear the full might of a Lions roar alone in the wild. Despite being the dominant creature of this planet, the sheer might of that roar and knowing that despite our superior intellect and usage of tools. Such a creatur can tear us apart with ease. There is a very clear reason why the Lion itself became such a symbolic and renown creaturr associated with kingship throughout the world despite being native to a far away land with most of the people at the time never having seen nor be able to imagine how one would look like besides imagery from symbols and crests.
Nah. Consider an entire mountain roaring at you for this case. Or sun itself, which became the esoteric symbol for divinity and celestial authority. Roaring at you.
Lions didn’t go extinct in Europe till 1000-300bc. It’s not surprising they stuck around in myth and heraldry. When you hear the legend of Hercules killing a lion they actually lived in Greece alongside people of the time
Harlequins are just built different, even among the Eldar They are actually allowed to visit terra, since keeping them out would be an exercise in futility. Besides, when they do show up they generally just do their little show and then leave.

or is because he is not physically in the imaterium making him unreachable to the touch of the chaos gods different of the eldar gods that live in the warp
@@yokai1235 It's Both. He's a psyker, he has to resonate with the warp to make use of it's powers, and yet even all four chaos gods at once couldn't harm him, and they have faced him several times. However, unlike them, and unlike other immaterial creatures like the Old ones... The emperor still has a physical body, an anchor that allows him to revolve in the material realm and stabilises his being. The chaos gods can't manifest themselves out of the warp, no matter how hard they try to, because they have no ties to it, and their daemons can't stay for long on the material plane unless they find themselves an "Host" to possess. This makes the emperor practically impossible to deal with for the forces of the immaterium, because his soul always has a place to return to (that's not in the warp) thanks to his ties to mortality : The only way for the four gods to kill the emperor for good would be to destroy his very soul, something they can't do while he's alive, as he's too strong for them, but because he has strong ties to the material realm... His soul never enters the warp, even if his body was to be destroyed completely. Just like it is for perpetuals, the emperor's soul would just roam around the material realm waiting to be reincarnated, out of reach of the chaos gods and their minions. They couldn't prevent him from coming back again even if he were to die.
Well one thing people are forgetting to mention is that it’s stated multiple times that the chaos gods are NOT working together. They all want the same thing, but they don’t want to share. So yes it’s a 1v4, but the chaos god’s consistency try to undermine eachother as well.

He is absolutely holding the warp back on a daily basis. It killed malcador and shredded his soul from the effort. The warpgate under the palace was breached by magnus and caused most of the custodians to have to fight the war in the webway. Read the heresy books and you'll see.
It's interesting that the Aeldari look down on humans so much despite humanity holding It's own as whats equivalent to a child in a fight between adults. It's funny that that very disdain is basically the cause of their downfall as a race. Those who are older and wiser understand that you should never underestimate an enemy even if you believe yourself superior.
Always funny to me how condescending Eldar can be. We were ascending to a fully psykic race. Some of our ancestors were able to reincarnate, just like they were. We were able to snuff out suns, and had technology that allowed us to navigate a dimension of pure madness, where physics are a tired joke. We were able to create a device, which would allow us to mine all existing knowledge out of the warp. If they didn't decide to start flooding the warp with warped emotions, and if Horus wasn't an entitled brat, Humanity would exceed the point where it took Eldar 60 million years to get, in several tens of thousands of years.
Craftworld Iyanden has sought better ties with the Imperium, perhaps they should consider adopting worship of the Emperor as part of their own Pantheon. It could well provide their souls a safe place in the warp.
The Throneworld novel is also significant because we finally see a glimpse of the greatest and most powerful warriors of the imperium (Adeptus Custodes) fight the greatest and most fear warriors of the Aeldari (Harlequins).
I’m sure there’s a few more potent Pyskers in Trayzen’s galleries that are still “alive”. Probably the reason Trayzen hasn’t snatched the Emperor up yet

I personally like to think that Emps is the very last surviving Old One who saw humanity as his best means of achieving apotheosis and resurrecting his people.
The Aeldari lived in paradise but were the architects of their own destruction (Slaneesh). Humanity lived in misery but they created the architect for their salvation (Pre-Horus Heresy).
I believe they did sort of, one craft world sent a strike team into nurgles garden to try and free her after coming down with a plague it didn’t go well they fought almost to them but ultimately the strike team became trees in nurgles garden
@ 3:10 Does anyone know for certain whether the eyes are meant to be open or shut? I can never be sure. In some ways they look shut, but in others open....just showing light, like from other depictions of him.
I wonder if tge alderi could use the world spirit stones to combine them with the emperor to basically super charge his throne and his power if they wanted to work with humanity to cut of slaanesh
The ork gods are probably the most powerful of the warp powers because they're pure destruction, then the Emperor is in real space and the warp at the same time. Different level, different game.
I am not so sure that the Emperor is a more powerful Psyker than the strongest of the Great Old Ones. From everything we know, it was the Great Old Ones that created the younger races, and that means the origin stories we have for the Emperor imply the Great Old Ones technically created him. So while we don't know for sure, it is entirely possible that the strongest of the Great Old Ones were stronger than Emps.
The Aeldari make the assumption that he is but one powerful being, where instead he is the psychic manifestation of hundreds of powerful Psychic Shamans, who bound their essence into the creation of the master of mankind, which fully explains how he could be as powerful as he is, even when bound to the golden throne.😊😊😊
@@crashingatom6755 Yes and no. While it is no longer the “canon” creation of the Emperor, it is still possibly the one. It’s sort of left up to each person how they think the Emperor came to be. Born a mutant human being that was immortal, who gained power over the millennia? A simple Perpetual that was empowered during the Dark Age? An instrument - or even an actual entity - of the Old Ones? All of these have evidence that can be used to support them, and evidence that could be used to contradict them. I personally prefer the shaman creation theory because it gives a better explanation to why the Emperor is rather uncaring of individual humans, even the Primarchs at times, yet fanatically to the point of absurdity dedicated to the preservation of humanity as a whole. Furthermore it gives some explanation to why the Emperor, out of all the entities and gods that oppose Chaos, is the only one that they call the Anathema. The Emperor isn’t just their enemy, he is their antimatter to their matter. The Ruinous Powers didn’t fear the Aeldari gods, but they instinctually fear the Emperor. Lastly, the theory explains the multiple personalities the Emperor displays, such as to Guilliman. The Emperor is more like a Gestalt consciousness created by all these shaman becoming one entity, yet their individual perceptions and beliefs break through at times. That’s why Guilliman heard a bunch of titles and names, because one personality sees him as a traitor for not being there when the Emperor was wounded, yet another views him as a son above all else, another, a tool, another, the last hope, etc. In the end, there is no canonical answer. And there very likely never will be.
I never liked the ancient shamans idea or thought it made any real sense. Combining a few hundred psykers into one being doesn't create power on the order of magnitude of the Emperor. They would all have needed to be immensely powerful individually, and there is no explanation offered as to why that would be the case. Canon doesn't really exist in 40k, it is all made up of accounts from unreliable narrators, so I see no real reason to take the idea seriously - unless it appeals to you of course, I mean what makes the lore great is that it is left open enough for people to impose their own interpretations on it.
@@samhunter1205+ I'm inclined to disagree with the part that it doesn't make sense. For one thing, we've seen many times rhat combining psychic energy from multiple beings working in concert always creates a power exponentially greater than the sum of it's parts. The Grey Knights for example use this tactic all the time and in fact, it was the very method which they used to banish Angron on Armageddon when individually, they were all just fodder. Even as far back as the War in Heaven, the Aeldari used to pool their energies into summoning and actually maninfesting psychic constructs and even their own Gods onto the battlfield to fight beside them. Imagine a Kabal of Chaos Sorcerers combining their power and summoning fucking TZEENTCH onto the battlefield. Yeah. Let that sink in. To be fair, WiH era Aeldari were STUPIDLY powerful compared to anything around today (M41/42) but still, the concept is there. Also, the Warp was not like it is today and could be used a lot more freely and with more abandon than it can be these days without horrible side-effects but that acrually brings me to my next point. The Shamans of the time would have already been pretty powerful as far as mortal human psykers go. As I mentioned, the Warp at the time was more freely usable than it is now as it was only in direct response to the fact Shamans were BEGINNING to have their souls eaten before they could reincarnate that caused them to merge in the first place. Also, don't forget that the Emperor wasn't nearly as powerful as he ended up to begin with. He spent MILLENIA collecting knowledge and power for himself and even then, he was far from all-powerful. He deliberately hid during the Dark Age of Technology because he knew full well that of he emerged then and tried anything, the humans of the time could and would just kill him and go about their day. It would use been that casual. We also know that he gained a MASSIVE power boost on Molech that made him into the comparatively Godlike being we saw during the Great Crusade. Yet even then, we know that he was still nothing compared to the Chaos Gods directly - he just knew how to leverage his advantages (and their disadvantages) against them and did so with great skill. Canon DOES exist, it's just that a lot of the time, certain details of events are left up to personal preference or interpretation and deliberately given multiple explanations from different sources to allow for people to apply the lore flexibly and get a more personalised experience out of it. However, in other cases, there is absolutely indisputable Canon that absolutely is just that: Canon. For example, the Fall of Cadia and subsequent opening of the Great Rift are 2 examples of definitely canon events that happend with one directly causing the other in a very obvious, explicit and undeniably inarguably way.

I always liked another idea that big e could be the last great old one perhaps the one that created the human race a rival faction to the one that created the other races. So thats why he feels so much obligation to humans and hides among them.
I'm assuming they're doing a scouring serious next, after that they need to redo the beast. There's just too many questionable lore moments in the series. Custodes getting cut down like crazy by Harley Quinn, or how the Harley Quinn even got into the palace, or later on when you realize that THE beast was actually six differnt orks. The fact that Vulcan was willing to sacrifice himself to stop the first Beast, but then his perpetual ass ignores the rest of the war.
Not sure if the Harlequins killing Custodes is that unbelievable, they are supposed to be far superior to Aspect Warriors in the lore and make use of psychic powers and technology the Custodes don't have much natural defence against without Silent Sisters around. Not saying a Harlequin is a match for a Custodian 1v1 of course, but I am assuming they were ganging up when killing Custodians.
Harlequins vary drastically in power though. Remember Solitares are legitimately Primarch tier warriors (although they ARE a cut above the rest) and the fact that most of the tech Harlequins use does shit like ignore durability or make them intangible kinda makes them some of the best counters to purely physical fighters (which the Custodes are). Also they are psykers and without the Sisters of Silence backing them up, the Custodes have no defence against psychic attacks. The "getting into the palace" part is explained well enough I thought. They managed to forcefully tear open a tiny slit between the Webway and Terra which is unstable as hell, can only be very briefly held ope amd costs rhe lives ofultiple Eldar just to accomplish that for a few short moments. What is the point of confusion here? I admit the 6 Beasts thing was a bit of an arse-pull and kinda weird but the Vulcan thing could be explained in any number of ways considering he was caught in an explosion of pure Waaagh! energy - which is specifically infamous for causing all kinds of weird shit to happen.
While I'm inclined to see a rewrite of _The Beast Arises,_ that scene where the Harlequins feel the presence of the Emperor and are scared was golden. 😎

Deep down, subconciously, the Imperium knows.

The eldar group in question could be free from she who thirsts and could live without following a path like craftworld eldar to save themselves while also not requiring the torture techniques the drukari use to save themselves.

@@DakkaDakka12human eldar unessesary artificial beef.

This makes me wonder if Magnus felt the Emperor when he was on Luna and if so, what happened internally

‘Enough. You will be silent, or I will unmake you, here and now.’
Horus’ windpipe closed with a sickly crackle. His right eye bloomed red as a blood vessel burst in the sclera.

Alpharius took an uncertain step back. ‘Stop, Lord Regent. Stop. You will kill him.’

You can find it in the story called The Last Council
Honestly i still really like the theory that the Emperor found a way to bind one's own image in the warp to the material soul. That that is how the Primarchs were created, and that that is what the Emperor is slowly phasing out of.
That his soul carries such an astronomical weight in the warp that his body can't bear it, literally burning away at the near-immaterial level, the only thing keeping him 'alive' and from truly ascending to the warp being the Golden Throne. Once the counterbalance of the body drops, the spirit will know freedom. And for the first time in forever, the Gods of Ruin *_fear._*

Remember that Ork intelligence and capabilities (any and all capabilities both physical and mental) collectively sky-rocket once the Waaagh! grows enough.
This makes the emperor practically impossible to deal with for the forces of the immaterium, because his soul always has a place to return to (that's not in the warp) thanks to his ties to mortality :
The only way for the four gods to kill the emperor for good would be to destroy his very soul, something they can't do while he's alive, as he's too strong for them, but because he has strong ties to the material realm...

The ork gods are probably the most powerful of the warp powers because they're pure destruction, then the Emperor is in real space and the warp at the same time. Different level, different game.
The real goals of the Aeldari with regard to the Emperor are to keep him from becoming another Chaos god and to get him to reconsider his xenophobia.
Fully convinced that the old ones created the Emperor as a tool to drain the warp of energy if it ever became too unstable.
Didn’t they retcon that lore? I don’t think it’s official anymore.
@@samhunter1205+
I'm inclined to disagree with the part that it doesn't make sense.

If Guilliman were to ever try to introduce his girlfriend to his dad she'd probably just have a brain aneurysm on the spot
The eldar are really just freiza race
In short:
Yeah lets not.
The one race in the galaxy that's actually perceptive needed a second to evaluate Emperor's presence right after they jumped directly into middle of the Palace without any time to adapt? Get over it mon-keigh! 😂 A good lore to listen though - thanks!

Silly space elfs finally understand what *The Indomitable Human Spirit* looks like.
Ever wondered what would happen if a human had the psychic power to use a Throne of Khaine to manifest a human "god"? Now what happens when that human "god" sits on the throne of Khaine and uses his psychic might to manifest...himself?
Eldar.

Its Valrak Week! Wooooo!!!
Valrak week????? Wtf!!
I thought Valrak was secretly Iron Warriors, what with the resemblance...
I'd take listening to Rho 365 days a year over Valrak
The emperor is not a human in origin .
bwaahhhh! words. are my deeds.

Hot damn. That escalated quickly... but also holy shit, you're right. They would already be so much more physically sturdy than regular mortals, their longevity while participating in the project would be insane compared to mortals.
Theyre already here. They made the emepror a evil warp based entity
1.25 speed sounds normal, as if that's what he originally records and then he speeds it up .25 before posting.
You repeat yourself a lot, like whole paragraphs and that makes it hard for me to listen to your videos.
