    ▬ A NOTE ON USING LED LIGHTS AS HALOGEN BULB REPLACEMENTS ▬
    Aim your headlights AT LEAST once a year and ALWAYS after replacing the bulbs.
    If the cutoff is bad or you can’t aim them accurately or the light output scatters, it is NOT safe to use. Try a different style of LED or one with a lower output that will be more compatible with your light housing. See my other videos for more reviews.
    When I use the word “headlights”, I am referring to legal off-road use or fog light use only as replacing factory halogen bulbs with LEDs for headlights in the US is not currently legal nor a DOT approved practice. Thanks for your reviews and tests! I've been running these for about 3 months now and can honestly say that i am happy with them perfect brightness for my vehicle while not putting a dent in my wallet, i have wondered how much brighter or noticeable the diamond f9 would be but at almost twice the price i cant seem to pull the trigger on them, maybe on day. Also if you could do some reviews and tests for HIDs that would be pretty cool !

    I'd like to see a light output decay curve. The 27-minute test is great for low beam, but you generally don't leave high beam on for 27 minutes straight. Seeing the decrease in light output versus time would be a useful result for high beam. Also, the recovery speed of the light is useful for high beam i.e. if you turn it off for 30 seconds, then turn it on again-say, when a car has gone past-what is the increase in light output after 30 seconds of cooling? A decay graph that shows three minutes on, then 30 seconds off, repeating until 27 minutes, would be great.

    Good price, good warranty, although I don't think it will last two years considering the high temperature on its core., I thought that, given two years warranty will be related to a lover output voltage from the driver. Apparently not.

    So what’s the driver do and do these send error codes and do the flicker

    • @CarLightReviews
      @CarLightReviews  10 месяцев назад

      The driver's job is to supply the correct amount of power to the LED diodes. No, it doesn't send error codes. That is a result of your vehicle not liking the light you have installed. Errors are caused by the vehicle detecting power differences between what your car emits, and what the LED bulb requires to run.

      NAOEVO is an industry that has 17 years of experience in lighting and there are many suppliers that sell their products such as BOSLLA or ILLUME in Mexico to name a few and I have seen reviews of their products that are of very good quality. Even you made one of the BOSLLA products not long ago, the 70w SPYDER version that is actually manufactured by NAOEVO and it seemed like a very good product to me. There is another version that also sells BOSLLA with 90w per bulb that is also manufactured by NAOEVO in its MR EAGLE or MR BULL versions and that is why I would like you to do a test to see how efficient they are. In fact, I bought the LUXSTER watching your video and I was very satisfied. Greetings.

    When LED lights have an external driver, do you mount the driver outside of the headlight or inside the headlight housing? I am curious because of the heatbuildup.
    Some LED lights can be turned/switched. Do you test the lights with the led's to the sides or up and down?
    one other question. If the hotspot is really close to the cutoff, is that a higher chance of getting glare/bleeding for upcoming traffic? Love the channel!!

    • @CarLightReviews
      @CarLightReviews  7 месяцев назад

      If the headlight has a dust cap, you must mount them inside the assembly/dust cap. Do not modify the dust cap unless you really know what you're doing, and can be confident that you've sealed it up watertight. Otherwise, you will get moisture and crud in your headlight assembly.
      Typically, heat is not an issue. Here's something for you to think about... ruclips.net/user/shortsH8VP762ApdA. See how hot a halogen light gets? MUCH hotter than the main unit and the driver of any LED replacement...put together.
      The closer the cut off is to the hotspot, the more the light will project on the road, and when your headlight is aimed properly, the less chance there is of glare for oncoming traffic.

This video is only for informational purposes for using LED lights legally. Check your local laws and regulations.
