@@CarLightReviews HeadlightRevolution has videos claiming to show that the GTR Ultra II, a not particularly bright light, is as bright as a 55 watt HID. However, I trust LightWerkz more and he states that 55 watt HID projectors (with the G5-BRT being the brightest overall among them) are still significantly brighter than any LED projector, with the NHK IV+ & V being the brightest of those.

I used to buy amazon bulbs, bought my first morimoto pair about a year ago, never gping back, brightness stays the same ALWAYS, when testing light output seems to be less, but that is because there is less of a hotspot and more light in general, they are much better overall, beam pattern is always close to perfect no matter what. The cooling system is just ideal, they heat up the enclosure a little bit, that makes snow melt (not as fast as halogen or HID), the color temperature is an almost perfect pure white... I would say, just spend the extra 100-150bucks and be happy

Very excited to see this! Can you help with a recommendation? I am looking for a bulb to use as in a reflector style high-beam. I’ve been debating between the Hikari Titanova 2023 and the Novsight N60. The new n60 is obviously much brighter, has a slightly better pattern in reflectors, but also runs hotter and has a greater drop off in intensity. I think the extra heat should be manageable, but I have a couple of concerns keeping me from getting the Novsight that are not addressed in your chart or video:
How is the build quality of the Novsight in comparison to the Titanova? I know Hikari makes decently solid bulbs, but it’s difficult to tell from the video how the Novsight compares.
In reality, are the ultra-bright bulbs like the Novsight too bright to flick between high beams and low beams and retain your sight at night? Like is the difference between the brightness of the high-beams and low-beams too much to the point of it making it difficult to see using the low-beams after turning the high beams off? My low beams are 35watt xenon projectors.
Would it make more sense to wait for the next generation of Hikari lights to see if they outshine the Titanovas?
And lastly what would you choose for yourself in your daily driver?

If u want the most reliable led bulbs and very low temperature.
For both low and high beams.
I’d recommend Lasfit - LA plus. Both makes 30 watts per bulb, 3000 lumens per bulb, and 6000k pure white.
I want car light reviews to have better results than what they claim.
But we have bulbfacts covered that
The real results is 28.7 watts per bulb, 3700 lumens per bulb or over 800+ maximum lux at 25 feet. The kelvin color is actually 5950. And the temperature is up to 96 degrees Fahrenheit.
Super cool temperature while it perform extremely well.
I’d recommend those for both low and high beams.

This issue may not be with the replacement LED, but with your vehicle. Some vehicles (including Jeep/Chrysler/Dodge) do not like LED upgrades and need a CANBUS decoder. In these situations, I always suggest that you consult your favorite social media group or message board specific to your vehicle.

Was wondering if you could get a few more OEM projectors from a couple of different vehicle makes. My understanding is that projectors vary from brand to brand and this could be why people have different experiences. Of the 15 different brands I've tried on my 2015 Jeep Grand Cherokee (and the stock projectors suck), I have discovered that brightness alone is not as important as the design. My projecters seem to be more sensitive to the thickness and length of the LED light housing portion than other projectors. Shorter and thinner for my projectors seem to throw light further down the road.

Then, take a look at my spreadsheet at carlightreviews.com/headlightspecs and review/compare the data based on the two categories you chose. Also pay attention to the temperature readings. If there isn't one for the driver, that means it is the all-on-one ORM halogen size/style. Finally, do not buy a fanless version. They do not perform well at all. There's a reason all of the major names have a fan somewhere in the unit. That should help!

Yes, because your truck is equipped with a pretty sophisticated PWM system that monitors your lighting circuits. The LED's use less power than the original halogen bulbs and it senses that. As a precaution it is shutting down that circuit.
