Hi Nancy. Loved all of your stitching and beautiful quilting! You look great------retirement is definitely already agreeing with you:) Stay inside during this brutal heat wave and keep stitching!
Always love your videos, and your humor. Keep it up! Please don't call your errors "mistakes", they are called "Nancy's added touches" !!! I can tell you have joined those of us who are retired, you have a big smile and you find your STASH that you have grown over the years. Please don't be in a hurry to part with your stash, as retirement funds don't reach as far as pay checks did. Take care and keep stitching. Love the quilts also.
Hi Nancy loved your quilt blocks, quilts, and all cross stitch,Halloween, also you are looking so well and more Happy in yourself, retirement is great, have a good week Thankyou for sharing 🪡❤️🇳🇿
Good morning, Nancy! I just found your channel and I thoroughly enjoyed every minute of it. Congratulations on your retirement. I am a retired elementary teacher - 14 yrs. now - and I think it would have been a blast to be on staff with you. I love your sense of humor. I have a love of history and always told my kiddos that history is a really great story because it happened. I'm looking forward to watching more. Keep up the good work.
Hi Nancy, glad to see you are recovering well from your knee surgery. In the opening there was a picture of your grandson. I live near Broadcreek Boyscout campground. My boys were all boyscouts and we have lots of good memories from there. I am a big Peanuts fan as well and love the Halloween bag. Try to keep cool! Oh, I am a quilter as well and I love your blocks!!!❤
I agree! You look great! You have made some wonderful progress on your large projects! And a fully finished project! It looks perfect. I like history too! Now that I’m retired it’s great to have some time.
Another great video Nancy! You have a smile a mile wide ... retirement looks good on you! 😊 Your quilts are beautiful as well as your WIPs. I've been stitching on both Christmas in July as well as Patriotic this month. Looking forward to cooler weather & switching over to stitching Halloween & other Fall projects next month! Have a great week & happy stitching!
Great finish on Freedom Rings! Your quilt projects are so nice. The best part of the video for me was seeing you looking rested, relaxed and happy. Retirement looks wonderful on you!!!!
I’m not a quilter-I made two back in the day but don’t like cutting all the fabric-however, I love them. My bestie is an excellent quilter, who gets paid to quilt other people’s quilt tops and has made me a few. I absolutely love them and I have no patience for making them. However, I love seeing them. Thanks so much for sharing yours. I am still stuck on the first block of Shores. The rocks and ocean have not gone well so I kinda stopped to stitch patriotic and beach. I’m happy your knee is healing enough so you can drive again and that you are enjoying retirement. I started my ninth year of retirement and love it. Now on to watching your WIP parade video.
Those quilts are amazing - can’t wait to see the finishes. Your Freedom Rings is beautiful! That Halloween bag is so cute. Glad to see you! Take care❤❤
Always wait for your videos. Your finish is Great. I just got back to Ohio from Arizona. So ooo hot. Fun visit with my family. Got to see my two great great grandchildren. Have fun stitching.
Hi Nancy! So much beautiful quilting and stitching in this video!! Thank you for showing all of the beautiful projects you are working on! Your quilts are beautiful!! You look so happy and relaxed since you are now retired! I just love your cat, and enjoy seeing her (?) on your IG posts! Hope to see you someday in person, perhaps at the Midsummer Stitching virtual retreat??
Congratulations on your retirement! I love the quilts you have finished and that you are working on. You have shown lots of cross stitch patterns I have never seen. Halloween will be here before we know it! ❤️✂️🪡🧵
Well Nancy…since retiring I have tried to get to the sewing machine more. That means going through my closets of fabric. I have a lot of fabric…wow. I might be cutting up my fabric into logical smaller cuts right next to you. I am so glad you can drive again. Take care.🦉🧵🪡🔆
Congrats on your retirement!!! Oh my that Heaven and Earth design is a doozy! But it will be stunning once done. Your pillow turned out very nice. It is a nice patriotic piece. The Halloween Peanuts bag is so cute. Stay safe in this heat.
Congratulations on your fully finished pillow! Well done! I also admire your applique by machine -- I confess, I've done it, and also by hand, but it's not my jam. I'm a *piecer* and love Bonnie Hunter too -- as she continues to help me use up my scraps. (They breed in the night, doncha know?!) I'm also fond of samplers, and have a couple of big ones on my plate. My fave designers are Jeannette Douglas (I used to work for her in her office when Iived down in Calgary where she is). I"m also fond of Jacob of Modern Folk Embroidery -- his geometrics and Quaker designs get me every time. As for an LNS -- I'm 2+ hours' drive north of Traditional Stitches, but I love that shop -- and they have a great online store. And I've also treated myself to some of Evertote/Roxy Floss linens and flosses. I prefer to buy Canadian, of course, as the CAD/USD exchange rate is 30% or so -- and not in my favour here in Alberta!
Love your patriotic finish! I recently worked on patriotic, then moved to a fall piece when I really needed to be doing a Christmas stitch. I don't have Halloween on my radar yet but I'm sure I will soon. I guess you could say I'm all over the place. Oh well. Thank you for sharing your work.
I love your idea for the project bags! Nubbies is definitely a proper term! I love the blue fabric on your FFO! I want to the halloween Hawk Run Hollow charts someday. Breaking it down, like you said, makes it seem a lot less intimidating! Now that Heaven and Earth chart.... 😲 That's crazy huge!
So good to see you! I so enjoy your videos! I am a big Halloween lover & stitcher so the Peanuts project bag really caught my eye. Take care & give your nurse a big hug!
Wonderful to see you and your enjoying your retirement. The quilting and stitching are both beautiful. Good for you jumping into full coverage..I would never start one but I am not retired so guess never say never. Halloween in July..sounds like fun 😉 Happy Stitching 🙋♀️
As others have said, you have some beautiful projects. Just wanted to let you know that felt like poppies, with a straight pin to fasten it on your jacket, are available to purchase in Canada every year from November 1st through to the 11th. It's called Remembrance Day here, and the monies raised from poppy sales go to our Legions. When you have a chance, check out A Dutch Stitcher. She is relatively new to being back to stitching and has gone down the rabbit hole. Halloween and Peanuts go well together!
I cannot wait for HALLOWEEN!!!! I would LOVE to have a Peanuts bag! I think I might rival you as a Peanuts fan. I used them in my classroom as much as I could!!!! ❤️🙏🏼 PS. Your quilting is beautiful, as is your cross stitch. So happy to see you!!!
Your quilts are gorgeous. I also like your patriotic stitches. I’m a Canadian and it’s kinda hard to find anything along the lines of Canadian stuff. I’m in the process of collecting the floss for Halloween at Hawk Run Hallow. See you next time, until then happy stitching 🪡😊
Hi Nancy! I love your quilting blocks. You have encouraged me to start doing my own floss conversions. I mean all this floss stash is just sitting here. Michelle
Love your prairie quilt. I have the kit for that but haven’t started. Ugh. So pretty! You’re looking really great. I hope u feel good too. Wonderful stitches. ❤ Halloween
Always good to see you when your videos pop up. You look healthy, happy and rested. Amazing what the lack of knee pain and retirement can do for us. Cindy

Btw, I really like your knotty pine walls!:I don't really have a LNS. The closest is at least an hour and a half. I love going to go to a few LNS on our road trips. I don't order much because I'll just plain old spend too much money.
I haven’t started stitching any Halloween yet. But…I have purchased Shores of Hawk Run ! Eeekkkk….it will get started some day. I’m currently finishing Eggs a la Round and have started Queen of Freedom. I need to finish these big girls before I start another!
