I married in 1971 and the made that felt 12 Days of Christmas bell pull. It was the first Christmas decoration I made. In 2003 my new daughter-in-law liked it so much she used my pattern and made her own. The hanging sparkles with sequins & beads. There is a little simple embroidery but more fancier stitches could be added.
I used to have a huge stack of them and then, in one of my fits of cleaning, I went through them and saved only what I really liked. They were great though.
You're welcome! It's so fun to look back at old patterns and inspirational!!! That’s funny about our stashes being so similar. I love that cross stitch designs rarely go out of fashion. Merry Christmas to you too!
Hi! I just found your channel. It was fun to see those older designs from the 80’s and 90’s. I stitched a lot of models for Leisure Arts during that time. I still have the leaflets, magazines and books. During the earlier years the charts were hand colored with lots of backstitching. Thanks for sharing!
Wow! That’s so cool! I LOVE Leisure Arts and have kept all the issues I received. I have a secret wish that they would start For The Love of Cross Stitch again. I can’t imagine hand coloring the charts. 🤯
I have the 100 cross stitch ornaments book also. Its one of my favorite stitchy books. Its full of good stuff! Some colors are outdated but we change these things anyway dont we? I found it at a library book sale and paid a dollar. Today was my first time seeing your channel and I very much enjoyed this video. Thank you for sharing some of your older patterns and Merry Christmas!
Thank you for finding me and I’m so glad you enjoyed watching. Yes. I gave it a really good look after filming and one of my thoughts was “oh if I changed the colors”. That’s what I love about cross stitch!

That’s awesome 💗 I actually have always wanted to make it myself. And how wonderful that the design stands the test of time.
I owned so many of all those old magazines at one time. I love looking at old patterns. I made one of the Better Homes and Gardens stockings.

This was absolutely fantastic, it’s like you got into my stash! Thank you so much for refreshing my enthusiasm. Merry Christmas
