Congratulations on your finish well done👏 great stitching projects,I have just finished Long winding road by blackbird and I have never done sooooo many pin stitches in my lifetime but love the finish, like both the cards, frog always visits me🤦🏼♀️you are looking well Nancy Thankyou for sharing 🇳🇿❤🪡
I like your Peanuts folders. I do like small thread beds and I really like the elastic you used to close it. I like your larger project cards. I had a dog named Snoopy for 13 years.
My most memorable FROG experience was stitching a Paula Vaughn design that was a crazy quilt pattern and I had to FROG out about half the many color changes. I did finish the piece and my father made me a frame for it. My father has been gone 20 years and I remember him everything I look at it hanging on my wall.
Congratulations on your finish! I always stitch what I want when - when I do try to plan I never make it thru the whole month and always get distracted halfway thru. Happy Stitching!
So enjoyable to watch you, Nancy. So down to earth and honest. BTW, I'll be "borrowing" your phrase - "sew with the flow". You make me smile each and every time I watch you.
Another great video. OMG I am so excited you called my name. I sent you an email with info. Love seeing what you are working on. Super haul. Thanks for always sharing.
Always so happy when you post a new video!!! Love your Etsy shop and will definitely order some of your cards! They are exactly what I need for my FFOs. I am currently finishing a small patriotic project and have had to frog it six times already. Ugh. No fun!!!!
As another flosstuber says, "Your stitching, your rules." Stitch what makes you happy. I LOVE the Peanuts portfolio - it is the perfect size for me. I don't stitch patterns with yards of fabric and 100s of flosses. And the wide elastic is genius! Yes, those rubber thingies are for knitting needles, to keep you from poking a hole through your knitting bag (or losing a bunch of stitches). My cat Ethel (who has no tail) is a mighty hunter. She loves to present us with moles and voles, and lately has discovered how to catch a frog - I think it is the same one each time! Needless to say she does not like for us to liberate the poor creature, and continues to look for the poor frog for days after it has been returned to the yard. How has it felt since school started? My roughest days were Sundays, and that lasted for months!
Your videos are always a highlight of my day. Keep being so real, you make me feel better about myself. Hopefully you have not had a frog experience like I had last week. I had to frog an entire days worth of stitching black on black!
I very much enjoy your videos and get a laugh out of them sometimes. Because it's just things that I would do. I like the last portfolio that you made. I agree it needs to be a little bit longer and since I use a nerds hope to that would be great. I think I would like those better than the project bags. I have purchased a bag from you before and they are top-notch. I look forward to seeing your portfolios in your Etsy shop.
Love the Peanut's portfolio. I like the the outside yab to add a tag as well as the tab inside for the scissors. As a stitcher who uses floss drops on a ring, a similar tab in the middle would be great to' hook' a ring for floss drops above the pocket. What a coincidence, my middle name is frog as well! My first SAL I'm doing now, I have spent almost as much time frogging as stitching 😮
Always fun to see what you're up to. I hang my linen up on pant hangers (with the clips) or clothes pins, making sure a label is stapled to each. I hang them by count.
We have a frog that lives on our deck in the box that holds our chair cushions, often at dusk we see him hopping by our slider door, we’re assuming to hunt bugs. That kind of frog I like; the one that visits when I make mistakes, not so much. 🐸
Growing up my uncle had a two ponds with Koi fish in them. My dad use to take me and my siblings to catch frogs in a local creek. Was so much fun, playing in the water and catching a frog or two for my uncle to add to his ponds. Great memories. Happy Stitching!
I seem to frog on every project! My counting ability needs work! On your project folder I would like to see a snap on Orr container - it folds flat and tucks into a small pocket - it has a snap on the bottom and a corresponding snap in the corner of the bag - very useful - love your videos 😊😊😊
Thank you for a great video. Love the frog charm you added to your bags. Both project cards are great but I think I might prefer the little ones especially if I had one of your awesome peanut portfolios. I don't have a fabric stash so I don't know if it is better to keep it in the packaging or not. I'm glad your shop is doing so well :)
I say get done what you want! Life is short & we need to enjoy every God given moment. I’m not a thread bed person either. I like the hanger idea, and love the elastic! I actually like project bags better as I like one project per bag.
One of my memorable frog experiences is when I frogged a section twice and then realized it was stitched correctly all along. Needless to say sometimes counting is hard. 😂
A quilt is useable and a lot bigger than a cross stitch piece. So for the size does not seem as much bang for the money. I say buy a few at a time. Will not hurt as much. Love the peanut fabric. I like frogs unless I have to frog. My biggest problem seems to be the mess of knots I can make while trying to stitch.
frog. Growing up on a farm my brothers and myself would spend hours looking for frogs in our pond at the barn.. Would catch them put them in pail and later count and let them go. Love the life of living on a farm.
I like both cards. I take a 2x3 picture with my HP Sprocket and put in badge I’d and hang from zipper of bag. Makes it easy to identify the project. I could put your small card on back side in sleeve. The larger project card would be a way to track all my projects long term and put dates on that I stitched. I would like a portfolio that can fit full size pattern book. I like have 2 big slot pockets and then on one 1/2 half have small zipper pouch and other half floss bed. I use Q-Snaps so I would like to be able to put that in folio.
Your bags are just beautiful! I made a few with the zippers on backwards. They still zip but go in the opposite direction from what I prefer. I don't have any experiences with real frogs, but I definitely have to frog my stitches on occasion unfortunately. Usually I will just fudge it though.
So excited!!! I got your email and replied but wanted to comment on here too. This was such a good video, Girlfriend! I've enjoyed it so much!. I'm 67 and retired so I'm happy for you that you're retired now too though, I'm sure it feels weird. It's awesome to get to choose what to do with our time! Hope you're healing up and enjoying!
Love your thinking on the project bags..I had bought one with the thread bed and I used it but then realized it left little tuffs of fuzz on my thread so wasn't happy 😐 I try to avoid a frog but when he ribbits I tend to croak back 😂 Happy Stitching 🙋🏼♀️
3,000 YEAH 🎉🎉🎊🎊🎈🥳 so happy for you. Regarding Peanuts portfolio, consider 1-2 inches taller; where the orange fabric at top- a thread bed same width then pocket behind it for another project. That way you can take 2 projects in one bag to retreat or vacation with less clutter in carryone. So enjoy watching your videos. Ann
When I was a kid we collected tadpoles. It was interesting watch them grow legs, at that point I’m guessing we brought them back to where we got them. Was afraid, or perhaps parents were afraid the y would jump out of jar we kept them in. Congrats on 3K, so well deserved.
Hi! Great video! Once, I was at a picnic sitting on the grass with our kids, when a frog came over and jumped up my pant leg.. 😂 ever since I'm not a fan of them.
I always get a kick out of your floss tubes. I'm 72 and have just made a small start on a sampler on 56 count. I've worn glasses since I was 9 years old...If I can do it, so can you! (GRIN)
I really dislike a frog of both types. As a child I stepped on a frog and it freaked me out because I’m weird. Love your project bags and can’t wait till you have the portfolio keepers in your Etsy shop
Ah......oh....... a beautiful finish is definitely awesome. Yes I would like some of your large project cards. I would take the peanut bag, but do you make full cloth bags? My frog story is me trying to catch a frog late at night that somehow got inside ( had lots of family members in and out all evening). I almost stepped on him when I was locking everything and was ready for bed, but it took me more than 30 minutes to get the frog out because I couldn't touch him. Thank you for another great video.
I'll visit you as long as you visit me! I'm stitching AKGIT from Modern folk embroidery on 53/63! Actually find it comfortable as long as the light is good. Have started doing a lot of samplers on 46ct as I haven't got a lot of wall space and don't want to sell both kidneys to frame them. Appreciate your love of Peanuts ❤. We had a cat called Pigpen after my brother's favourite character and the sister called Lucy after my favourite. Wouldn't mind an upside down project bag as I live at the bottom of the planet 😂. Will it turn right side up? When i was a heck of a lot younger my Dad made me a frog haven from an old water tank with an island in the center ,lots of logs etc. I loved frogs (not so much any more🤬) and had quite a collection of different varieties until we had flood rain ......tank overflowed and,all bar 2 (obviously the smart ones who knew where the easy life was) , hopped away. Dad worked as a phone company linesman so we always had rescued animals , birds and lizards at home including the ubiquitous kangaroo, an echidna that never left and a Mopoke owl that also hung around.
New subscriber here you have made me lol love your sense of humour shame in uk your project bags r lovely live the set out of the snoopy portfolio with the hoop for tag x
I don't mind frothing in cross stitch or making clothes. However, try frothing a quilt top after quilting it...I was putting on binding and saw two blocks totally screwed up!!had to frog out the quilting and of course it wasn't a simple straight line it was feathers!!!I don't quilt anymore. I don't buy bags since I could make my self but if decide to make a portfolio like your experiment I want one!
My biggest frog out was about 240 stitches because , like a absent minded fool, I used the wrong colour 🤦♀️ I was so mad at myself but I got through it. Until next time, happy stitching 🪡😊
I like both of those cards to be honest with you. I keep my fabric in the plastic bag when it comes in one. I just buy mine from 123 Stitch. Love your finish. I am working on my very first sampler and it is called Berlin Swallows Sampler and I am loving it so I can see why you love samplers. The features in a portfolio that I like is to have pockets to fit my bobbins in. I only saw one person have one and she made it but she doesn't sell them. I think she had 12 pockets made with the vinyl. Happy Stitching.
I too had trouble finding your Etsy until I went to your IG and followed the link. Duh! Following your shop now. When I was young and lived in VA. When we got lots of rain, we would get lots of tadpoles and I would collect them. Well, as they turned into a frog, one time they got out and we had a bunch of frogs in our basement. My mom was not happy at all!
I would love your upside down bag. FROG!! I am very close with my seam ripper. I stitched an entire section and had to frog it!! So bummed, but it had to be done. This has happened a few times, lol.
One evening, I told my son since the croaking was loud, you’d think the frog was inside. The next morning, while drinking my coffee, the frog hopped along the wall!! How that got inside, we will never know! I had to frog this past week one over one….that was not fun!
I work as a nurse in a nursing home. The other day I found a frog in one of my residents toilets. We are in the middle of a drought it must have been desperate for water
I'd get 2 skeins on the K. Barrick (Swirl) for the Greens even with using 1 strand. If I have a large chart and it has 8 skeins or less of Silks, then I will get them otherwise I will substitute. For me it is the Cost factor. Fabric direction gets me too. The worst frog recently has been to rip out something that didn't need frogging. I've been stitching for decades, when will my frogging end?!?
I finally found you on Etsy! I looked at so many bags trying to find you. LOL Is there a trick to finding a shop on Etsy? I finally typed your handle in Safari and it took me to your Etsy shop. Well, we are supposed to take fabric out of plastic. And I have to say, the fabric I had stored in plastic from way back in the ‘80’s does have a funky smell. I do try to leave the top of the bag open so it can breathe now. I have never been fond of frogs since my brother threw one down my jean shorts when I was 8, 9, or 10 years old. I could not get it out. We were in company so I couldn’t just drop the shorts. I raised quite a ruckus. However, I do like to eat frog legs. My dad used to hunt for big bullfrogs and my mom would fry them up similar to chicken. She soaked them in something so they didn’t really have a fishy flavor. And I like both your large and small project cards. I think the small ones would go really good in one of those name tag plastic holders and I like the back of your large project card because I think you had like the times you worked on the project on the back and I think that’s pretty cool. Happy stitching!
I do have a frog story just today, I am doing the Hometown stitch a long with Teresa Kogut on Patron and I have two different dye lots of DMC 926 so I thought stitching random with both would give the house variegated look yes it is but stitching both at one time is a mess.....haha! I seen someone do that on flosstube but do not remember who. Stitch Brat on Flosstube is new and Sincity_crossstitcher is new as well love them both.
Thank you for your wonderful videos. I really like the portfolio and the peanuts fabric. I'm a very big fan of the peanuts gang. I don't like frogs especially after 10 th grade biology and dissecting one. I like either the large or small project cards. How about doing both?
First and foremost, your finish is beautiful! Congrats! Now, I have a non-cross stitch question … what do you do to your complexion to keep it looking so porcelain-like? Your skin is lovely! Sorry to get so personal.
Hi! I like your project cards. What exactly is on the back? Beautiful work on your cross stitch projects. Love your project bags too. Tell me about it!! I am like you in that I can’t get myself to spring for all the silks many times. Did you see on UTube that the frog even visited Jean from the attic? I think he sits in the corner of my living room ready to jump on me anytime I least expect it like late last night. Drat!
The portfolio is coming along nicely - love the elastic and the big pocket and of course I love all things Peanuts!
Thanks for the visit today! Re: the floss versus fabric, it's funny what our hangups will be. I haven't tried stitching with silks yet. Paying for fabrics makes me pause for some odd reason. I'm pretty comfortable dyeing fabric, though. ...

I would be interested in the project cards.
Drat!
@@sharonbeck-hl7cf the back has a place to write down your flosses and make any notes about the project
@@disorderlystitcher Thank you Nancy. These cards are right up my alley.
Great video Nancy. Frog. I am not a fan of frogs.
