I am in total agreement with Cathy Bartz, you look like a massive load has been lifted off you. You look so calm, relaxed, peaceful and just truly awesome. The use of your phone for video is amazingly clear! Congratulations on the retirement and thank you for that being your career choice to educate our future adults. Much hugs. 1.
You look so relaxed and stress-free! That is great!! I am so happy surgery went well! It looks like you did get a lot of stitching done! Happy stitching!
Nancy, lovely video & beautiful stitching ❣️ As a retired RN who spent much of my career in the OR so very happy to hear your surgery & progress are going well, I too have had a Partial total knee replacement and have loved it! Wishing for you much contentment on recovery & retirement a lot of changes hugs from a stitching friend in MN 🤗♥️ stitch happy…
So happy to see you! Glad to hear your knee is healing well! I’m from NE and spent many a day on the beach. Now I just love to sit and watch the waves. Of course I have been up and down the east coast. Beautiful! Beautiful stitching! Love the lighthouse! Got to love that red!! Congratulations on your upcoming retirement! You’re the best.
So glad you are doing so well. Keep up the good work with physical therapy because it will get you where you want to be. Great to see you back sharing your beautiful cross stitch! I hope you are able to say goodbye to your kiddos and attend your retirement luncheon. Congratulations on a job well done!
Nancy, you’re looking great after your surgery. Congratulations on your retirement! I’ve been retired from middle school for 7 years. I’ve been keeping busy, but I do miss the kids and my colleagues. What you won’t miss are goals, budgets, and behavior issues. 😵💫 Keep feeling better!
I played Miss Mary Mac all the time and I would love to stitch that. The memories that just came to mind when you showed that chart made me smile thinking about my friends I use to play this with. Thank you for bringing them memories back 😊
Congratulations Nancy on your official retirement! It is great to see a new video from you, and update on how you are doing with your new knee! Your stitching looks fantastic! I especially like Shores of HRH! Keep up the recovery and PT on your knee! I had to laugh when you said all I do is sit here and stitch and after a while I get a bit bored! I sometimes feel that way, and in fact have found that I sometimes fall asleep trying to stab and poke a stitch into my fabric! That’s when I know it is time to walk away for a while! So happy that you are doing so well with your knee, and keep it going!
Hi Nancy, I am so glad your surgery was a success. I wasn't worried. I wanted to tell this before hand but thought better. Knee surgery is considered the most painful surgery. (as told to me by 2 orthopedic surgeons) Not because of the surgery, but because of the physical therapy. I've had both knees done and just had my second hip done last week. I think you have gotten quite a bit of stitching done. I think your choice to make those three flowers the same color is genius. Happy Stitching and Healing. ❤❤❤
I'm glad to see your back and on the road to recovery!!! I like wherever you do your videos, this background was nice! By the way, you are looking so relaxed and fabulous!!!
Hi Nancy .. catching up on Floss Tubes while I was in IL visiting family a couple weeks ago. My niece graduated from 8th Grade so had to go up for it. Glad to hear that you're healing well from surgery & that your purr-snickety nurse has been taking good care of you! Love seeing the progress on you HRH. Have a great week! 😊
I couldn’t wait to watch/listen… so I have you on while I’m in the office. I also watched the @comfortstitcher. Loved her! And much love for you to have a quick recovery. Congrats 🎉 on retirement. 💕🧵
I’m glad you are doing so well and are back to share all your stitchy pieces. The rocks under the lighthouse are driving me crazy. I have not started the water yet. I do love stitching that piece though. I majored in history in college with an emphasis on early American history. When I visited Delaware and stood in the area where the Revolutionary War was fought, it was amazing and meant a lot to me. I loved visiting the historical areas that my friend took me to. I live in Southern CA which has its own interesting history, yet I don’t connect to that at all. I’ve been to several missions but I don’t have that feeling like I did when I visited the east coast. I hope your knee continues to heal. You are right, we don’t appreciate what we have until we don’t have it. 1,2
Glad you are getting to stitch when you want. Once again, a great Flosstube of fun stitches! I’m glad you are doing so well. Many happy wishes on your retirement!!!
I’m so glad I caught your flosstube tonight! You are looking great! Glad you got your knee done so that’s behind you & you can enjoy your retirement. I’m having my right knee done in the fall. If you get a chance to visit Springfield, IL & everything Lincoln do it. I’m a huge Lincoln fan & have been to Springfield several times to see his home but my favorite is the museum, it’s a must see. Keep up the great flosstubes! 1,2
Nancy, you look great!! Keep up with the exercises, painful yes but worth it in the long run. Return your keys in July- just in case you forget something.😁 your stitching is beautiful. Who cares if the middle flower should be different. When its hanging on your wall all anyone will notice is your Beautiful stitching! Just attended the 50th anniversary of graduating from nursing school. Several of my classmates have had one or two knee replacements. They told me the new knees were worth the pain of rehab. Happy Stitching from South Carolina, Ann
So glad your surgery went well. I hope you enjoy retirement as much as I have for the past year and a half. I’m with you on a beach vacation. I’d rather sit on a deck with my stitching and a drink and watch everyone else play in the sand. Take care!
Hi Nancy good to see you, great that your surgery went well, stitching projects coming along nicely, enjoy your luncheon at school, take care of you Thankyou for sharing 🇳🇿❤️🪡
Your Ann Uffindell is beautiful, I think the flowers the same color looks really good. I’m a new listener and subscriber to your channel, enjoyed your Flosstube very much. I am a quilter as well as a cross stitcher, both since the late 1980’s. I heard about you from Chris and Jane, The Bostitchers. Looking forward to many more videos in the future! Good luck on a speedy knee recovery! Enjoy retirement!
I’m sitting here enjoying your FlossTube. I’m glad to hear you are doing well after knee replacement surgery. I’m having hip replacement on Monday. I enjoy your content and the history lessons. You have made me want to stitch all those state stitches. I think they could be a teaching tool for my great grandchildren.
Hi Nancy. It was my mother Nancy Rickenbrode who sent you Mary Mack so I thought I would say hello. She stitched it so fast and loved doing it. She personalized it for me too. I am turning it into a project bag now. I loved that I was able to get my mother hooked on stitching later in life. She does great. She is always saying you are her favorite flosstuber. Glad your knee surgery went well! Greetings from The Netherlands 🧵
So glad to see you. Hang in there a knee replacement takes awhile to heal. My husband has both of his done and he is 60. Best thing he did he keeps,up with our 3 and 1 year old grandkids
I'm so glad to hear you are doing so well. I hear ya,when I was recovering from both knees and had a lot of time to stitch day after day,I tired of it to,as could do nothing else. Enjoyed. Thank you 😊
Hi Nancy. So glad to see you back and to hear that your recovery is going well! I can relate to everything that you are going through especially the sleeping in a recliner. Finally getting to sleep in my bed , which took awhile, was the best night sleep! Hope all continues to go well and before you know it, you will be out and about:) Happy stitching and I hope that you are able to get to school on Friday and celebrate your retirement!
You look fantastic! So glad to see you up and about. That cardinal is so cute!! I did not make the sets but will send you the information on who did. Happy Stitching! Hugs and love for more healing ❤❤
Congrats on your TKR and retirement! I'm happy to hear it's all good with you. I appreciated your comments about what we take for granted like standing in the shower finally. It's the darn truth! I'm a year out from my TKR and it's almost time for the other one. I know what to do the next time. 😅 Nice to see you, best wishes for good healing.❤
Hi Nancy I sent you a Friend Request on Instagram. Love all of your WIPS - Very Pretty. I am glad that you had your Knee Surgery and that your Recovery is going well for you. It’s a slow healing process for sure. Enjoy your Stitching. I love what you said at the end of your Video. Take Care & Happy Stitching ❤️🤗🙏🧵🪡🧵✂️🐾🐱🐾❤️
So glad you are doing well. I had the left knee done on the 21st. Nothing like not being able to do things for yourself. They gave me oxycodone as well for the pain. And yes it knocks me out - which is why I pretty much only take it at bedtime. I hope to get some stitching done before I go back to work in two weeks. I need to catch up on the Shores Sal - I am woefully behind. Great job on getting your pulls done. And you have a good start for June too. Always good to be a little ahead of the game.
Hi Nancy. Glad your surgery is behind you now. You look great. Happy! I am going in for a reverse shoulder replacement at the end of June. Meanwhile, my husband fell and fractured his hip! He had it operated on and now is in rehab. What a month!
I know how you feel. The things we take for granted. Jan. 2023 left knee and Jan. 2024 right knee. Getting back to my sewing routine. I can't take oxi, all I use was rapid release tylenol caps. Wishing you a speedy recovery!!!!
I had my right knee replaced 14 years ago. When I practiced at home, I had no trouble straightening my knee. When I went for my first Dr. visit it didn't go all the way flat! When I got home I realized I had on my tennis shoes, and for whatever reason, it kept my knee from going totally straight. So, when you go to therapy, take your shoes off! You look great!
So glad to see that your recovery is going well! I think the middle flower snafu looks nice that way.. Once the top and bottom are both stitched that way, I think it will look great.
Thank you, Nancy. You kind of a lit a fire under my heiney and I got my knees checked (I have a chronic knee condition already) Well, I have osteoarthritis (?) in both knees but I am doing PT and cycling and it's much better. I am also going hard to shed excess weight. Also, love your cat(s.) My cat is my best friend. :) 1 2
I don’t know if it is the change of location, having the surgery behind you or your retirement but you look fabulous. Your face is so much more relaxed. Glad the surgery was successful and happy retirement!! Started my retirement 3 years ago and it is fabulous.
Hi Nancy, So glad you are back! Happy Retirement! So glad that you are looking rested and that you can move your knee that much. That is awesome! You must be a good patient. I did not like the Oxycodone either as it made me feel like someone had thumped me on the head. Your stitching looks great and just glad that you got your stitching mojo back. If you like reading and haven't read "Redbird Christmas" by Fannie Flagg I think you would really love it. I read when I have stitched too much and need a break. Let me know what you think about it. Question: are you going to Stitch Con? Happy Stitching, friend! Dottie
1 2 Now that I know Delaware was first, I can impress my husband that I know that because of cross stitch (if it ever comes up on Jeopardy, or if I figure out a way to slip it into casual conversation 😂)
So happy to see you back and doing quite well. Been thinking about you and wondering how your surgery went. I may be a candidate for the same but I’m much older than you and am concerned. I feel like we are friends.

It's nice to see you looking so refreshed and perky, Nancy! Hooray for successful surgery and rehab . . . and stitching, too. Thanks for popping by!
If you get to Springfield, IL make sure you also go to the Lincoln Museum. It is very informative and interesting.

It is great to see you back and doing well after your surgery. Congratulations on your retirement. Thanks! Janine

Delaware has the blue hens.

Take it one day at a time. I am not a patient patient so it has been difficult holding myself back
I have some of the Thread Milk state charts. I have looked and looked and can’t find some of the charts. I’m pretty upset with myself.
