Hi Nancy! You are such a joy to watch! Your HRH projects are all coming along nicely! I am glad that you are finally getting your knee replacement done, but sorry that you aren’t able to finish out the school year with your students! Great haul, and I am so glad that you had such a nice time at the Steel City retreat!
Good news about your surgery, the retreat sounded great,I am off to a stitchy retreat in August here in Wellington NZ can’t wait, great stitching projects, have a good week Thankyou for sharing 🇳🇿❤️🪡
Nancy - I enjoy your videos so much - I have been stitching longer than most of the floss-tubers have been living (maybe that includes you!) Good luck with your knees; I was a physical therapist, graduate of U of Pittsburgh in 1968!! I will say if you do the exercises and a lot of walking you will progress well - aim for a proper heel-to-toe gait, and a 90 degree bend which will for sure help you get up/down from the chair. Praying for you.
I'm glad to hear your retreat seemed to go better than last year. Good luck with your knee replacement. It was life changing for my Dad. Your Indigo Lane is stunning! Good luck cracking out a finish on that as well.
Wonderful your surgery is going to be over with. Sounds like fun at the retreat. I love that fold over bag you made. Looks like you have your stitching all lined up ready to go. Happy your card got there.
Hi Nancy! Always a delight to see your smiling face . A iPad tip , turn its orientation to horizontal instead of vertical. We will be able to see you and your projects better. Also lower the tripod . If it is as low as it goes, try placing it on something lower than your table . Just some tips I learned along the way using my iPad to record. I’m so glad you had a great time at the retreat. I love how you explained the weather … some rain, sleet, snow , wind , sunshine and then back to rain. It sure has been an interesting spring . Enjoyed watching ! 💕🧵
I’m happy for you that you finally get to have your surgery. It was fun hearing about the retreat. That red fabric is gorgeous. I don’t know how you waited till the last minute to buy it. I bought Indigo Lane after watching Annie work on hers. Blue is my favorite color and no I haven’t started stitching it yet. I’m working on The Shores of Hawk Run Hollow. I joined your SAL and I love stitching it. I’m stitching it on 20 count which I haven’t done before and I keep forgetting to use one thread. So…..the lighthouse is stitched with two threads. I looked at it and it looks fine. I had to tell myself something my bestie told me a long time ago and that is “you’ll never notice it on a galloping horse. I’m going with that. So then I stitched everything else in one thread until I reached the sun. The first half of the outline was in one thread and then I reverted back to two threads on the right half of the sun. Even the galloping horse couldn’t help me this time so I ripped out all that I had stitched yesterday. One last comment other than I enjoyed seeing all you had to share, my grandson loves Bluey. I think he was Bluey for Halloween last year. He has a shirt and sweatshirt. My kids are too old for Bluey but not grandson number three. My kids were Sesame Street and Mr Rogers. Have a good two weeks and good luck with your surgery.
I was too chicken to come over & say hi at the retreat. Your Peeps table is always a hit! Not jealous of the knee surgery (crossing my fingers for you) but definitely jealous of the stitching time you'll have!! What a way to kick off retirement 😉
@@disorderlystitcher Not sure yet. I'd like to but also going to Stitch New England in the fall. Will let you know if I do - maybe I'll pull up a seat at the Peep table ;)
Hi Nancy. I've been watching your Flosstube for quite a while, but have never commented. However, today is the day. I am recovering from a left knee replacement surgery and will be having the right knee replaced on June 10. I pray yours goes as well as mine has gone!! My left knee feels wonderful and am so happy that I went ahead and did this. It doesn't hurt any longer and have actually started doing some gardening with my husband. That is what we love to do every summer, and it has been sorely missed these past few years. I got to where I could hardly walk, which I'm sure you understand. So, we are going to get the garden started and the planting done...going to try to get some sowing done and sewing room cleaned 🙄, and get projects ready for the downtime for the knee surgery. I plan on doing some Christmas stitching. I have started Christmas at Holly Berry Farm, or whatever that is called. I just love it and would like to have it finished by the holidays. Anyway, just wanted to say hi, and to encourage you and even though it is surgery, it is so worth it, because we get our life back. Even though I'm 70, I still have lots I want to do😁. God bless.
Good luck on your surgery. I finally have mine scheduled for the 21st of May. Hope your surgery goes well. I am planning on doing the same thing doing some of the rehab exercises to get the muscles strengthened before surgery. I may have to break down and get Indigo Lane. It calls to me everytime I see it. The retreat sounds like it was a blast. One of these days I will make it to one.
Great to “see” you! I am glad your surgery is scheduled and will soon be behind you. I know you didn’t imagine your retirement to end so abruptly, but it’s good thing. And you have plenty to do!! lol. Keep us posted.
@@disorderlystitcher Q-snap hurts my hand too. It also hurt reaching across a hoop to reach where I was stitching. I started stitching in hand 3 days ago and I love it!
So glad you enjoyed your retreat. Your stitching is beautiful. Wishing you good luck with your surgery, I know you will be glad when it is finished.
It was so nice to meet you at the retreat. I love watching your floss tubes. Sending hugs and prayers for your surgery and a healthy recovery. ❤

Great progress on your projects! Love seeing all the pretties you are stitching!!

Hi back!!!!! I’m sorry yet I am glad I scared you in the elevator!

Do you stitch with a hoop or do you stitch in hand?
