What gauge wire are you using and what's the output of your alternator? I'm adding one of these amps to my system and it has a 130amp alternator and I'm running a 4 gauge wire with a 200A fuse. Hope it works.
@Evanseerp how'd yours work out? I'm about to do the same thing only im using true 4 awg ofc , a tru-spec 5.5 farad capacitor with the big 4 done in 1/0 ofc. Hoping for the best
@@Clare.1985 I ended up upgrading to 1/0 gauge wiring because the ends of my wiring were melting. Since upgrading I haven't had an issue. The amp slaps.
I just got mine in the mail today just have to build my box now for my vxf and I'll be good still have to save up a little more money so I can buy another vxf and do my electrical upgrades and I'll be good again

Hey man, first off, I've enjoyed many of your videos. Thank you for the content! Second, I just was curious what that device is that you're putting the speaker load into...
Thanks for the dyno! Want to add something however. Every person I talk to when I'm fixing something for them or whatever, I turn everyone! Away from so called "bass knobs" . They don't magically give you bass boost. They adjust the amps gain. And like everyone knows more gain means more distortion and in return clipping! So unless you have something like a Rockford Fosgate punch or power series that has a actual bass knob (punch EQ knob" ) They shouldn't be used at all. At least with this amp in particular you can adjust the bass boost frequency then add a very min boost if need be. If the amp doesn't have a adjustable frequency the boost should never be used either. And if you want to adjust bass from the front for each song individually buy a good quality Equalizer and do it cleanly without distortion.
@HighVybeTribe agreed, it's convenient for sure. But you can also do exactly that with an EQ. Almost all modern EQ's have a main volume adjustment and a separate subwoofer adjustment l, then the rest of the frequency adjustments.
My alternator is 150amp its a standerd alternator and also have a 200ah litihum in the boot will this amp be fine to run or will i need to upgrade alternator ect..
The DB amps are supposed to provide better low end frequency power. From what I hear some can tell the difference and some say they can't tell a difference form the EX or vulcan and the DB series.
Not sure it’s been a while but it’s always best to set the amp to your setup and not just copy others because the gain will always be different. But for the low pass crossover I usual set to 80hz.
Would the fans in this amp be too loud for a daily driver truck install??? BTW I out 2 Brutus 10's in my living room and loving those with a Crown xls2502 pushing them... Thank you
i use this amp, but my subs dont hit as low or hard as they did on my older kenwood 1k. i think this would be an amazing full range amplifier though, im going to test some 3 way 6x9s soon.
Can you dyno the stetsom digital bass 3k? Or the stetsom flex 3k? I stuck between the 2 and don’t know which one to go with. Thanks love your videos brother.
They are just giving you the power output at different voltage. Some people have standard alternators and batteries and some have upgraded alternators and lithium batteries that run higher voltage. And have more amp capacity / less voltage drop.So they give you both ratings so you know what the amp puts out compared to your system voltage.
on stock electricity you can just imagine that numbers to see,, voltage drops under 11V often on burps and hard bass songs.. Must have at least 180A alternator and another battery in trunk if you want to feed 3k amp properly. For daily normal use you can install it on stock electricity but must be very careful to not burn amp with low voltage drops.. maybe just turn Gain a little bit down.
No with this amplifier you need a high output alternator and at least 1 extra lithium battery in trunk and if your looking for 14.4 volts just get a high output alternator that does that voltage
I got mine hooked up to 220 alt and 200ah lead battery bank. Mine starts to clip at 2200 watts, I just wish the clip light came on to let me know. Ended up blowing up my subs. Decided to hook up the oscilloscope and sure enough it clips at 47v
40hz you won’t pull 300 amps in the real world. Be cause if impedance rise. But as far as wire size goes it depends on how long the run is and if your using OFC or CCA wire.
How is the amp holding up? did you set the HP just below the first hash? I just got mine about 3 days ago I have it pushing two brand new cerwin Vega x max 12s and it slams .

Stetsom actually started way before Taramps and I still have a Stetsom 10kd that works great.
I would actually like to try out some more Stetsom stuff soon.
I have this amp & it's a dream I use it in my daily 3or 4 hrs a day & it gets down I'm gonna buy a second 1 for my wife's truck I'm on board .

Just to clarify you have a 200ah lithium?
I’m using mines the 2ohm version on two pairs of bnc 6s for my mids works perfectly
Great little amp
Thinking about using this on a single resilient sound 18 2000rms
Yes
It looks to be a great amp, as for the reason for 4 gauge inputs I could be that full bridge amps require less voltage to achieve max power???
Partially true but for that amount of power you still need 1/0. Some companies just expect you to use 1/0 to 4gauge reducers.
What would be the difference between this amp and the DB3000? The DB3000 is $100 more, so just trying to see the difference... Thank you!
The DB amps are supposed to provide better low end frequency power. From what I hear some can tell the difference and some say they can't tell a difference form the EX or vulcan and the DB series.
Would this amp blow up if i tried to wire two 2ohm subs down to 0.5ohm
In my opinion it would not be good to run .5 ohm in this amp.
How does this compare to the soundigital 3k?
Great videos
The sound digital are very good but for the money, taramps, Soundstream TXP and STETSOM are all good.
What were your settings on the amp?

What reducers did you use for this amp they look they fit perfect
These are the reducers I use. amzn.to/3pwvOCC
Wonder if it do .o5 ohm

Do u have stock electrical bro?
Whats the difference between this and the stetsom Vulcan series?
Vulcan is the newer model
I bought this amp last week for my l7 12 and I broke my box the first day. If the amp explodes I'll comment again
I have 2 evl 10 skarr i wonder if
I can used it
You can use it for sure. You will have a little extra power to counter impedance rise.
Do you think a bstock would be a good ideal? I found a bravo bstock I’m thinking of getting
Not sure just depends on why it’s actually B stock. Was it used and abused and returned or maybe it just has a scratch on it?
How does it compare to the TPT 3000? Have been able to try that one yet?
Haven tested that one yet.
Wow, nice numbers for a great price.

I’ll keep that in mind and thank you so much
Curious how would you control the volts in a car? RMS Power at 1 Ohm 12.6V: 3000W RMS VS RMS Power at 1 Ohm 14.4V: 3350W RMS

What would be the best RCA bass knob for this amp in your opinion?
Any one really. even the cheap ones on amazon work pretty good.
Use this for midrange speakers, I promise you'll not be disappointed. This is not a good sub bass Amp.
What hz was this test ran at? Would 2ga awg be to small to pull 300amps?
40hz you won’t pull 300 amps in the real world. Be cause if impedance rise. But as far as wire size goes it depends on how long the run is and if your using OFC or CCA wire.

Yep great price for the power you get. And this thing held up to the Dyno like a champ so that means it’s pretty tough little amp.
