Today's vlog is a market vlog! It's more of just an event vlog, after doing the event I realized it was not centered on being a market but instead an event where they asked vendors to be there. It was a huge fail in my opinion and made me reconsider how I face markets in the future!

Your new shelf display is SO EPIC. Really really happy you found a good way to display the graphics on your clothing! This is bound to do good at a better event

Great support team ! Love love love every single thing ! No matter what, this event made better, you are forming your business concepts and experiences,’it takes the less “successful “ ones to make it as well, it’s all part of it- next time your event set up comes,‘you have already got a wealth of experience that you wouldn’t have been able to obtain by simple research or planning-
Usually the events I have at this venue go pretty well so I was hoping this one would be the same, but I definitely learned that the venue is not always the reason markets go well! I definitely learned a lot of lessons here!
Hate that things weren’t as profitable for and fun you at the event. That rocking chair alone would have drove me insane!!!!! 😒😖🫠😵💫i love your videos. Enjoy time without kiddos.
The rocking chair was about to send me over the edge but I felt bad asking her to stop because I didn't want to force her to stop rocking lol!! Thank you so much for the support, we had a great vacay!
Hey Bailey! Ok, first things first, the shelving/display stand is awesome! It is the perfect addition to your set up. Well done to Ethan for creating a masterpiece! 👏🏼 As for the event results, it really can be disheartening. I once did a whole day at a “entertainment” centre and made a total of £7! 🤦🏼♀️ There was no stall fee but the time, effort and preparation (as you know) was upsetting. But we live and learn. And you, like myself, are both new at this market game so I think we have to suffer these types of events in order to find the gems which are no doubt out there. So, lovely lady, keep the chin up and I hope you enjoy your mini break. x
Hey!! Thank you so much Ethan definitely is quite the handyman!! I'm sorry you had to deal with that bad event too! I definitely feel like if it hadn't been on a day where I could have just been hanging out at home or having fun somewhere else I wouldn't have been so mad but starting my vacay like that was so annoying lol. I feel super great about the next two events I have coming up so hopefully we end May on a better note!!

When coordinators have to come to other events to recruit vendors definitely do research first location demographic and requirements. Most of those turn out to be outdoor yard sales 😵💫
This event was at a place where I regularly do events so I thought it was going to be a similar vibe/outcome for sure!! I wouldn't have minded it too much if it weren't so far away 😭😭😭
I did a lot of crappy markets in 2023, so for 2024, I set myself a budget on vendor fees and will only spend the money if the market is worth it. Plus I’m coordinating some markets this year too and I’m definitely not doing what other bad coordinators do. Sorry this market was so bad for you. Good luck to upcoming markets. Can’t wait to see what you do with the serger. My serger has been sitting underneath my sewing table and need to make its intro ☺️ -Judy
I was thinking of maybe making a monthly budget of what I can spend that month on markets. If I am for sure about a market maybe I'll be willing to break the budget lol but I'm going to try to stick to it! I think the market I have tomorrow is going to be really successful, or at least I'm hoping it is! I think it's time your serger had it's debut :)

Sounds like you are figuring out what is best for you. Plus only doing just markets that will showcase your products the best. Your experiences will help others doing the same.
I definitely think changing it up will definitely help in a lot of different ways for sure! Also since it's about to get extremely hot here (it pretty much already has lol) maybe doing less markets will be a lot easier for me physically. I am also going to try to find a few indoor ones but those are kind of hard to come by!
Love the new shelf! And enjoy your kid free time with Ethan!! Keep pushing forward and chalk it up to a learning experience. There have been plenty of other successful events. And you will have more.

I definitely think especially in the summer since it'll be so hot that lessening my market load will be for the better. I do like doing markets but I do need to up my short form content game too lol. And thank you I love it too!!

That could definitely be a factor at other events but this one was straight up just there weren't very many people there and those who were weren't there for vendors lol

When will you be here in Jacksonville? I’ll promote you on my Facebook and IG. Yikes don’t put your shop in vacation mode cause you will fall out of the algorithm. Just up your shipping time and set your item amount to reflect only what you have already made.
Yeah, it kinda sounds like several different people maybe saying several different things, bc they are kinda new with this all as well ???
I think the event organizers for this event didn't really have a game plan with what they wanted to do with vendors so told us all different information! Like they told that one person they wanted them to be set up by like 12 but never said anything like that to me and just said I could start setting up at 10 if I wanted so it was pretty confusing!
