Tim, I've been doing yoga since the early eighties, when I was six or seven. My first teacher, in New Delhi, was a woman in her sixties who studied under Dhirendra Bhramachari, so that is my lineage. My brother and I studied with her for five years or so. It was very different from most yoga here, and since I moved to the States, I have found only a few teachers that resonate with me. You are one of them. You are a true yogi, my friend -- simple, kind, pure, and very, very attentive. Thank you for your service to humanity. I hope to meet you in person some day.

I found it so hard to find a routine that not only centred me but also got my heart rate up! I LOVE this workout because I really appreciate a lot of repetition in a yoga routine. Really helps to get me into a solid rhythm and keeps my breathing much more steady than some of the more complicated routines. Thanks so much! You're a great teacher and so easy to listen to/watch :)

Dear Tim. I've been regularly following your videos for a couple of months now. Just want to say thank you very much. I practised hatha yoga everyday for 3 years and then stopped for 4 years due to life getting a lot more busy so I become vary rusty. I am a uni student and I have a small family so I find it difficult to afford time and cost of yoga classes. Your videos I have found very helpful to practice at home. I really like the aspects of movement, breathing and strengthening all at once (vinyasa). I have nothing to give you in return except my humble gratitude. Namaste.. Hare Krishna...

Tim, from as early as I can remember I've never been able to sit with my legs crossed without discomfort. As you said at the end of this class notice the difference in how you're sat I realised, I'm finally sat with my legs crossed in comfort! Thank you Tim, this 30 day challenge is great!! Just wanted to say thank you so much for your videos. I now practice morning and evenings. It has benefited my body and mind so much. I used to go the gym a lot but felt like I was breaking my body and my mind was still buzzing at the end. I find yoga quite challenging and my mind and body have to work together to get through the practice. In the end, I can actually go into a meditation very easily. So thanks again :)

I like how fast this seemed to go by, although some of the poses and parts of the flow were challenging, it was nice to have the balance of it not feeling like it went on forever. Thanks Tim.

Hi Tim, I stumbled across your videos from Lesley's page and am hooked. Your workouts are great and easy to follow for beginners. I am a Naval ROTC student who enjoys yoga in her free time and have recently convinced fellow male midshipmen to join me in yoga sessions. Your videos are great for athletic and stereotypical "macho" men, like my shipmates. I really appreciate the example you set for these guys.

Hello Tim, thank you for these videos, I practise daily for a half of year and still I did not stop like it - the surroundings - sea, wind, everything is so calming. I almost got rid of my backpain, which I thought about a year ago, will be eternal. Please keep on posting. Funny was, when my son came to me, watching you on the ipad asking me - Mum what are you doing and I said -Yoga - and the guy there is Yogi, he is practising long positions or something like that. He was watching you for a while and the he said - Mum, he is good - he can do it realy for a llooongtiiime..and I told him, yea - you know some Yogis are good and they can do it such a long time (but I thought to myself - God, is this really possible to do it for such a long time!?)..then we noticed that Ipad has frozen :)
But my finger is up of course, and admiring your skills really, especially the handstands, that is something out of this world for me, cheers

Hi Tim, your classes and teaching style are great and I use them regularly. What do you mean when you say, "keep your waist deep and your lower ribs down."? Can you give a little advice on how I should be adjusting and feeling that physically?

"Yoga is not about getting somewhere.." What a great reminder, Tim. Could you do a class for vertigo recovery? Got hit with it almost 2 months ago. My worst part is over but still feeling the groggy after-effects. Just wondering if there's a sequence that could speed up recovery
April Kuan Im sorry I don't know much about vertigo recovery. Have you gone to see a Dr.? One time I got bad vertigo from diving and couldn't do any yoga for a bit and had to see a Dr. to try to get the crystals fixed.
Just a GP, who said it was stress-related; hoping to see a ENT doc for a second opinion. Same here, had to stop yoga for a few weeks, which was a bummer. Now trying to get back on track but can't help getting frustrated by how weak I am. Which is why it was good to hear your comment about yoga; it was a good reminder for me to not focus on the end result!

hey Tim, thanks for the video ...recently started yoga (because of P90x30 - their routine kills me lol). I'm not very flexible so a lot of the poses are a bit difficult for me. I had a back injury as a kid so that might be the cause. Great video - looking forward to the next one. Thank you!

JayKaySpliff You're welcome. I strongly recommend taking one day a week for complete rest. No Yoga, no anything on that day. It's really important for your body to recover.

I'm starting to get into yoga. Thank you for this. I'm kinda flexible already but I wanna be more and maintain balance. Maybe some day I will be flexible enough to do a back hand spring :P
Its good to set goals to get excited about your practice, but try not to worry about them once you do, and just be grateful for what you can do each day you practice.

This is a great initiative from you. Thanks a lot for posting these amazing educational yoga videos. I work a busy schedule and can afford around 30-40 min per day session for 4 days a week. I am beginner to intermediate level - have done hatha yoga on and off for the last few years. To get the best out of your training, should I do one video at a time for a few consecutive weeks and or do several video sessions one after the other over and over again? In other words, is there an ideal sequence?
