Not enough People don't notice ray was a great slasher and a solid passer/ball handler besides just an amazing shooter and he became a solid defender on boston
people forget that ray allen was just more than a shooter....this man was an absolute scorer who just so happens to have one of the best shots in history.
What people especially in my generation don't realize is so how of a complete player Ray was in his days with the bucks, sonics and early days with Boston. While he was known for his shooting and rightfully so I think his passing, stealing, driving to the rim and creating off the dribble is very underrated. The difference between a Ray Allen, a Reggie Miller over a guy like Kyle Korver and Steve Novak is that not only are they great shooters but they can also create their own shot off the dribble.
According to your logic Steph Curry is better than Ray Allen because he creates much better, shoots a higher percentage, and broke his single season 3pm record. I agree about Ray = Reggie
Actually no Ray was good in Boston. Ray broke the record for most 3 pointers in the nba finals in 2010 against the lakers and even went off for like 51 against the bulls in triple OT. What happened to Ray was he got older and became only a 3 point specialist rather then an all around player. I gotta say when he went to the heat it kinda made me lose respect for him but it doesn't make him any less of a player in my eyes. But what happened in his last year in boston and in Miami was age. Age caught up with Ray so he could no longer create his own shot, run the floor or penetrate to the hole like he once could but he was such a great shooter that he still could average double digits by just standing in the corner and throwing up 3's.
Ray Allen is better than Reggie Miller. I say that because even though Reggie was great at moving without the ball and drawing fouls, Ray Allen was great at scoring in every way you could imagine. He can catch and shoot, he can shoot off the bounce, he can break you down 1-on-1 and get to the rim, he draws fouls and made them at a high clip, and he made the big shots, as this game shows.
With all due respect to Klay, but Ray was just a better player. He played with some great players before Boston (Sam Cassell and Glenn Robinson in Milwaukee and Rashard Lewis in Seattle) but Ray played in an era before analytics and in his Milwaukee days, a bit of hand-checking (the league had started to do away w/ hand-checking for a while by that point but was completely eliminated in the 2005 season). Ray was also greater at driving to the basket and was more athletic. Klay was a bit better as a defender though. Ray got better once he got to Boston but I'd say Klay has the edge on him in that department. In terms of rebounding, Ray was simply better which is more impressive considering the small-ball lineups today. Ray is also the better passer but Klay never had to develop that skill bc Steph and Monta Ellis were the primary ball handlers in his early seasons while Draymond took over once Monta Ellis left.
Are you serious Reggie could score off the dribble just like Ray, and as far as athletic ability you're right Ray is more athletic, but that doesn't really mean anything because Lebron is more athletic than Jordan and Kobe, but we all know that they are better players.
I don't agree. Can you imagine if they had turned James loose in that NBA? Playing at that pace, with those slower, smaller defenders playing less aggressive team defense? Not saying he would have scored 100, but he might have. He'd certainly be all over the record book.
He was truly one of the greatest Sonics ever. A shame that the team moved and he resorted into shameless championship chasing real late in his career. Needs his jersey retired, and of course Milwaukee’s #34 is going to be used on some other guy…
Ray Allen should have went back to Sonics (Thunder) instead of Miami... Oklahoma City big 3 Kevin Durant, Russell Westbrook, and Ray Allen... Easy championship
So Karrem Abdul-Jabbar is by far the best player ever? No. IMO not even top 10. just because he has 38k points doesnt make him the GOAT. Impact on the game in their respective eras is how GOAT is determined. Right now its still MJ, but Lebron is definitely taking strides in the right direction. When you have a player as special as James, someone capable of taking a 17 win team to a 66 win team you can never use stats alone to mark their place in history.

Yeah, huge shame they could never give him a decent big man to play with in Seattle.

I remember this game and this series..Ray utterly destroyed the Kings.
Him and Jerome James inside he was grabbing offensive rebounds left and right against us.
I'm glad the Kings got trounced in this series. That's what they get for trading Webber when he was putting up 20 and 10 a night.
Kings would’ve lost regardless because Jesus Shuttlesworth is the one of most clutch players in nba history while CWebb is the complete opposite.
Thanks for uploading this video please do some more ray allen videos!
Damn I miss Luke and Ray in the back court they were not only exciting, but they were efficient, and very fun to watch! Great UL
Ohhhhh Allen ! That shot was crazy
Idiot Alert
I'm a kings fan and i remember this game. I was mad but after a while I was in awe. I was like 10 though.
Ray Allen.... One of my faves.
RayRay just showing off everything in his arsenal. =)
Ray Allen is so fun to watch. I wish teams today would give him the chance to put up these numbers again.
God I miss Ray Allen and the Sonics
people sometimes forget how good of a player he was when he was in his prime
yes! I have looked for this for so long finally it on youtube
Ray Allen is great
The kids just don't know how elite Ray Allen was. All areas of the game!
It doesn't matter what team he is on he is still gonna do his thing
These uniforms were the best

he's underrated in passing
Uncle ray ray
When ray allen was one of the elites... Burned out quick when he left seattle and became a nobody when he sold out to miami

Old good times...
When u score 45 in a clutch way. Then it's all good
I remember in the offseason after this playoffs Ray's sister dyed his hair blonde and then it all fell out on him like immediately
May I ask where I can find these full NBA games from the mid 2000's. I want to watch some of the Kings highlights from those days...
So, that's the game where Jerome James got his big contract.
can u upload some of Peja Stojakovic higlights?

amazing
NBA feels different nowadays.
Nick collison is old, he was with the sonics and thunder

when Allen was a leader
this is a video about Ray Allen, why are you guys talking Kobe and Lebron?
the Kings were declining by those days
thumbs up if you agree
woah ray allen cant shoot off the dribble tht well and with someone in his face
I don't agree. Can you imagine if they had turned James loose in that NBA? Playing at that pace, with those slower, smaller defenders playing less aggressive team defense? Not saying he would have scored 100, but he might have. He'd certainly be all over the record book.
Jesus
if he stayed with seattle he would been a great leader to kd russell westbrook
He was truly one of the greatest Sonics ever. A shame that the team moved and he resorted into shameless championship chasing real late in his career. Needs his jersey retired, and of course Milwaukee’s #34 is going to be used on some other guy…
niet
KD just came in 2007\2008 I think
So did Durant and he is not old.
6:54 7:15 COMPLETE TRUTH
Ray Allen should have went back to Sonics (Thunder) instead of Miami...
Oklahoma City big 3 Kevin Durant, Russell Westbrook, and Ray Allen...
Easy championship
yea that's true but so can Reggie
Everything you just said about what Ray Allen can do, Reggie Miller can also do, you're crazy for saying that he's better.

You smoking Jimmy Crack Corn if you honestly think Kareem’s not too 10.
And he also took all reggie records with less shots......
heat did :)
it was better for him that he left seattle
I respect your opinion man, but I just don't agree with it.
Reggie couldn't score off the dribble like Ray could. He wasn't as athletic either.
amjilt sugaa
hahahah
To bad your not Ray allen
LUKE RIDNOUR. Go Ducks.
god those uniforms were bad
Kobe is not a better player than LeBron. He just isn't...
