Im working on it. Its pretty hard to understand when english is not my native language and St Maximos is one of the hardest one to grasp even when translated to finnish.

@@telosbound What that he believes in the heretical understand of Apokostatsis, & neo-darwinism? He does, he writes about it. I've read his works. He's of the "parasian" school that fled the Soviet Union to the liberal-West.
Hart's career trajectory is really a tragedy. He could've been a superior CS Lewis with access to contemporary scholarship around Eastern Orthodoxy, he's certainly a gifted writer but I don't know what happened to him :/
If you haven't read Alfred North Whitehead's Process and Reality, you really should give it a try. I know it isn't really a Christian work but I think it deserves attention. Whitehead when properly understood is a Platonist but this requires close reading and some familiarity with Neo-Platonism on the part of the reader. It is in general critical of modern philosophy. I think Whitehead even critiques any sort of hard dualism and the idea that the mind is somehow completely bifurcated and distinct from reality, which seems to be similar to Bulgakov's critique of modern philosophy. I think he critiques what he calls the subject-predicate dogma on those grounds but I'm less sure on that front. Whitehead as I understand it thinks that we all ultimately live in the mind of God, which is the universal consciousness. This of course is entirely consistent with Platonism, which also actually says the same thing but implicitly. Plotinus in his polemic against the Gnostics said that only one type of intelligence is needed in response to the Gnostics positing a separate active and passive intelligence. Hence the idea of thought thinking itself.
Delightful. Particular comments later. If you were ever put on the slave block I would sell my house and purchase you so you can speak on command. On questions and subjects which still baffle me.

I previously mentioned Alfred North Whitehead. If you have the patience and time for it, Christopher Langan's CTMU is also worth checking out. The CTMU/SCSPL is fundamentally a somewhat modified form of Platonism. Again, this requires a reading of the text that goes beyond the superficial and for the reader to have some working knowledge of neo-Platonism. By Langan's own admission, neo-Platonism bears quite a close resemblance to his work and this becomes apparent when one actually reads his work with a working knowledge of neo-Platonism in mind. Bit of a random question but: do you read the Bible literally? As in, do you believe in a literal adam & eve, 6 days/periods of creation?
