I loved this story. Not only because it was uplifting but because opossums are one of my favorite animals on the planet. Their role on Earth is so much more important then most humans realize.
I love stories like this! They didn't have to do what they did - and continue to do - but are very good people, a lovely reminder that there is kindness in this world. Bless you both + your fur baby family!
I had 39 opossums living under my house while doing some renovations. Was able to trap all 3 moms and 36 babies. The last two babies were the hardest to let go into the woods behind my house... I wanted to keep them so bad.lolol But nature rewarded me. I'm raising a baby squirrel that was rescued from a cat. Hoping to release him into the woods behind my house in the next 5-6 weeks. I'd still love to rescue a racoon or opossum tho. 💞
I absolutely loved your video. I know what it is like to find a baby animal and love, nurture and care for that baby. The worry, the concern and the love shown towards this little animal is all consuming. Your opossum is so cute, so innocent and absolutely worth all your hours of care, worry and concern. You have done an incredible job in saving and raising this little creature. A true labor of love.
Love this beautiful baby and your beautiful family! Really special you found GiGi and I hope you all have many many years together! Love this story and happy for all of you!
Where I live in Canada, our local wildlife sanctuary and rescue regularly takes in baby opossums who's mothers have been killed, usually by being hit by cars. In fact, there are online reminders that if anyone sees a dead opossum on the road to please check if there are babies and to save any that are alive so that the wildlife rescue can rehab them.
Thank you so much for taking such a great care of this beautiful opossum! They are amazing creatures and deserve to be loved and respected! God bless you less you for your kindness!🙏❤️
I KNOW!!! I have a momma who stops by every night for a drink of water. In spring, she had 3 babies on her back. I threw out some chunks of cheeses, and the babies hopped off to eat. Their feet were SO tiny.
I like the videos, but I pay for RUclips Premium for a reason. Now we're getting commercials crammed into the middle of these videos. It stinks, and will make me think twice about supporting this channel.
Thank you so much for saving that little creature. This shows what kind of amazing humans you are.❤ At the end of the video she winked at the camera how adorable is that I love her too❤❤❤❤❤❤❤😊😊
When I see videos like this the first thing that always comes to mind is "is this animal housetrained?" I wish they'd give some details about things like that.
Just when you think that the world is going to hell in a handbasket, up pop two wonderful, generous, caring individuals to show us that there is still some goodness left in an ever increasingly dark life.
RUclips forced me to watch the ad for The Wild Robot 4 times with no Skip button! FOUR TIMES!!! I would love to go ad free but I refuse to give RUclips the satisfaction by paying them!!!
I see opossums in my garden sometimes and they scare me because I don’t know what they are going to do. I do protect them from my dogs because I know that their defense is to play dead and that’s not much of a defense. I don’t see them as a threat. This is a nice story
I have Penny. Found her beginning of July and weighing 70 g. She mow weighs almost 2 pounds. I’ve probably raised about 50 doing wildlife rescue. Live these little guys🥰
The sad thing about possums is that they don't live very long. A year or two in the wild, maybe four years in captivity. I just can't have a pet like that. It's hard enough losing a dog after 12-15 years, but losing a pet you love after just a few years? We have a few stray cats and possums that we've fed daily over the years, and every so often we won't see the possum for awhile and we know that he's not with us anymore. It's just sad. I need to look into having a pet that will outlive me so I never have to say goodbye.

PROVERBS 12:10 "The righteous care for the needs of the animals But even the kindness acts of the wicked are cruel " We as humans are the caregivers of all God's animals especially when the animal need our help and this baby possum definitely needed help and you gave your part so Thank you 💕🐾🐾
I don't understand the hate toward possums. I find them absolutely adorable, never mind they help big time with pest control.
❤❤❤❤❤thx for this - we need more humans like you
I don’t know how they are still thought of as pests when they do so much to help in nature…I love them. ❤
I felt attacked by the ad at the beginning. That was a pretty aggressive cut😂😂😂
I agree, it was aggressive as the Migration movie ad they pushed near the end of last year.😄
Cheers,

Lol Just clubbing us over the head with; *The Wild robot*
Yup- wtf with that ad in the MIDDLE and no way to skip. Dodo, do better
LOL. People are so fragile nowadays.
@@cateng767You know you can skip ahead right? It’s not a RUclips ad.

thank you for saving this adorable opossum!! she has blossomed into
a beautiful flower.
Opossums are misunderstood for sure. So glad she found a loving home.

What absolutely beautiful people inside and out. The timing of them finding this baby is miraculous - just amazing. Little Miss has the cutest ears!

So cute. I love possums ! 💜
How adorable is she and so happy you all found her and now she has a loving, forever home ❤❤❤❤❤. So happy you all didn’t kill one another…😂❤😊
My first impulse is to say "I WANT ONE!" but I see how much work and devotion it takes to take care of them. Kudos to you!
I LOVE it!!! I've raised opossums! They're great! Thank you!
Thank you so much for taking such a great care of this beautiful opossum! They are amazing creatures and deserve to be loved and respected! God bless you less you for your kindness!🙏❤️
That ad felt SO out of place
Right! Why am I paying for premium if there’s an ad stuck in there? 😑
Dodo chooses to promote it because its about animals, just like last years migration 😊
I don't pay for YT premium and l don't have commercials ... I use an ad blocker app that's free. Win win 🙃
THE LITTLE FEETSSSS

@@celestemartinez3560 OMG that's soooooo cool!!!!
Right???❤❤❤
She’s beautiful
Love this! I had a different view of possums until this video. Beautiful relationship.
Gorgeous! I volunteer at an animal shelter in my city and I got to meet an amazing ferret named Carrol Anne. She did the same thing to my hoodie :)
I like the videos, but I pay for RUclips Premium for a reason. Now we're getting commercials crammed into the middle of these videos. It stinks, and will make me think twice about supporting this channel.
I prefer that over waiting 6 seconds, or unskipable ads.
I agree! It's bad enough with Amazon Prime now including commercials in their program. I hate the fact that RUclips is doing it now, too!
That’s why I stopped paying almost 20 dollars a month I would stop watching my creators at that point cause all of them have in video ads
Thank you so much for saving that little creature. This shows what kind of amazing humans you are.❤
At the end of the video she winked at the camera how adorable is that I love her too❤❤❤❤❤❤❤😊😊
What a sweet looking baby. Gracias por cuidarla y protegerla ❤❤❤❤
I pay for premium precisely so I don't have to see ads. Why am I seeing them?
What a good cat ❤
When I see videos like this the first thing that always comes to mind is "is this animal housetrained?" I wish they'd give some details about things like that.
I always wonder that too with foxes, squirrels etc that are in a lot of these videos.
This cute little opossum is the most adorable little bit!! Just a cutie pie and a beautiful dream come true!!
Awe. Such a cute critter. Thank you for adopting her❤
😊 God bless your big happy family. I wish your kindness were contagious. I love your act of kindness, your family and your big hearts.
God bless you ❤
I didn't know opossums ate ticks & fleas!! Awesome. Always learning on the DODO😁😁
Why is there no emoji for an opossum ?? 🤔
They’re so sweet & misunderstood ~Thank you for saving that precious life💛
I'm 35 years old and I don't think I've ever used a smiley or "emoji" as the kids call them. Is language not beautiful enough on it's own?
Just when you think that the world is going to hell in a handbasket, up pop two wonderful, generous, caring individuals to show us that there is still some goodness left in an ever increasingly dark life.

Love the channel but what was the commercial that showed up!!?? 😂😂
Relacionado con la vida silvestre, nada de qué preocuparse, está muy bien.
DreamWorks The Wild Robot
God bless you for saving, caring for & loving this tiny little baby 👍🙏❤️
Wow, you guys are wonderful!!
They love apples. We all need to plant more food for the wildlife.
Thanks for rescuing her and loving her! ❤

Since when have RUclips videos had full on ads edited into them??? I've seen sponsors in the video, but this was basically a commercial break
Just Beautiful😮😊
Hey, it's the guy with the love--not-so-sure-about-this relationship with his cat!
There are no pests, theire are is life and diversity so everything is one system of abundance

Weepy Bill is back! And he's asking bizarre questions about their relationship!!
Now that's quality "producing!" 😂
Such a beautiful video ... and then the ad jumpscare happens.
Well done best of luck ❤❤❤
So cute
Aww, poor fing, they woke her up, sleepy eyes 😂
Love her! ❤
Q BONITO ❤❤❤
They are cute in their own way ahahaha
"...no wildlife center would take her." Why not? She's definitely wildlife with no one of her own kind to take care of her. Weird.

Get a reptile or a bird. Some can live upwards of 40 years.

No reason to give dodo team face time, very random
