It was a fun season. I have never been more proud to be a Phillies fan, even though they did not win the World Series. Let's have a wonderful free agency, but an even better season. Go Phillies 🔴🔴🔴⚪️⚪️⚪️🔵🔵🔵⚾️⚾️⚾️🏏🏏🏏
thank you for including harpers take before hitting the world series clinching homer. seriously the most impressive take ive ever seen, really showed how locked in he was
Schwarbs' meltdown over Angel Hernandez's ever-changing stroke zone was one of my favorite moments of the season. I watched that entire game and you could just feel the frustration. He became one of my favorites for just laying it out there that night. Hernandez is a joke.
Yup,the ump was really bad that game.Schwarber had every right to complain.I actually thought he was calm considering how bad the game had been called. As it has been said, it's the squeaky wheel that gets the oil.
I had so many memories this year. Celebrating the playoff berth with my dad, celebrating beating St. Louis with my mom, celebrating beating the Braves with my boss who’s a Phillies fan at work and celebrating winning the pennant with my dad. What a month
The 93 Phillies were my parents generation's Whiz Kids. Phandom gives every generation a team like that. I'll never forget the 2022 Phils and the ride I took with them at NLDS G4, NLCS G4, and WS G3.
Who knew the back to back HRs off Hader would be so huge at the time? Who'd have thought a team with Rome Q and Odubel in CF would go on to win the pennant? Remember when Corey Knabel was the closer, Girardi the manager, and Eflin a starter? Lots of adjustments. Lots of audibles. Lots improved. More improvements coming......
Don't underestimate Zac Eflin. If his knees can stay healthy for an entire season, he will be a great addition to the Rays staff. On top of that, he's a fine young man. Will always be rooting for him.
Great season for the Phillies, I will never forget this great year, good work by Rob Thomson and players like Harper, Schwarber, Wheeler, Alvarado, Suarez, Realmuto and etc, I see you and I wish you all a great future. I hope that Trea Turner or Xander Bogaerts join the team very soon to leave the place that Jean Segura left on the team. Also good job for the creator of this video, I have been waiting with great excitement for this video for 3 weeks.
Hopefully Quintana or Taillon for the rotation , I do want Rodon or Bassitt but I want Turner or Bogarts more. Get one of those back end starters to fill the rotation & bullpen arms they will be back in the world series
@@joegotz1971 Thank God, I admire that Turner preferred baseball far more than the money he could have been given. Surely if it had been another player he would have gone to the San Diego Padres with that multi-million dollar contract. I see a great future for my favorite team the Phillies, I hope they make a new dynasty like in the 2000s and 80s and I also hope that everything happens like the Royals of 2015, after losing the World Series the following year, they achieved the maximum. glory
@@luisotemodsvz There are many season highlights on RUclips. I must have watched the Phillies Home Run Derby (Every Hom Run Hit) 3 times. And Schwarber and Harper hit some real bombs. Schwarber hit one into the right field third deck and the right fielder never moved, he just turned around and watched it
I drove all the way from the Bronx to go to game 4 of the NLCS (yes I’m a Phillies fan from nyc) and shit was 100% worth it. Best game I’ve ever been to. Love the Philly crowd.
Although the Phils didn't achieve the ultimate goal, that was one hell of a season. 7 games under .500 at the beginning of June...fired the manager, Harper out for 2 months, Segura out for 2 months, Wheeler and Castellanos out for a month...finished 13 games out of 1st and came within 2 wins of being World Champions...picking up Sosa, Marsh, and Syndergaard at the trade deadline was huge...the bullpen bounced back after a very shaky start...especially Alvarado...Rob Thomson absolutely should have been Manager of the Year...outstanding job by this entire organization...I love this team and I am so proud to be a Phillies fan...if we add Trea Turner and a couple of more arms...we may just get another parade down Broad St. Can't wait for 2023...GO PHILLIES!!!
As a 46 year old fan that started watching in 1984 and was spoiled by Kalas and Ashburn, my appreciation for TMac has grown immensely since he was given the impossible task of filling Harry’s shoes.
Great job with the video. Tons of memories over this season. Let’s see if we can add a couple of pieces to the puzzle and next year it’ll be a Fightin’ making that catch to win the WS.😎🤘
I am so proud of our Phillies and our fans (we are the best!). They gave us a great season and run. I just think they just ran into very good pitching at the end. They will be back next year; can't wait. Only about 7 weeks to go before the beginning of Spring training in Clearwater.
Yoooooo I'm here in 2023 enjoying every minute. at the time of this comment we just went up 2-0 in the NLCS. How about Casty?? killer first half of the season then double play batter/automatic out the second half, then freken big D dingers all postseason so far. Trea insane turnaround after the standing ovation, which is an amazing story and embodies the culture of Philly sports, is continuing to dominate. Harper with a bitch slap to the braves and just a philly legend. Kyle and JT waking up at the plate. Marshy is hot. Bohm getting some swagger back. Starting pitching been lights out. Bullpen getting the job done. Suarez for not being a top starter or close to it is exceeding expectations and earning his respect all day. I could go on and on. anyone wanna talk Phils, or debate, or friendly rival shit talk hmu man I love this squad i could talk about it all day. GO PHILS
Saving this for later because I still don’t think I can watch highlights of this season and postseason run. Looking forward to watching these 46 minutes of memories I’ll never forget though!
This season brought me back into baseball. I'm a phillies fan til I die but I hadn't watched since about 2014. This season brought me back. It was just A FUN SEASON plain and simple.
It was a fun ride , But I think it showed that we didn't have the depth in the rotation to finish it out. If we can go get Trea Turner or Bogarts for SS , Taillon or Quintana for the rotation , some bullpen arms , they will be back in it
The way that the team rallied around Bohm after his comment, then the way the city rallied around him the next day, then Bohm becoming an absolute menace to the other teams for most of the year absolutely defines Philadelphia and our sports fans. We want you to give it your all every day and night. He showed emotion. He showed that he cared. He said the wrong thing and got caught, then he said and did the right things to fall back into our good graces. We get a bad rep, but all we want is players that care. He's now one of my personal favorites because of how he handled that. We all say things in frustration that we don't mean.
I do love that Yankees fans had to hear the term "South Philly Bombers" in game 3. In fan currency that's just as good as a ring for me.... a nice eye roller for 8 figures worth of people....lol
It was a Cinderella year for the Phillies, no doubt. But the big hitting offense went silent in the end. They are a beer league softball team with big mashers but fewer hitters. Too many strikeouts, too many big swings and misses with 2 strikes, not enough contact. Castellanos was a bust at the plate all year and into the playoffs, tho he made some nice timely catches in the outfield, catches that Vierling could have made as well. Phillies need another good starting pitcher, some more bullpen help, and more discipline at the plate. It was a fun up and down year and the skipper change was vital.
I do have one regret. For all that Roman Quinn endured as a prospect and all the non hitting he had in his opportunities, I really wish he could have experienced some POSTSEASON excitement to offset much of his career disappointment. Also, who knows if long ball Hall will ever get that chance too. Guess the truth is neither was good enough, but having those 2 or 3 loud tools could be right in the right postseason situation (speed/power/arm). Hard to argue that we didn't get the max out of this squad, though......
Felt the video needed some finality. The Astros won fair and square, complain about 2017 but the Phillies lost that series because they couldn’t hit in tight spots and played inferior defense.
Not complaining about 2017 just calling them what they were proven to be. Anyway I guess my point was it says Phillies highlights is all. That at the end hurt all over again after being happy watching the memories
