Hey Denis I'm glad you came accross this video! I'm definitely loving and enjoying the amp, there will be more videos with it in the future. Thanks again for selling it to me!
Thanks for the positive feedback! I love this song heaps too, after watching the Seattle '89 show for the first time years ago it made me even love the song twice as much more 🤘
Amazing playing dude . That set ups a beast !! I imagine you can hear it from a couple of miles away . 😂😂😂😂 Stunning instruments too . Thanks for sharing .
Awesome cover, you nailed this pretty much, you just need to work on getting the intonation of those bends in the intro part right and it'll be spot on. (The bends sounded slightly sharp but apart from that, excellent cover)
@@LucasPestkowski No worries man, keep up the good work. it can be difficult to hit bends at the right pitch, it's something i struggle with too, keep at it man though man, you absolutely rock. 🤘
i was a little skeptical in the beginning with those Uber bends, but every other aspect of the song you fucking destroyed, kudos to you brother, killer cover!
Nice cover and sound! My favourite guitar, pitty that they dont make it anymore. I got an epiphone explorer 1984 instead, similar building, not quality of course.
I think you did a good video as shooting and editing, but I have to say there are some little mistakes during the closing bar of the main riff when it goes on the 16ths on A# and I'm wondering why you didn't played the harmony section in the interlude, since you have done the intro I mean. Ah and during the rhythm below the solo you are missing an A# too. But I'm not saying it is a bad interpretation, it's just 'cause I play this sing too from a long time and I have noticed this little things. However it is still an hard song to play and you have done a cool all down picking work \m/
Hi! How are you? I'm Demian from Rosario Argentina, I'm telling you I'm an independent music producer, and I play the drums, and I want to do a project in which I record the drums for a song and then edit it on video,
Curious to know if you had the nut replaced on your MX2 or something?! I've owned 10 of them since 1992 and they all had graphite nuts. I've yet to see a bone nut on one.
This MX actually belongs to my friend who let me borrow it for this video, but its a 2021 built MX2 which he only recieved a few days prior to me filming this, so it came out of the factory with this nut
@@briansmith2125 Some smaller US guitar brands are still building custom MX style explorer guitars (obviously without the ESP branding). Check out Black Diamond Custom Guitars for example.
@@cristianlopez_8486 Agreed and I really hope that Black Diamond, or whoever will put in the real effort, kills it selling them! Whoever succeeds in filling that small market space needs to be willing to build an ESP MX-220 spec machine and go no further.
@@briansmith2125 let's hope they remain low key and demand remains niche, lest we have another Gibson style cease-and-decist lawsuit like what happened to ESP.
Sounds awesome. There are a couple things that stand out as different to me: 1. The bends on the intro which others have noted 2. The main riff - looks like you’re playing the same 0-7-0-7-0-7-8-7 0-7-0-7-(8)-7 pattern each time. Listen to the isolated guitar track, you’ll hear that (8) on the 4th string is a (6) on the 6th string every other time. I mean this is all splitting hairs of course… freaking kick ass cover dude.
Thanks man, It's a genuine MX2, built in 2021 one of the last ones ever made apparently. This guitar belongs to a friend of mine who let me use it for this video.
Hey Lucas, I came across this vid by accident. it's great to see you're putting the Mark IIC+ I sold you to good use...keep it up!

Can you guys sell me one ! ? I got the $ if you do sell
Lol I’m always trying
I was in high school when this album came out and I loved this song the most! You did a great job playing it and the tone is on point!
Thanks for the positive feedback! I love this song heaps too, after watching the Seattle '89 show for the first time years ago it made me even love the song twice as much more 🤘
It was Jason Newsted who actually showed this riff to J. Hetfield. The result was one of the most badass metal songs ever created.
This is the first cover of this song I've found that is actually down picked properly. Well done.
Best Blackened guitar cover I've seen so far! Thanks for sharing!
So excellent. I can feel the touch sensitivity of the amp through the video. Great video, excellent playing and loved that reversed intro.
Thank you! Yes the amp is really something!
Amazing playing dude .

It’s been a year since this video, and nobody talking about that sick guitar strap.
(And sick cover obviously, good job!!!)

Holy!! That Solo at the beginning was so clever!! Well executed!!!!
You've rocked it guitar hero 👍🎸 Metallica is a great band and I've enjoyed your performance very much =) Keep it up my friend =)
Thank you very much :)
The tone is pretty spot on, love it. If they play this in 2024 (ha) I'll probably bust a rib or 5.
Absolutely superb !!! Must have EX-250. Already have Simul C+ and VH-4.
This is the best sounding cover! Awesome! Greats from Brazil!
Thanks heaps man!
Best guitar cover by far
Sick cover that was on point, love the guitars by the way!!🔥🔥🔥
i was a little skeptical in the beginning with those Uber bends, but every other aspect of the song you fucking destroyed, kudos to you brother, killer cover!
FUCK YEAH !!
I was already so hyped at the intro !
Very nice cover and guitar!
Impressive! Love the tones you achieved... that "cutting stereo distortion" or "articulate crunch paste".
I fuckin love the guitar strap on the explorer
Great gears! Well played
Killed it, awesome cover
I love this machine gunnie Explorer..kkk
Bullet shooting sounds!!
So furious that ESP won't make those guitars anymore.
Sick cover matey! Subbed! 🤘🏻
I’ve covered a few Metallica songs as well if you got time to check them out! 🤘🏻

Superb 👌👌
this song is so fun to play SO HEAVY, also hard to keep clean and keep strings muted but whne ur in the mood it comes nattural
Boss Katana mk2 50 vs blackstar id core 40 which is better?
very nice tone
Mint the intro was actually played backwards! Ha oh yes he did it backwards next haha! Good man
Kick ass, man!🤘🏻
Superb playing
Damn son! How many layers of rhythm guitar are there, 2x, 3x? Shit was heavy
Just 2 layers each panned left and right, it's the amp that gives it that thick tone!
Goes hard man keep it up where you got that strap tho it’s amazing
What???? The intro was backwards??? What the?? Actually, I knew this, just wanted to point out how awesome it is to see it done! 🎸
Beautiful guitar
Nice guitars and tone
A couple of the reverse-intro bends were really out of tune, but the entire forward-performance was fantastic!
GOod job fellow Lucas! Gave you a sub!
With the death shirt 😎
amazing man 🤘🤘🤘💪💪💪

Isn't the top one a KH Signature ESP LTD 502 because I have that one.
It's a 2006 ESP KH2
Perfect play!!!!
Excellent
Fuck yeah! Signal?

Awesome cover, awesome downpicking and awesome guitar strap. Where did you buy it?
Thanks man! The strap I bought from a music store here in Perth, its made by an Australian company called DSL Straps

Nice how was the recording process ?
Thanks, I recorded with an e908 and SM57 through my interface (dual tracking) and mixed in my DAW
@@LucasPestkowski ok thanks I have sm57 I just now started to record into my Mesa cab is the the seinhiezer sound different enough to get it to ?
@@danielhenry4614 they are both very similar, the sennheiser sounds a little more warmer if that makes sense, its not as "honky" as the SM57
How does the 2c compair to the 4?
The IV I have is a very early model from 1990 and to me it sounds 90% like the IIC, it is a little more tighter in feel which I love
For some reason I don't appreciate the intro being played the reversed way I prefer the original the way it sounds on the track

It's a IIB which got converted to a IIC+ so I think it's around 1982/83
