I bought the Kia Sorento in 2023..
So far, I am loving it, and it's worth every cent. The build and ride quality are on another level.
R1M is too much considering that you can actually get a Ford everest with that money if you like the old guard, or the Tiggo 8 pro max which has more speed and similar tech if not better. I just can't see how you can justify that price tag on this car. Overall though, I love it's design. Well done Kia, well done 👏🏾
Price tag is justified, Kia is a good quality brand, it has all the bells and whistles and also mechanically they make reliable vehicles, Tiggo 8 reliability is yet to be proven and Ford everest is technically in a different category of vehicle, but yeah the design elements of this car are top tier, definitely looks like a million bucks
@KalloG I beg to differ on the price. The Kia is definitely not R400k better than the cherry. Although the ranger is in a different class, it doesn't matter whe the price is similar, you might as well buy the ranger.
@mandilakhemaphikana7772 Drive the Chery for a month then let me know, look passed all the toys and gimmicky features and compare the two cars for what they are meant to do, Drive, Kia is by far a better drive than Cherry

Everest is on a ladder frame with coil springs. Basically a bakkie.... Sorento better than Everest!

Maybe consider mentioning starting prices for the range. Top spec models are usually overpriced with all their features.
This car is one of the best SUVs out there trust me. I have the EX+ AWD and I can tell you this thing is sweet and very practical. You can get a pre-owened with very low millage for +-700k
Quality design from KIA, German cars and Japanese cars are starting to look generic, to the point where if you cover the badge you can barely tell the cars apart, its nice to see something different that looks really good🔥👌
that's because german realized that simplicity looks premium and since follow it
because most of modern world started to see simplicity as a better thing.

Personally I think the Sorento is worth every penny, I would buy this in a heartbeat over a Isuzu MuX or Toyota Fortuna, its a very compelling package. We need to remember that not everyone is looking for a lifted ladder frame SUV, plus we all know how good KIA’s warranties and maintenance plans are, so it will give you years of piece of mind. The tech and safety features also seem to be up there so nje well done KIA, well done! 😂

This is a great review. I would have to go for the Hyundai Palisade if I wanted a direct competitor. But I would not compare it to those bakkie based SUVs the comfort and safety levels won't be the same.

There's potholes every! Yesterday my wife & I were meeting our friends for lunch in Hollywood. We drove through Beverley Hills, The Beverly Hills in California 🇺🇸 . Guess what there were potholes, I must admit it was 1 or 2 not a lot 😅😂😂
Well... It's good but it's been made kinda redundant by the competition and the fact that it's ground clearance is quite low... It's not a proper offroader. The Chery Tiggo 8 Pro Max looks like better value at a much cheaper price, similar features although it lacks AWD for now. The savings you can use for fuel. This includes it's sibling the Santa Fe and bigger Palisade
Tip: swipe at tollgates, to avoid making a line

I have looking for south african review of this car and you did a great job. I love the design of this car and the interior is good except the climate controls. In terms of price i think is reasonable compared to its competitors. But the full tank for this car is too much

Kia Sorento now looks like a Hyundai Santa-Fe. Sportage looks like a Tucson.

Great review. I think this car is better that the bakkie based SUVs, I choose comfort and gentleness and softness and I don't go offroading 🤷🏽
How much diesel does lindiwe consume?
I average 8L/100km on mine. This figure goes down to 6L/100km on the freeway. I don't use sport mode.
