    I still keep seeing the same old already-refuted all over social media. What's it take to make these arguments die? I'm tired of repeating myself. So I'm making a series of short videos dealing with the PRATTs that we always see repeated every week from every creationist out there.

      "Nope, any kind of god or intelligent design implies something the atheist absolutley abhors. That implication is that there is a moral standard"
      I would argue that a deistic god would not, but I suppose that's not the kind you believe in.
      And of course assuming we should base our morality on our origins is nonsensical. I believe morality should be geared towards doing the most good for the most people, and I do sincerely believe at least a good chunk of others all over the political spectrum have the same moral core as me, just with very different ideas about how to achieve that and what that even means. Even people who draw all their morality from what they think their god would want likely mostly believe that their god's orders are the best way to maximize human happiness.
      I suppose what I'm saying is humans are social animals. We like healthy, strong societies because we can't cut it alone. This makes sense whatever our origin.

      Fred Derf, not really. For it to be a post hoc fallacy, there would have had to be ice giants before he made the promise. That is my favorite fallacy, though, and is used a lot. To borrow from a great philosopher, my mother's friend had a headache, and then she rubbed a cat on her head, and the headache's gone. Concluding that the rubbing of the head cured the headache would be a post hoc fallacy example.

    Me: If I wanted to sin, I'd be a christian.

  • @RustyTube

    Sin is a Christian concept. It has no meaning to anyone else. Therefore, only Christians can sin. And sin they do.

    • @gageblackwood8832
      @gageblackwood8832 6 лет назад +20

      You do know that Islam, Judaism, and most of the world's religions have developed the idea of sin, right? It'a far from being an exclusively Christian concept.

    • @RustyTube
      @RustyTube 6 лет назад +35

      Judaism does not have the concept of sin (an act so horrible as to deserve an eternal punishment in hell). Islam took it from Christianity. And no, most of the world’s religions not only do not accept the concept of sin, they find that concept quite ridiculous and offensive.

    • @gageblackwood8832
      @gageblackwood8832 6 лет назад +7

      RustyTube. - I believe a "sin" would be defined in the dictionary as ANY violation of the rules and regulations of a particular religion. The actual punishment is a different issue. A sin does not need to incur the most severe punishment of "eternity in hell" to still be classified as a sin and make the believer liable for less severe punishments. Of course Christianity is pretty extreme in imposing the most serious possible penalty (eternity in hell) to otherwise good people just for the "sin" of disbelief.

    • @RustyTube
      @RustyTube 6 лет назад +17

      The sin the Christians accuse people of wanting as a reason for being an atheist is a specific theological concept. A dictionary has nothing to do with it. Especially an English language dictionary, as English words tend to have many more meanings than those of other languages (mostly because of the English tendency to shorten words to just one syllable, a problem most other languages do not have).
      If you want to look at words, the early Christians in Rome used the Latin word _peccatum_ which, despite the claim of the Oxford Latin Desk Dictionary, had a different meaning than sin in classical Latin. It preserved the original meaning to its day in the modern Italian word _peccato_. When an Italian says _che peccato_, he/she is not saying _what a sin_ but something along the line of _what a pity_ or _what a shame_. I actually had the unpleasant experience of watching two dogs copulate on the lawn in “Downtown” Rome back when I was still a priest and a student at the Gregorian University, with a crowd of people watching and one Italian whispering, _“Che peccato!”_ It was at that moment I realized how, over the centuries, the Christian theological concept of _peccatum_ (sin) was drastically changed from the actual meaning of the word _peccatum_.
      So, yes, the theological concept of sin is very uniquely Christian and has no meaning outside of Christianity. And so, only a Christian can sin, the rest of us just live.

    • @enforcerridley158
      @enforcerridley158 6 лет назад +6

      RustyTube Judaism does have a concept of sin, just not a concept of eternal torment. They do have a concept of a punishment in the afterlife for sinning, though it is one year max, have a concept of an eternal death (without torture, though it's cold and dark), don't really have a concept of eternal life (until after their Messiah comes), and don't really have a concept of getting into Heaven itself.
      Though Judaism doesn't focus on a supposed next life, and the focus is to be on this life.
      So, if you sin, you die, though this hasn't been enforced since the building of the second temple of Solomon (which was destroyed just a hundred or so years later).

    "You just love sin" might be my favorite, so-called, argument for belief. I have never intentionally harmed another human being in my, fairly long, life. I don't lie, I don't cheat, and I don't steal. I was faithful to one woman for 31 years until her death and, despite a couple opportunities, I'm still faithful to her memory. I drink a little wine once in a while, which is good enough for even children in the Catholic church, but other than that one could call my life "monastic". And yet...?
    Every so often I run into someone who claims I am doomed to Hell because I don't spend even a second worshiping their nonexistent imaginary friends. I laugh in their faces and move on to people who might actually have something interesting to say.

      Even though sin and morality often overlap each other. you were describing mostly morality in your comment. which is still okay it still covers the bill. as for me I find that I have pretty high moral standards. and it's not because I practice morality I don't. it's because I have no life I don't go anywhere, I don't see anyone, or have any interaction with anyone. I don't lie, that's not to say I wouldn't tell a little white lie. if I might benefit from it and it wouldn't hurt anyone else. but I'm not a very good liar so I'm better off not to lie. and I'm not a thief I don't steal from anyone. I know the difference between right and wrong and I learned the golden rule and I'm pretty ethical. so I would say that my morality is as good or better than most any religious person's. so to that I offer up this challenge to them to see just who's morality is better. I'm willing to do a comparison to see just who's morality is better. and I wouldn't be surprised if it turned that I'm more moral than they are.

      That is all humanity. There is no morality without Jesus Christ. According to this man, we are nothing more than a bunch of evolved animals. Random processes born to consume and enjoy. This world wants to strip the value that Jesus Christ says I have in Him and make me nothing more than an animal with a vocabulary.

    I'm reminded of the Christian Gospel of Matthew 25's tales of the three servants and the Lord, and the morale of the King's story, "Whatsoever you do to the least of my brothers, that you do to me."
    The biblical 'King' (Yahweh) is basically described throughout the texts as a sadistic A-hole who hypocritically dishes out disproportionate rewards and punishments to his subjects in an outrageous and fickle abuse of their omnipotent power.
    Yes, that which an A-hole does to the least of my brothers, that A-hole does to me - its called empathy and a concern for the wellfare of my worldwide family in humanity.
    What sort of depraved A-holes could worship an A-hole who would damn men, women and children to burn in agony for infinity years if they're are not convinced by a poorly supported 2000 year old legend? ...The statistics show time and again that they're the sort to have the shakiest of morals and a penchant for cruelty.

    I was shocked when a friend did this to me. I posted a meme about kangaroos and Noah's ark and he didn't bother to address it, he just made claims about my motivations for disbelieving. It was doubly offensive because when I was a believing Christian I politely listened to him natter on about chakras, dream meditations, higher conscious, and other dimensions and psychic abilities while excusing it all as just facets of his 'Christian' belief and not the belief in 'pagan' magic/pseudoscience add-on it was.

      I always try to circle back around to that whole "forgiveness" thing when and if someone attacks me for being an Atheist. "If you believe in God and that God is good and forgives us all for being sinners (no mortal is perfect) then he'll forgive me for not believing in him, riiiight?"
      The interesting thing is how the person will take it from there. Do they double down on their rhetoric and contradict the "loving God" notion or do they grumble and shuffle off, realizing that they're wrong about something?

      In your opinion what would have been a good way to teach ancient people right from wrong ? How does believing in God make us not want to sin ? One little thing that is interesting about sin *(concept of) is; without it we would not have knowledge of good or evil. Could that be the underlying meaning of the Garden story ? One fun illustration is, when you walk by a fence with a whole in it we would not pay much attention., right ? When we walked by the same fence hole and a sign said; "don't look in this whole", most would. Just a way to look at things and remember "it is not always whether a snake can talk but what it said that matters" . *Karla Barth 20 century German Theologian. Their are highly educated Christians. He could call it " The Bible Part 2 " It could combine the Old testament with the new testament and the newer testament. This would surly answer alot of questions from all them pesky non believers. He could tie up all the loose ends found in todays world. And make them fit into todays scripture. Similar to making the 10 commandments into Exodus Gods and Kings. Same story just updated.

      @@MostAmericansAreClueless1 I'm so sorry I never saw this comment, and never meant to ignore it. Though my family are about fourth generation, from Europe, I'm not unaware of the atrocities commited by my country. Though I believe there is no country, tribe, government, or whatever that are innocent of corruption and evil. When I said it would be great again, I was being sarcastic about drumfs campaign slogan. I think our country, like much of the world is evolving, we are behind a lot of the west, because of religion. But, no, this country was only 'great' for white men, for the most part. As I believe no human group is 'innocent', I also believe none is 'pure'. Our species is young, relatively, and all have migrated, mingled and moved. Thus, though we have culture, and superficial feature differences, we are all related, as DNA shows. As for our founders, some of them wanted slavery abolished, blacks given rights, and even women! Probably not equal, but at least human. But, the slave states economy required slaves, and to get them to agree to 'revolution' they had their way. And though columbus killed, and enslaved many native people, the US mostly just destroyed them and their way of life. But hopefully we can do better. So, I hope I answered to your satisfaction. @Dan C. Yes C. I've read history books, though I don't claim to be 'well educated' as in a degree. Atheism has never truly been in power. Some dictators who happened to be atheists took advantage of a populace that had been steeped in religion. Communism, would have been a good thing, and don't forget jesus laid out the basics of it, had it not been corrupted by bad people. Any ideology can be that, I didn't in any way suggest that it couldn't. By religiotard, I was speaking of the religious extremists who keep trying to take over our country, government. I do apologize for the slur of the word religiotard, that was wrong and I try not to use it anymore, as most are victims. But out of the hundreds of thousands of governments that have existed, very few were atheist. Except now where Japan, most of europe/scandanavia are all about 90% atheist, and of course have the highest ratings in polls for happiness, health and income, lowest social ills,(poverty, crime, unwanted pregnancy). North Korea is not atheist, they worship, as divine, kim jung un, as they do his father and grandfather. They believe all to be the same person, it is a necrocracy. Hitler was a staunch roman catholic and 'doing his duty for god' , his soldiers were mostly lutheran, that is why they had 'god with us' on their belts. As for stalin, as I said, yes he happened to be atheist, as the Russians believed the czar was partly divine, but the ussr did allow the Russian or 'eastern' orthodoxy back into power, even before glastnost. As for china, again, they never declared 'atheism' as most were buddhist, which is more about reincarnation, no god needed. Now, as for the rest of the globe, Africa had numerous gods but is now, as is typical of being conquered, mostly muslim and christian, as is south america, pretty much everywhere else, including the middle east, Muslim and christian by conquest.The body count in religious wars is astronomical compared to any ideology. And, just because their religion is different from yours does not make it atheism which only means 'with out god', specifically, without a personal god, otherwise you could be adeist, 'no deity'. Our founding fathers, here in US, most were deists. They believed in a god, more like just a higher power. A lot of them, were actively anti-christian. They considered themselves of the 'enlightenment'. Actually closer to atheism! And I'll bet dollars to doughnuts you stopped reading this after the first paragraph, sorry I went so long. Good night and have a great life! 💓n✌

    Considering that a large part of what has been defined as "sin" has been things that we are naturally wired to enjoy, and that this was the main reason many of them were declared sins in the first place, then yeah! I want to sin! Because you've deliberately defined sin so as to include things we naturally want to do. Why else would masturbation be considered a sin? Who does it harm? Yet virtually everyone has done it and most still do, at least occasionally.
    What better thing could the early Christian church ask for? You 've got something that almost everybody does, yet unlike things like eating, breathing, urinating, and defecating, you won't die from not doing it. So you tell people that it's a SIN! That God commands that they not do it! You point out the fact that they don't have to and not doing it wont kill them, so then if they do it's because they're morally weak and it's a sign of their inherent wickedness and a failure on their part for which they need the absolution of the church in order to be clean again.
    You invent a problem and sell them the cure.

    I'm in the process of leaving the faith I was raised in. I've been in this process for years-it took a long, long time to admit I don't believe in God, and longer still to open up about it to close friends. I still haven't touched on the topic with my family, and there are some that I hope never find out (not because I'd be ashamed, but because, at this point, they aren't too long for this world, and it would crush them).
    Anyway, I still find myself keeping the "rules." Partially out of habit, and sometimes in an adjusted way (instead of donating to the church I'll donate to different entities). It's silly, but for some stupid reason I feel obligated to keep following those rules so that I can "prove" that I'm being honest. That I'm not leaving my faith just to indulge in the world. Sometimes I think it's even to prove it to myself. The only things I don't really do anymore are attend church services and read scripture/pray. But it took a long, long time for those to stop.
    And yet somehow, for some that know, I *still* deny god because I want to sin. Apparently those afternoons once a week and the few minutes before bed I've saved were enough to tempt me to throw away my immortal soul. That somehow oblivion after a short 100 years is more preferable to me than continued existence. I totally understand atheists who prefer our entirely mortal existence, but for what it's worth, it was *really* hard for me to admit that this is all I will ever experience, and that the family/friends I've lost will only ever be present as memories.
    So yeah, it really sticks in my craw when people condescendingly handwave difficult honesty as mere excuse to break their rules.

      side of jelly beans I remember the exact moment I realized that I had concluded I was an atheist, I remember thinking no hell and no heaven, and it was wonderful. I also remember an intense feeling of commonality with all humanity and felt a weight of hate and bigotry lifted from me. I was totally free of the mental shackles of religious dogma that had taught me to dispise and hate certain "others." I felt I had truly become a moral person at that point and I have never not felt that way since. Life means so much more to me now than it ever did before and not only just my life but all life, except for biting bugs. Still hate them. LOL

      I just commented because of recent experiences where people learned I don't believe anymore, and asked (rather inappropriately) how I conduct myself in my personal life. I don't think it's intentional, and I think they're trying to make sense of why I pretty much gave up what I held onto for so long. Still, meaning well doesn't make it less annoying.
      RhondaH, totally get that. There's a lot that does feel so much better-not having to deal with cognitive dissonance, for example. Simultaneously trying to be rational and honest with myself while simultaneously maintaining my belief was, obviously, untenable. I like being able to accept evidence without trying to have to re-interpret how I understood church doctrine (I always open to evidence evidence, which kept me jumping through hoops to somehow understand religion in a way that was compatible with it). And I like that we can be moral of our own power. And there is something about this life being temporary that makes it strangely precious. And life can mean whatever I make it out to mean. Oh, also, I now don't have to wonder why god gave kept giving me the cold shoulder every time I prayed. I was never bitter about it, it was just disappointing. Now it just seems funny, like being disappointed that a brick wall never responded to me would be funny.
      Still, there are things that I miss-it wasn't really logical, I just had a feeling that in the grand scheme of things, someway, somehow, everyone who's suffered would somehow have it made up for them, that basically any good person (regardless of faith) would get a happy ending. It was a nice fairy tale, or at least parts were. Ridiculous of course, but that's how it was.

    It is physically impossible to wish things into existence. It is logically impassible for something in the image of an evolved ape to exist prior to the evolution of apes and it is definitively impossible for a disembodied mind to exist absent the brain that created it because that’s what a mind is; the knowledge, notions and memories produced by a brain. If god exists outside our reality, then he does not exist IN reality. If god is beyond time then at no time does god exist.

    On the news tonight was a story about a woman in Switzerland who kept hurting herself because she heard God telling her to. It turns out she has a brain tumour at the area where the voice turns what we head into actual sounds. She is incapable of distinguishing between her "spiritual" thoughts and reality. It's a lot more complex than that, but it's an "event" she's suffered for years. The tumour isn't cancerous, but it's a slow-growing one which every so often interferes with her thoughts until the brain adjusts. Makes one wonder...

    That's the thing, if I thought there was a god, I couldn't just pretend to not believe in him in order to sin. That wouldn't help on any level. Besides if there was the christian god he would know that I'm doing that intentionally, so I would still be responsible for the actions I take. It's almost like saying I don't believe in the police, so I can steal all I want. It is really just religious people grasping at straws. Trying to make Atheists feel guilty or threatened into believing.

    Very good point, in there. “The only unforgivable sin, is the sin of disbelief“. That really is true, according to Christianity. You can molest kids your entire lifetime, and then convert on your deathbed, and be forgiven. Or, you can commit your lifetime to Christianity, and disbelieve on your deathbed, and you’re doomed. Well, then you get into the rabbit hole of “once saved always saved“.
    With Christianity, there’s so many varying beliefs, on sin, that one cannot pinpoint where the line is drawn, in which sin would condemn a person. It’s all made up anyways, but the logical fallacies are entertaining to ponder. But, the one that will condemn you, every time, is the “sin of disbelief“.
    “Believe in me, or else!” As if we can fully control what we believe. I spent 30+ years, as a Christian, flirting with agnosticism, the entire time. I was in complete denial, of how I truly felt about the religion. I couldn’t take it any longer, and pretend to believe what I didn’t believe. I finally had to admit, I’m an atheist. It had nothing to do with a desire to “sin”. Lastly, I am a moral person, and I desire to see a more moral society. Imposing Christianity, or any religion, is not the answer.
    Another great video, Aron. Thank you.

    A very common theme in conversion stories is that the person felt guilty about something they'd done, so they accepted Jesus into their heart so that God would forgive them.
    So they know. They know that people often use religion to feel better about themselves and avoid accountability for their actions. For me, that's enough to put this argument in the 'dishonest' category.

    I did not want to believe that Bill Cosby was guilty of the vile acts he was accused of. First, I grew up in the 1970's watching Fat Albert. It was one of my favorite cartoons when I was a kid.
    On top of that, I was raised by very strong anti-racism parents and they instilled that value into my sister and me.
    I remember well my reaction when I found out that racism existed. The idea that one person could judge another based only on their skin was not only bizarre, it was stupid.
    While my parents wanted me to be anti-racist, they could not prevent me from seeing it. I learned all the stereotypes and I thought them all stupid. After all, just look at Bill Cosby!
    I felt such powerful disappointment that I really REALLY wanted those accusations to be groundless. But reality doesn't give a shit about what I want to believe.
    In all honesty I *WANT* to believe in God, especially after my mother passed away. I grew up Mormon (Isn't Aron a "post-Mormon?) so I grew up believing that my family would be together forever, that we would still *BE* family in the afterlife. But after a careful and critical search for God's place in reality I think it clear that there IS no place for God.
    If your faith conflicts with reality you must conclude that it is your faith that is wrong. To do otherwise is the hight of hubris. Put another way, if your faith conflicts with reality, how can you say reality is wrong?
    I will never again hear one of my mother's jokes or taste her cooking. This to me is profoundly sad. I miss her, and the spot in my heart that she filled will be empty for the rest of my life. Oh how I wish to believe God is real!

    In another age, Aron Ra, you would have been a priest.
    Not because you believed in gawd, but because a man of your obvious intelligence would have realized that to publicly deny the existence of gawd would have been a death sentence.
    You might well have ended up the high priest of whatever nonsense you were forced to proclaim as "TRUTH", simply because you have a gift for public speaking, and a manner that commands attention.
    Ironic, isn't it?
    At least we can publicly speak our minds, and the movement towards rationality has been growing because of that.
    The only way that "Faith" wins over "Thought" is when "Faith" is backed by mindless violence towards those who deny "Faith".
    "Thought" needs no such spur, only that people accept that they CAN think, without fear of violence.
    I am grateful that I live in the age of "Thought", instead of the age of "faith", and I will continue to think, simply because of the sublime pleasure it gives me to do so.
    Thank you for being a voice for rationality, Sir.

You've never looked at someone with lust? Jesus said that if you hate someone, you are a murderer at heart.

    • @Scarletpooky
      @Scarletpooky 6 лет назад +6

      I didn't say I NEVER stole. I just don't do it now.
      Last time I stole something was when I was a believer, I haven't stolen anything since becoming an atheist.
      Last time I got into a fight was when I was a believer, I haven't been violent since becoming an atheist.
      My attitude change that made me refuse to lie came after I became an atheist.
      I've never raped, but my attitude change that made me against any form of sexual violence came after I became an atheist.
      I've never murdered, but my attitude towards when it's acceptable to take a life has change since becoming an atheist (It's now my less justifiable)
      So my personal experience is that I've become LESS of a sinner since turning atheist.
      There's no big daddy willing to forgive me anything I do. No feel good 'get out of jail free card'. Every single action I make stays with me forever and I have to live with that. And that has made me much more conscious of my actions and how they affect others.
      Basing my actions on what is good for everyone, and not just myself, has made me a better person. Far far better person than living under a list of rules that includes treating others like crap, and still being forgiven and having zero consequences if I don't follow the rules.

    When I was attending church, my preacher told us that the Bereans "searched the scriptures daily to prove whether the things they heard were true." He then said that Christians should do the same, and that you should never, under any circumstances, let your preconceptions deny what you've learned. I cherished this notion and considered it right up there with "Thou shalt not lie". To me, it was a sin to deny facts I'd read in the Bible or anywhere else, because if it's fact, then it's true, and if it's true, then I should accept it without question because the Bible says "Buy the truth, and sell it not". Later in life, I began to waiver in my convictions because the truth is that the universe is 13.4 billion lightyears across, and since God cannot tell a lie, he didn't make a young universe appear old to deceive the wise. This realization led me to question the biblical account of creation, which is undeniably supposed to take a week. If that's not true, and if God is the author of the book (as the book itself claims), then it must mean that God was not truthful. This ran counter to the verse which says "it is impossible for God to tell a lie", and this led to a chain reaction where the entire Bible fell apart, and from there my entire faith system falling apart.
    So, thanks preacher! You made me an atheist!

    "If God is beyond time, then at no time God exists." Check-mate theists. :

    If you really do believe then how would pretending not to believe make it okay to sin? This is such a nonsensical argument.

    Calling atheism a belief is like calling not collecting stamps a hobby.

    Before I tell a believer whether or not I believe in his or God I ask that believer to "define God." Many believers have never thought about this at all deeply

    Every word of this is fuckin brilliant. I’d share it with my mom’s side of the family but who am I kidding, logic and reason will never change their minds.

    You'll get so many dislikes from so-called agnostics for saying "there is no God"... I look forward to watching you discuss with one of these guys and maybe eventually help them get out of their closets.

      Don't like ragging on agnostics, but most of them are basically copping out just so they can fake fit in.

      Many agnostics avoid identifying as atheists because:
      1. As Neil DeGrasse Tyson, they're educators who have to deal with all kinds of people and thus think they should avoid that label - because they know, by experience, that attributing the "a" word to you will lead people to see you as someone who should be avoided. People won't listen to you any longer. This is really bad for an educator.
      2. They are not sure whether they're convinced. They sincerely don't know whether or not they believe in a god and may as well think that the plausibility of an actual deity existing is 50/50.
      3. They still hold some emotional commitment to religious worldviews, maintained either by social coercion or selective scrutiny. May as well say that "both atheists and fundamentalists are equally stupid".
      In any case, if you're not honestly convinced that an actual deity really exists, then you're atheist by definition.
      In most cases, generally when God is presented as utterly absolute and simplistic (omnipotent, omniscient, omnibenevolent, human-like) you can be Gnostic and claim there is no God and quickly justify your claim by pointing out that the definition of God is a logical impossibility. One may as well say that such definitions are arrogant and an offense to our intelligence.
      But there may be some logically coherent definitions of God that we can only go as far as saying we're 99% certain he isn't there - Is there a "there" for such beings to exist? I have yet to be presented to such definitions, if they still resemble a God in any way.

      Interesting expansion on the topic! I'll take it as "its hard to not be brainwashed by unscientific BS so agnostics still hang in the zone between full Atheist and whatever a 'believer' is."
      I agree that there is a significant stigma of the religtards against Atheists.

      I forgot to add another reason. Many so-called agnostics miss the meaning of the word completely, to something like "One who withholds judgment on the matter of belief" when gnose is actually all about knowledge. Theism and atheism is about whether you believe it, Gnostic or agnostic is about whether you claim to know it. If you're a declared atheist, you probably know this.
      Also they may fail to notice how a person can be gnostic/agnostic depending on the definition of god, and there are many definitions of this being, ranging from a magical sky daddy, through a transcendental orb of energy to the reverberation of interdimensional strings as in The Mathematical String Theory, by Michio Kaku.
      Many proponents of theism deliberately embrace and dismiss such definitions at the same time, depending on the argument they're trying to make and the deity they want to believe, making an ambiguous pile of crescent bullshit to support their nonsense, so people can just swallow it all in, gradually.
      Remember the book "God Particle"? Many theists actually argued that such particle supports their respective deities. They obviously didn't read the book, if they did, they would know it has absolutely nothing to do with Jesus.

    I didn't know anything of this AronRa fellow till recently. Everytime his face appeared next to a video it's usually got something to do with religion so I had been ignoring them. I watched one a while back now where he and others were protesting outside some idiotic new 'church' of some sort. To me he looked just like another bible basher so I avoided his videos till that one. He was having a discussion with some youngish woman about religion and no matter what she threw at him he ALWAYS had the perfect answer straight off the top of his head, I was quite impressed with his obvious intellect and incredibly quick processing power. This guy is beginning to be my favourite atheist now. I just wonder a little how somebody could waste so much of their time studying everything in the bible, plus all the history, unless he maybe was a "believer" who woke up to the bullshit at some point. He's a very intelligent bloke, there's absolutely no doubt in my mind about that, and I like that he works so hard at countering the bullshit the established religions would still love to shove down our throats.
    Keep up the great work you do Aron, it is of great value to human kind.

    I've often been told by Religious Folk (mostly Christians) that "Sin" is the result of "Choice and Free Will" - Humans "Sin" because they "Freely Choose" To Sin. To which I ask, Do "Christians" Sin? The answer must be Yes they do! Do they "want" to sin? No(?).
    Well then, How can "Sin" be of "Free Will" When People who aren't supposed sin ... sin anyway even when they don't want to? Hey ... maybe "Sin Happens"!
