I went back and saw the red question mark. Good catch! I wonder why that is there. Doesn't the front suspension A-arm bolt to that hole? Did it fit the other three holes and not that one?

What stood out the most was what most people completely missed, why are they not assembling this vehicle on one of their celebrated AGV units? Let alone how do they plan to get this assembly off that ridiculous frame support? I really suspect they returned the AGV units long ago as no video has ever shown them since September 2023 Chris A claimed they would be rolling by December to as late as February. During the EVA annual meeting in January it was stated by an attendee that Chris and Steve told him to come back in April to drive the PI and then it got pushed to June, then July, then August, and then September. The point is, they really do not have the expertise to insure not only are components ready when they are needed but in assembly as well?
Another thing I was wondering about is where are the lift points for jacks and jack stands, This is going to be awkward for the DIY guy in his garage trying to rotate tires. Forget about using any kind of a lift.
@@Aspkkr What do you mean by lifting the vehicle to rotate the tires? The tires will rotate as the vehicle drives. 😁 Seriously, I asked that question long ago about where does a person lift the vehicle for servicing. Especially at the rear wheel when it has that cover around it. Nobody seems to know. Now added to that, the coil shocks are buried behind the motor. Good luck getting to those if you ever need to. What I don't see is access to the master cylinder for the brakes.
Your comment stops at "told". I have seen this YT glitch a few times. The AGV's were a stunt to drum up money. They said they needed about 50 and only bought 12, then they stayed on pallets and never had the shrink-wrap removed. I reckon you are right about them going back; at least one would be used for PI.2 before it reaches 2,000 lbs.
I was looking this morning and I do question the front suspension. Aptera has had to lower the front roll center just to they can get those dampers on it. In addition to that, the motion ratio of those front dampers, is not even close to what they had been testing. With the roll center, it means they will have to do more testing as for a three wheeler, you want a high roll center. This is to keep you from having to go up on spring rate (which makes a car uncomfortable), bump (again, not comfortable) and a larger ARB. The larger ARB can fix most of it but not all. With too much roll, that means the rear tire goes to positive camber (which you do not want to have happen). So if you look at most three wheelers, they just use a high roll center to try to keep the vehicle more stable during cornering. Even the Beta had a massive amount of rear end stability but they lucked out to have a driver that knew he needed to put in a huge amount of correction for the steering to make it look stable. No regular person could ever do that. On top of that, Aptera is running the risk of when someone rips off a front wheel (which will happen), they have three points of contact on the upper control arm. The rocker for the damper is going to be cast in that part. From looking at this, it's going to be a big body bill to fix it as it'll need to be replace. Unless Aptera has a QR code that says, "Take your tig welder and weld back on that rocker mount." That's right to repair. So, all problems solved.
I've never seen upper and lower control arms ( I think thats what they are called, the wishbone equivalents) that were so long......being so long there will be alot of stress on the outer end of them, but they are experts in computer modelling right? I think chris anthony at one stage claimed they had some super computer biggest in the world for cfd modelling or some such nonsense to that effect. ( my personel view only, for entertainment purposes only, not a expert )
@@namenotshown9277 - If they just looked at any open wheel racecar since the early 80's or even a Vanderhall, they could just use a rocker and a rod that goes to the lower control arm. Thus the upper doesn't have to be built overkill. So, the upper control arm is way bigger than it needs to be but it is just because it has to support the weight of the vehicle. The way I see it, it's that they are just now throwing band aids on the vehicle just so they can get it out and rolling around. The original intent of what they were going for is slipping away. Cooling, motors and suspension. Each time they keep doing a change that is not what they wanted from the early days.
A fanboy just criticized me for saying Aussie's channel has some of the most accurate Aptera information. Seeing this kind of accurate thorough information must break their heart on top of the deteriorating financial situation. I think the main driver is the incompetence of the top brass not wanting to share equity with people capable of success.

A quick search in YT tells me they need the whole building when they go to production. So, if they get the $60M, are they going to just kick me out? So, this is why that whole thing is DOA.

@@aussieideasman8498 I feel a bit sad for them really, they really will not admit defeat, even when the evidence is thrown at them, what can you do..........the charade will come to an end, a pre-IPO ending would be nice, but I suspect it will be a post-IPO ending, either way it will end the same way. Its hard to give up watching this soap opera, even though you know how it ends.......well pretty sure on how it ends. What is not so clear is whether or not the directors will get away with it or not, now that would be a plot twist to have a theranos type ending to the saga......that would be a more just ending, but more likely will just be a nice neat bankruptcy pre or post IPO. What is interesting to me is the video from aptera is so dark you cant make out any details, I went through and took screen shots and adjusted the brightness/constrast....well using gamma adjust is easier is what I really did. And you can see all the details. If anyone wants to see those I can upload to a google stoarge but not sure if yt will let my link to it on here. Basically you cant make out anything related to the motor apart from the top bolts where the inverter is supposed to sit. They spent $800,000 in 6 months on media.......but cant do a decent video that isn't too dark........seems they are not spending the money wisely, otherwise you would be able to actually see what its in the video. Aussie ideas man you missed all the circuit boards need to be installed........have they even got them made as yet? you know where the stickers were on the binc. I think there were 13 of them.......that will be quite a job, then will they work as expected? Alot of fiddly things to sort out I would imagine. I thinks its pretty impressive, compared to what I could build, but then again I dont have access to 140 million and 20 million first time around, so you would expect something fairly impressive. With regards the motorised trolleys, I was thinking when I saw them, why buy those they are so far away from production it seemed a waste of money, but there will be some reason for it, are they something that can be resold after bankruptcy or sooner as some sort of investment in materials, they needed to spend a certain amount to get the CEC money, its a grant where their spending on production is matched by government, so in a way they might get materials like that for free essentially then resell at a later date when not needed. It does seem odd they would purchase something like that when much more simple trolley jacks, much cheaper would be quite suitable for the job...........over spending to get grant money is possibility ( my personel view only, for entertainment purposes only, not a expert ) sorry going to put this disclaimer on all the time now, just in case.

Is that Beta's steering wheel? It is hard to know based on the picture angles provided. According to Chris M, steering wheels are required for the track testing and they still plan on using the yoke in the future. Also, as Andromedach pointed out, where is the AVG unit they are going to build production vehicles on. It seems like a good time to test that out instead of using the stand they have PI2 attached to.
I can understand why they are not using their AGV units. This is a prototype that is not based on anything from the past. Those AGV's will need proper jigs and if you keep messing around with the design and not lock in what you do, then no need to do that. People are watching a new ground up design that has nothing to do with the gamma. I know that the superfans will disagree because they just look at the outside and go fro there. Not under the skin. That's why Aptera talks down to them as they know they will accept that.
@@billsmith5960 I can see a point to everything you said, but if these parts are supposed to be identical to production, now would be the time to build jigs. Perhaps what they are not saying is none of this is locked-in and there will be additional changes next year.

Thanks to the efforts of Elio and Polaris (Slingshot) one thing that separates the Aptera autocycle from motorcycles is only a normal Class C license is needed. To ride a Can-Am or similar trike, a person still needs a motorcycle endorsement like I have.
Misconception 19. is numbered 20: And difficult to park was covered in 4. He uses the same reasons but this times says "width of just 88 inches" - just?
Remember, it could be 102" wide. That's the legal limit for a tractor trailer in the US. Anything wider needs to me marked with wide load and typically need permits. So, Aptera is really narrow when you use a Tesla as a reference. When I say Tesla, I'm talking about their Semi but no need to go into that much detail. Just that it's narrower than a Tesla.
Misconception 12. NOT refuted: (sorry for doing 10 twice). This is completely off track. You prove a silly trike can be reached by a Tesla cord, which has nothing to do with solar energy increase.
Misconception 14. refuted: Wraps and solar panels are less durable than painted cars. Many last multiple decades, so wrapped vehicles are inferior. That's a fact.
Aptera is in a great position. Remember, Tesla delivered a bunch of cars with transmissions that they knew would fail. Then they laid off everyone and those guys went to a refrigeration place across the street. Here we are today and Tesla shows us robotaxi and robovan. In addition to that they had a rocket land back in the chopstix. So, when you see how well Aptera is doing as opposed to that loser Tesla and SpaceX, Aptera is in a much better position today and it shows because of the two CEO's. My money is on Aptera to make a robo airplane that is VOTL and being on Mars way before Tesla. I'm going to just pull all of my savings and buy up the Aptera stock when they IPO. I expect it to be $1K PPS. Even Apple might want to be on the lookout.
I don't know what Tesla is thinking on the Robovan. There isn't any ground clearance. Unless they plan on it running on rails like a trolley, I'm not sure how it is supposed to work. The SpaceX rocket launch was impressive.
Now that was impressive that chopstick landing, that is beyond belief, it seems mars is going to happen and rapidly. What people might not have noticed on that spacex flight, was the absolutely horrendous air pollution over texas/mexico, the haze was very bad. And those rockets in large numbers are not going to help it much, a double edged sword....amazing rocket progress, but horrendous air pollution is not even given a thought by the most people watching it.

@@aussieideasman8498 - In November 2022 was when Aptera signed a deal with CPC. So that's when it started. I'm just shocked that not a single person corrected that guy. On the other hand, people get threatened with banishment if they question the ambassador and even provide links to prove they are right. I've noticed a number of them and then they never post again. That's the reason why I'd never post there, I'd be gone in a day.
Seems like many sad faces because now it's been reduced to 60 being built for 2025. Everyone else got a 2026 or a TBA. I'm amazed as this shows that the superfans have zero experience in R&D and getting brand new products up to production. Instead, whatever Aptera says today, it's fact. Their latest video shows how far they are from just a rolling frame, let alone a 100% complete prototype. Yet people were thinking that somehow, Aptera could pull out a miracle and between 3 and 8 months, all testing and validation would be done and all of those other parts they need, just magically show up. All of those vendors just drop everything and put Aptera to the front of the line when it comes to making the parts and the machines that make those parts. I already have a 5 month lead time on getting a machine that will make suspension bushings. That's for a completed bushing that has been tested and validated. Not a prototype. When you have a machine like this made, they need to know exactly what they need to make and the parameters for quality control. Since Aptera doesn't have a complete vehicle to do this testing and validation, then there's no completed design they can sign off on.
The fanboys run on blind faith. I am making a series based on the Electric Viking's very recent visit to the warehouse he called a factory. Gives me nore time to nit-pick. Sadly - more hours to put in.
Finally, the reason I wanted to make a comment or two is to support andro's first comment - desperation has set in. However, the cretin is not as desperate as he is up for another payment from YT for one more meaningless video while PI.2 languishes even longer. He's more greedy than desperate and lacks the ethics to do things right, but here's what I wanted to say on his channel - When I was growing up there were three sometimes unruly boys living next door who I would at times hear one getting whacked by his mother (normal maternal behaviour in the 60's). Every time this happened I would hear "Aw! But Peter did it!" (or Jeff, or Rodney) and I would laugh at the desperation and the repetitive incapacity to learn that it only meant the first offender was getting whacked next. It was a dumb attempt to justify their naughty behaviour and only resulted in two being punished. So what has this got to do with what the cretin did in the video? He is as silly as the circa 10 y.o. boys. If Musk is guilty of something, it is in no way justification for anyone else to do the same and not be just as guilty, yet what the cretin expects you to do is exonerate Aptera for tardiness while being told Musk is like that and that's not okay. Airheads are easily manipulated and that's the cretin's audience. It's why he has a large block list, too.
It's interesting. I think that people are just trying to use the Robotaxi vs Aptera just to boost their views as Robotaxi is a recent thing and people search for it and Aptera is only searched by the superfans. Thus, we can all pat Chris and Steve as they are not like Tesla. Where the Aptera will come out before the Robotaxi. Plus, Tesla released the Roadster in 2008 with faulty transmissions and laid everyone off. So, Aptera is just way better than Tesla. I really hope they can compare Aptera to Taylor Swift. That would bring in more views. Maybe she would give Aptera the $60M they need.
You can't fit a Tesla in a drive thru. What I'm talking about is a Tesla Semi, no need to talk about the specific model, I just wanted to show how Aptera is better than Tesla.

Not just the 16 to build but a million miles of testing too. In addition to that, destroying three of them. I'm excited to see them testing them in the cold of the northern parts of Canada in the winter. Then the testing at one of the test facilities in Arizona when it's 115F out. Then their pothole testing. Let's not forget the testing of them hitting a curb when they are parallel parking. I also am looking forward to them driving it through a car wash like a hundred times. Since Aptera is better than pretty much all automotive companies (especially Tesla) they will exceed the testing that those loser companies do and show up absolute perfection all due to the intense million miles of testing.
Second comment regarding the excerpts I previously made (I won't repeat it): Still working backwards, skipping Rajiv because his comment was normal, Gull pretty much says people who whinge are trolls with idiotic concerns. Well Gull, the cretin has just made a video whingeing about Elon Musk missing timelines. I never once heard him says that it was okay for Elon, then he used it as justification for Aptera.
@@JoeBManco Ha You had me for a second, The coil shocks and the radiator will be interesting.
This morning you comment stopped at "since". It got worse - what's YT doing?
Aptera should offer you a job. Seriously.
It does seem odd they would purchase something like that when much more simple trolley jacks, much cheaper would be quite suitable for the job...........over spending to get grant money is possibility

He's more greedy than desperate and lacks the ethics to do things right, but here's what I wanted to say on his channel -
When I was growing up there were three sometimes unruly boys living next door who I would at times hear one getting whacked by his mother (normal maternal behaviour in the 60's).
