APTERA My Fight With EVIL Continues

This video is about free speech, and it's about the evil that content creators get up to. It's also about accepting the real world has idiots - not everyone is a genius. When people look for information it is better they get reality with it than be unable to see a thing. Much of this world has already gone mad. Intelligent comments welcome.

This one is a strong case for Chris lying because it's either him or the Pininfarina website. It's really a no-brainer. Okay Bill, now to get the brain in gear and put down what I remember about watching the new cretin's next update. First up, I recall he began with saying news was scarce lately and mostly bad (I think he used the term "negative", if I'm not mistaken), and he was only going to be giving the positive. I suppose he thinks it's okay for the nightly news to omit all the car crashes; people shooting school kids; companies going bust and every other negative news and only show Angelina Jolie taking her latest adoption to their first day at McDonalds; maybe even only show the weather report when it will be sunny tomorrow? He effectively admitted he was an unreliable source of news. lol, but he's too duuuuum to realize that. It also meant his news was brief on Aptera and long on all those irrelevant in-fills. It was a total waste of anyone's time. The real news was shown by Motormouth - nothing much happening, but that's negative. On the "great news about Aptera", I recall one was DTL watched the 4-min video we had all seen of the PI.2 speeding around the car park, of which almost all the time was Fambro lying to us, and the silly trike snippets being carefully shown while the rent-a-crowd weren't walking past it at a faster clip. Apart from that, I recall the sole little girl looking like the Statue of Liberty as a shrub was right behind her head for a split second (check it out) and the new cretin saying it was obvious it was bring your family to work day, lol. I suppose one kid per 30 adults is about right in the US these days? NOT. Just another duuuuum statement from a joke of a YT influencer. I am not influenced. lol. Other stuff has faded - oh! - I thought his hands were Michael Jackson's recently exhumed (it's right at the end - check those palms).

Yesterday I awoke to two dull videos. I first watched the gullible g011iw0g's weekly update, which I could make a 20 minute video on but won't bother (I think I will do a lengthy comment, though from a day-old bad memory) and then d0p3y Drew's pathetic effort. I was almost squirming at his ham acting with muscles Mac, who he really could have knocked down with a feather. Best he just stay behind a desk. If the fanboys got hope from that visit they are the most gullible c10wn5 on Earth. It showed they are not even treading water, lol. And another dose of Jason Speedbump palavering was tough to take. "Notice the door latch . . .", lol! "I'm a genius" - NOT! What I noticed was PI.2 hasn't been touched in a fortnight and what there was of PI.3 could have been assembled in under an hour (not to mention the warehouse was still empty). I also took particular notice of their stock of solar panels. That's the sum total of a Vista warehouse pumping them out for months? In any case, there was still no rear hatch panel. Check it out.

I think he meant glasses -those green things they fill the boot with and give away. Jokes aside, there are probably companies that make auto glass as well as Spain does, but they chose to use Spain's. I reckon it's because the brown paper bags are easier to hide from the US authorities in Spain. It's an entertaining thought.

    • @namenotshown9277

For a company with such high moral values as aptera, giving away dirt cheap glasses is rather immoral thing to do. The cheap glasses dont have uv coatings, when you wear them they reduce the visible the light coming into the eye and the iris opens allowing more light in ( pupil expands), the problem is because they are not uv coated or polarised the wide open pupil in sunny conditions is getting more uv light ( which is not filtered out). The pupil will close to reduce amount of light without sunglasses. So for a scientific based and high in moral values company they are doing a great injustice to young people in particular, the ones who will really want the novelty glasses. Did aptera pick a suitable quality sunglass to give away............nope........it will be just junk glasses. I learned this about cheap sunnies way back in the early 80's, so if they will do this to potential customers what will they do in their car builds that are also unsafe for customers? I'm not sure if this is common knowledge about cheap sunnies or not. I would imagine it would be fairly well known. ( my personel view only, for entertainment purposes only, not a expert )

Just another thought: if there is alot of weight in the rear section of aptera vehicle, its up very high, if its heavy it will significantly alter how the vehicle performs especially in corners and highly cambered roads. I dont think any testing has been done on this, there are plenty of flat road testing shown. I would be questioning its stability with heavy weight in the rear, there might need to be some limit on what weight can be put in the rear. Not that they will ever get to production, just a thought. The back load dynamics change when you change from IWM's to one internal motor, and not in a good way. Apart from IWM's having bad qualities, at least they were strong counterweights when placed so wide at the front before springing. Now that they are gone and a weight is placed centrally with no unsprung properties everything changes - rear loads are more effective in throwing the vehicle off line. Of course, they won't admit this or do anything about it.

experience aptera chanel, it has the very well done aptera solar calculator for blender, add on. Which takes into account the angle of every solar cell, its really an amazing piece of work. The model still has lots of assumptions and will still be higher than real world figures, but near the end after accounting for average cloudiness figures at carlsbad he gets 30 miles range using 10miles/kwh assumption. I think it will still be way too high but I have put up a comment asking for someone to do the numbers for 22nd august 10:15 am 2024 facing south east, and give the solar predicted output, as fambro gave the numbers off the screen for that day, so can see how accurate is the model. The numbers on aptera dash will be the output of solar cells before any losses, i'm guessing they will just have a current measurement straight out of the solar cells to determine the numbers on dash. The actual number will be lower as there are losses before the energy goes into the battery. The reason I revisited that site was aoc claimed there is no difference between flat panel and curved panels, not a big enough to make any difference ( he later deleted his comments but now denies he deleted them.......gives a little insight into his character). Anyhow seems there is plenty of difference in output due to curved panels, and even the direction the car is facing there are significant changes in output. At some times of day the front hood and dash ( at certain angles to the sun )they are shaded by the car itself. So this will also effect solar output, and will lower the maximum available at times. There is one good thing for me has come out of aoc chanel, I noticed he has black background in his youtube screen, instead of frying your eyes with white background you can make the background black ( typing turns white), its much better on your eyes, there is an addon for mozilla to do that called dark mode, wish I had known about it years ago.

I would say aptera has no excuse to contiunue to use 40 miles range is possible due to sun ( they should at least drop it down to 30miles max, I wouldn't be surprised if the person who did the blender add on works for aptera, its really a very nicely done piece of software, I would have to say it looks quite professional. Since there are still lots of assumptions in the model real world range from solar will be lower of course, I'm sticking with somewhere just over 10 miles as a sort of average to expect........in real world.......just my guesstimate ( partly based on the sunswift range estimate from solar).

If I was Aptera, I'd take the Pi and ship it to Pikes Peak at the beginning of summer. High altitude, clear day makes for a perfect situation. It's better to take advantage of no standard while they can. The automotive industry did this in the muscle car days. No standard and thus use best case scenario for your published numbers. Low speed validation, oh they have validated something, it can drive at walking speed. Good to see the validation scheme is coming along nicely, well done aptera. Why they make such a big deal out of something so small, they have a walking speed, half built prototype and this company is claiming full production next year, a complete joke. On the bright side its impressive design work and engineering but still just prototyping, so much is untested I'm guessing if they can stay afloat whilst wasting so much money on a huge empty building, maybe a few years time they will have a completed prototype ready for production. These directors have been living the high life for a long time, and supressing actual data that disputes their claims ( range/efficiency etc), just throwing money down the drain, no efficiency in their spending habits. If you give people money for nothing then what can you expect. It readily seen so many times they are not honest businessmen, so why do people trust them? Its quite baffling to me, seems the fans are looking for excuses now as to why things aren't going well and investment is drying up. I suspect that over time people have become wiser on what this company is really doing, if it looks like a duck, quacks like a duck etc..........its a duck!! Maybe they depend on new gullible people coming into the mix to keep afloat, hence the dependence on media. But I dont think they are any closer to production now than they were back in 2008. They are still puting together prototypes that need to be tested, and since I believe most of their claims will not be verified but will be shown to be false ( they already have data showing the solar range to be false). I think this is just a money grab and money rabbit hole that will never get to production. I know I keep repeating myself but theres nothing I see that changes the situation. They might get some wealthy benefactor but they will have to give up control to some degree in order for that too happen. Since there are so many evs and rooftop solar/batteries are growing, its more likely the roof top solar will be used to charge evs. And it that situation is not really useful having small batteries, larger batteries are just fine that can store alot of energy. Even using the cars battery as storage to assist household is something just around the corner if not already being done by some. I think its just a matter of time now before the directors pull the plug, they will probably try doing something with the solar curved panels, but more likely that will be sold off during bankruptcy. They will of course try hard for IPO, but hopefully the sec will not make that too easy for them, considering its become quite obvious alot of false claims and flat out lies have been told over a very long time period. I guess the directors in a way managed to stay a step ahead of the believing investors, for a long time. But its become pretty obvious this is not false claims and lack of data do not go down well. The Fambro speak tactic of trying to make the mundane and ordinary sound technical and complex has served it purpose, but without honesty underlying that tactic, it falls flat over time. They have probably now gone way to far along the dishonest route to be able to keep the ship afloat. They can probably try to continue crowdfunding and finding new gullibles to get money from, that is basically how they have got this far. But things change over time, people can become better informed and that makes it harder for them to cheat less informed folks. They will always have a following of believers, a perpetual motion machine that never needs to be recharged is the hook, and its a convincing hook until of course someone has one of these cars to test it and finds that the amount of onboard solar will not give 40 miles per day, as they have been claiming. Its probably going to be extremely low and sometimes it might be days between getting any useful charge at all. The best way to go at this time is definitely rooftop solar and a reliable ev with decent battery size if you have your own home. If not there are lots of other options out there now. Walking is an under rated form of transport. ( my personel view only, for entertainment purposes only, not a expert )

Since Aptera is not like Toyota, it takes a back seat and parts take forever to get. Plus all parts come by boat, go through customs (you know how they are to blame too) then put on a truck and have to drive all the way across the US, then unload in a warehouse, loaded onto another truck and then finally delivered to Aptera. I bring this up as it makes sense to just ask questions that are around #1000 on the list of things they need to be concerned about. I think the deposits have to be held in an account and not touched, but can acrue interest of course ( so they make money off them). So deposits should be safe, investments are a different matter. But I think it was c.anthony was describing why they cant go for larger deposits as a way to make money, since by law they cant touch those deposits ( I think they have to be refundable in this companies circumstances). I see some nice fades in the grahics.......nice touch.... I also think its better these guys close up as soon as possible, then less damage is done to investors, but they are very aware of how the system works, and using it to their advantage. They know the legal framework around which they are dancing. But their complete confidence in claiming range/efficiency data and all sorts of other half-truths, and supresssing the actual data they have at their fingertips must be of concern in terms of defrauding investors. If they know their data is wrong but fail to release any new/relevant data, that is supressing data. Even something as simple as supressing airshaper cd value, could be considered fraudulent, as the cd value can be used to predict efficiency. I really hope the sec gets fully involved in this companies claims to investors, even the claims of when production will start, c.anthony said late 2025 recently, but thats not going to happen, its obviously not possible considering the time taken to build one Pi to a half finished state. Just hoping either they will just sell up and let someone honest have a go at it, or just pull the plug, the chance of production with these two guys running the show is pretty much zero in my view. Even if they had more honest/competent people running it, the outcome might still be the same, and probably would be the same. I just dont think the business model is conducive to production, it is conducive to making alot of money in a short period of time, but production although talked about alot, is really not part of the model to make money here. The money is being made and spent, and no production is necessary for that too occur. Only the 'apperance' of heading towards produciton is needed. I also note munro in his video on them said in front of both directors, 'no need to charge' or some such, they did not correct him, thats their narrative many times and they see no need to correct the false statement. They have already done this once, and it is not my view; it's a fact. The lack of money was a cop-out lie, and the truth is the product was not fit for purpose when they folded. It is still not fit for purpose almost 20 years after they began the scam. Is it wrong for me to try to help the idiots just by giving my opinion? The Viking is wrong. Whether he is intentional or plain stupid is undecided, and I really don't care which it is. Wrong is wrong, regardless. I have made a video in my early days about him being shady about reviewing some EV's, and when he did the Aptera visit I made another. Anyone is welcome to argue the toss about my reviews, and that goes for reviews of anyone I care to highlight. just a cursory glance at smc carbon fibre strength compared to standard long strand carbon fibre ( bundles of strands are called tow). Just using wikipedia. Tensile strength: Toray brand long fibre: 4,000mpa compare with 55-125mpa for smc chopped strand variety ( i.e. aptera), thats a massive loss of tensile strength. Going a step further: comparing the compressive strength compared to tensile strength of smc chopped strand: the compressive strength is higher than the tensile strength! Carbon fibre is used due to its high tensile strength, it has relatively low compressive strength. But chopped strand carbon fibre is even worse.........I think this is quite worrying, using carbon fibre people are assuming its the best material for the job but this is a version of carbon fibre that has basically lost its tensile strength, the very thing carbon fibre is know for..........seems aptera has done it again.........looks good, sounds good, but when you look into it just a little bit deeper it all falls apart. It also explains why they need to add a role cage, this form of carbon fibre is not like weaved carbon fibre tow, so the roof strength has turned out to be alot weaker than expected. At one stage they were saying its the strongest roof or some such thing, but seems that was not true either. ( my personel view only, for entertainment purposes only, not a expert )

I also noticed many Tesla's using non-Tesla chargers and forcing we plebs to wait. For anyone interested; take a look at the map and work out how bad it is for non-Tesla charging. The Mount Larkam charger is broken with no alternatives. Then Rockhampton is broken, but you have that 7kW charger at one motel (it advertised as being 22kW), and I discovered a shopping centre has two 7kW Tesla chargers for free that even a BYD can use (9 hours to charge); then the next stop at Marlborough is broken with no alternatives. There is virtually nothing between Miriam Vale and Carmila (418kms, or 250+ miles) and most EV's can't get that far. Of course, all the glowing government sites rave about how they have created an EV super highway in Queensland, lol. I would hate to try going inland. In addition to that, they talk down to their fans and make the same claims over and over again. Using that method allows for crowdfunding to work but rarely works for institutional investors. Thus, why only $400K out of the $60M in convertible notes have been raised. Thus why they just released more shares to try to raise $15M and they decided to raise the PPS by $4 to now $14.50. Elio, exhausted crowdfunding. Then did Reg A+. After that they were done. It was obvious because they planned to do another IPO on NASDAQ which was to raise $100M. That never worked because Paul claimed on his last interview ever, "The markets are broken." So, it's easier to blame someone else on your failures. Then it was the Eliocoin and that failed as it made zero sense on what he was doing there.

Otherwise its just going to keep going probably until some short time after IPO ( seems to be the pattern with other similar startups, and assuming they make IPO) I think they will just keep the money machine ticking over as long as possible, if they can find a way to raise money they will just keep going, and the investors will just keep hanging on until the inevitable bankruptcy. Perhaps the change in govt will open some opportunities but the chances are very slim of any production at any stage in this. He said overall there was about 20% loss from solar panel to batteries using mppt and dc/dc converter........anyhow theres quite a loss involved, your not getting what comes out of the solar cells into range at 100%, needs to take off 20% power produced into what goes into distance travelled....if that makes sense. So it does from dc to ac ( solar panels to charging voltage), then the car converts the ac charge into dc for batteries. How aptera will go about charging their batteries will have to be similar process as the solar voltage needs to be adjusted to suit the batteries voltage. I'm not exactly sure how aptera will do it but we have a ball figure of the maximum losses will look like. So with aptera: lets assume 700watt is possible ( I dont think it is) then take away 20% and you get 560watts going into the batteries. I think aptera solar might only get 640watts peak, so in that case after losses it would be 512 watts into the batteries. This is one reason why aptera using 700watts to calculate range is an over-estimate and I suspect why they dont give an real world test data, as it will be alot lower than they estimate even on the best days.

Dont worry too much aussie about your looking at the data, he mentioned just one solar panel that is 100watts, on the best days he could get 700wh. That would be 100% sunny day with no shade and location of course would effect power available. But you could say if the sun was out for 7 hrs on that day ( no clouds) and the panel put out 100watts constantly over every hour, that would be 700whr in total ( just times wattsxhrs). But he had 64 of the solar panels each doing the same thing. I haven't looked at the numbers or what he did in any detail, but I will do its interesting experiment, funny this is the exact thing that aptera should have done before they started asking for money!!! See exactly what range they can get, interestingly at one stage he had 4 days of basically no sun, and if you were in an aptera..........well you would be stuck for 4 days , probably longer as you need to charge up when the sun comes out, all of this sort of stuff they have never looked into. Aptera is not first attempt at solar, Joe seems to be not aware of the other attempts. Regarding temp control in ice cars, they can keep the temp in a set range very effectively. And its not a huge range they have to work with, its quite amazing how effective it is. What alot of people dont know is that your temp gauge is not showing you the actual temperature, the software is used to direct where the needle sits. Older cars of course the temp gauge is simply true temperature.

So I decide to challenge him on just one of his responses about solar range, I said that nrel data doesn't apply to aptera as the cells are curved. He dismissed this and I ask him to say where he got his information from, in reply he deleted my post!! ( i actually thought when i put up my reply, will he just delete my post and not have to answer where he got his info, which was.......from the fairies and unicorns. Yup thats pragmatic, no hang on thats the opposite of pragmatic......ignore the facts. Interesting way to have a debate, he seems intelligent guy but to just dismiss the facts because they dont suit your narrative. But then again he is aptera salesman so he has to do these things I guess. I was actually intereted to see how he would argue against the points, one argument he put up for efficiency of 10miles/kwh was that he has an ev that can get 6 to 7 miles/kwh, then it is easy for aptera to get 10 miles/kwh. Thats not pragmatic, there are no facts to look at, aptera has none to offer apart from predictions based on irrelevant past models from early 2000s. He has similar argument for cd, if his car can get 6to 7 miles/kwh then its easy for aptera to get 10miles/kwh since its more aerodynamic. The argument is based on dreams nothing based on reality. Anyhow it was in his best interest to just delete my information since it doesn't align with his 'pragmatic' approach to aptera.

I think the 10miles/kwh comes from 300-350mpge for an early aptera way way back in the early 2,000s, but I have a feeling that was for a diesel/hybrid version, I'm not exactly sure on that, I have seen videos where aptera mk1 bring up the 300-350mpge value in interviews. If they are using this as a basis for their claim of 10miles/kwh, its completely non-sensical ( is that a word?), its like comparing chalk and cheese, old aptera/new aptera are two different things completely. I guess the similarity in shape is one thing that remains, but unfortunately current aptera dont hold the design patent on that, so there's trouble even at the most basic level in aptera. For me its like winning the trifecta we now have good evidence that each major claim is false and new data that doesn't support their claims is suppressed: 1. cd aero : never tested and data supressed, relies on old cfd sim of playdo model then rendered 2. efficiency: based on diesel hybrid version of aptera mk1 of 350mpge, irrelevant to current model 3. solar range: based on over inflated un-achievable predictions, data supressed that dosn't support the claim. Nrel data not relevant due to panels being curved and vehicle not stationary. Sorry to rehash these three points, but these are the three things that underpin apteras ability to get investors, and they are all false, and any data that doesn't support it has been supressed. If I repeat it, occasionally the chances of someone linked to sec or an investor realising they have been taken for a ride ( and not a solar ride) will read it and take some action. Funny their theme : " every journey driven by the sun" is even a false statement, I'm not sure if they have even done a journey driven by the sun ( maybe to the local shops and back thats about it) ( my personel view only, for entertainment purposes only, not a expert )

Non power drum brakes, lap belts (which I changed out to three point around 1980) no headrests, no side bars in the doors and legs dangling in front of the front wheels. Plus, people don't remember that cars used to catch on fire all of the time. Remember those perpetual tire fires. One north of us kept burning for three years. now we know how to stack them, grind them up and do something with the waste.

I think the sec would have a good case against aptera directors , just based on the falsified data: 1. cd ( aerodynamic efficiency): never tested ( even though its only $500usd/hr to test in usa), recent simulations data has been supressed. 2. efficiency: miles/kwh Real data never released or suppressed for many years now even though instantaneous data on the dash via crank software . Relying on predictive data for aptera mk1 ( 2008?)which was petrol/hybrid and not even electric . Converting 300mpge for aptera mk1 to approx 10 miles/kwh for a different vehicle 3. solar range: actual numbers suppressed or never released even though instantaneous data available via dash display, still reliant on predicted values that just happen to give a solar approx same as the average distance driven in usa some years ago.

So I've sort of crystallised what would be a solid basis for SEC to do a fraud case against aptera. Its taken some time to work it out, but it appears now that they are continuing to use data that was conducive to get investors and still using those values. The real values they have had for many years now ( crank software who designed the displaly on the dash was really early in the aptera 2 conception. I think it would be extremely easy to argue that aptera has suppressed actual data in order to gain financially from gullible investors who are largely non-technical crowd fund sources via the internet. Come on SEC I've done all the homework for you, get moving on these guys before IPO.

@@namenotshown9277 - Then Paul Moller and Paul Elio would be investigated too. Same for Mark Frohmeyer. Yet nothing. Aptera can keep making claims. Paul Elio said, "Half the width, double the mileage." Never been proven and zero data, yet it was true to the superfans. Paul Moller made hundreds of claims and yet none ever turned out. Mark Frohmeyer had in his SEC filing for the extended battery pack, full hard enclosure and HVAC. Never happened and the next CEO said they were going to have to redesign the vehicle to make at least the full hard enclosure happen. So FUV sold the idea of that and come to find out, it was to need to be redesigned. Even many customers that ordered and paid for half doors, never got them. Aptera right now are saints and never will be gone after by anyone. It's the new reality we live in. Even Paul Elio was on national TV and when asked, "Will customers get their Elios in 2018." He said, "Yes." So if that's not enough to go after him, then Aptera is completely safe.

@@billsmith5960 Perhaps you are right, but these guys are insistent on using old fabricated ( sorry predictive) data and never changing it even though they have it at their finger tips, and literally staring them in the face on the dash display, even shown accidentally in many videos ( hence why I keep bringing it up). If thats not enough I dont know what is. It was mentioned in the last sec filing that sec has asked aptera to keep copies of some documents......not sure exactly what paperwork.......but that is promising that they might do at least a rudimentary investigation. Anyhow whatever happens, I have to say its an impressive build in my eyes, it has lots of questionable areas of concern, but it is quite an achievement to get as far as they have. Perhaps bending the truth ( or even just fabricatng it) is just a part of many businesses and always will be. Its certainly entertaining. I have a feeling your correct though.
