      May be true, but it's also 2024, not 1980, the days of piles of physical paperwork are pretty much done. Everything is digital. I'd say it would be more suspicious if he did have a bunch of random papers laid out. Also possible that's not even his office, he may work from home most of the time and they just wanted him there for the stream to answer questions. It's all speculation, can't just latch on to irrelevant details to fit your narrative lol.

    My random thoughts on the video:
    1. Steve/AOC is learning from one of the best (Chris Anthony) in how to say many words without actually passing along any knowledge.
    2. Who is CFO Tom and how long has he been with Aptera? He certainly isn't listed at this time on the website. I didn't see the name Tom in any of the SEC filings. They do have 30 full-time employees and 26 part-time employees as of 2024/06/20.
    3. Projections of how many vehicles they could sell is meaningless if they can't even build one silly PI trike since April.
    4. Blake has a little dog. Whatever.
    5. They have no useful news for us regarding USCG other than give it two months.
    6. Steve/AOC has so far avoided responding to all comments about the flatbed truck following the Alpha trike. His last video was on Maxeon's financial condition, so it remains to be seen if he returns to the livestream video for additional comments.
    Other things on my mind:
    1. According to their latest annual report Aptera's income for the previous year is -54,606,000.00. The previous year's income was -82,728,000.00. How will 6000 vehicles put them in positive cashflow?
    2. Aptera's lease for the warehouse expires in late 2026.
    3. It remains to be seen if a 77,000 sq. ft. facility is capable of assembling 20,000 vehicles per year. What will their quality be? How many of the pre-orders become actual sales?
    4. Assuming this company goes public with an IPO launch, will this company ever turn a profit or will it be another NASDAQ pump and dump stock?
    5. After watching this company flounder around for multiple years, I'm just here for the train wreck to come as they attempt going into production.

      The business model is not to go into production, the way it works is you promise production will happen, and raise huge sums of money for that promise. Once you go into production the business model falls apart.

      I have heard this before, but I don't know who originally said it or even if it is true. An observation I have is the wheel covers set so close to the wheel that it certainly limits the range of tire sizes. They probably can't fit snow tires in there. Deep snow would be an issue as well with the covers over the wheels.

      @@JoeBManco It's speculation until it's tested on the PI's, but don't hang your hat on that happening. Hub motors can be sufficiently cooled if the radiator sending the coolant to them is as normal as most cars have, but Aptera doesn't have a proper radiator, so they will likely fry (but the batteries will fry first). There is insufficient opening directly facing the direction of motion on Aptera. It amounts to none at all. The only place air can enter is past the wipers - a backward turn, and the wind tunnel video shows none goes down there.

    Blake and Chris have really bad body language. They both look very nervous. At least Steve comes across as more confident. So they got that going for them.
    At least we know that in 4 weeks, the money comes flowing in. I'm really looking forward to August with the driving Pi's, big money and today is when they release the mid year crash data. @@bluetoad2668 Anyone who can think for a few seconds can see through the carbon fiber and airbags excuse. What I'm about to say will come as no surprise to you. F1 cars and this trike is not an apples to apples comparison. Air bags will never be as good as a 5-point restraint coupled with head and neck restraints. Finally F1 cars have roll cages. They're not relying on carbon fiber to protect the driver. For F1 the advantage of carbon fiber is shape and weight.

    Couple of notes. Chris's comment about sarbane oxley compliance is odd because Aptera notes in their filing that as long as they remain under 1 billion in revenue they will not be subject to sarbane oxley compliance. In other words he is just saying big words to sound impressive when he knows its not true. Tom, the supposed CFO, is not listed in any recent filing and only Chris is listed as CFO.
    6000 a year is 500 a month. They burn almost three million a month producing nothing. That would require $6000 profit per vehicle for a company that produces nothing at all. So it is not hard to understand their costs will easily double if not triple which pushes that profit requirement up as well. Aptera fans just ignore math because it is not convenient.
    I see zero chance for the ATVM loan because in the last decade no money has gone to building cars. All loans have gone to fund the production of components needed to support EV production namely battery plants and semi conductors.

    • @JoeBManco
      @JoeBManco 4 месяца назад

      I would love to see an actual cost breakdown of the $35K they expect for their initial customer vehicles. How much of that cost is vendor parts? How much is freight? How much is assembly labor and overhead?
      Burning through three million per month checks out based on last year's loss of 55 million. The previous year's loss of 83 million must have included money spent on tooling, building Gamma, and whatever testing they did with it and Beta. They are going to burn through many millions more in the coming months, should they actually build 10 PI vehicles. The 4.8 million they raised during June only buys them enough time for the USCG money to roll in. The 65 million they seek from USCG only would help buy them another year of existence. It isn't enough money to pay vendors to send them parts or pay for factory tooling to build customer vehicles.

    • @artsmith103

      @@JoeBManco Important $values. The problem is USCG (not the Coast Guard!) are pros and will not buy into obvious deadend. I don't see the owners chosing liability for business loan unless they plan to use IP as collateral and walk away when there isn't another month of $200K/yr salary available.
      They don't know how to build the trike they market and the market will not be willing to pay true price. Arcimoto is their path and they are less competent than Arcimoto.

    • @JoeBManco
      @JoeBManco 4 месяца назад

      @@artsmith103 I am having a hard time seeing how their IP has much collateral value. One patent is for the shape of the vehicle. All another vehicle company has to do is make their shape different dimensionally and that problem is solved. The second patent is for belly skin cooling that doesn't work. The third patent is turning the solar cells 45 degrees, which is only helpful when used with the fourth patent, the laminated glass process. They have other pending patents, that might be more valuable, but I don't know what they are. I suspect those patents are about the shape of lights, software widgets, the knock-knock latch design, wheel cover design, and the like.
      I suspect if this trike ever does make it to production, they won't be able to make it profitable. There will be many production delays as they wait for parts and training assembly mechanics won't go according to plan. They may not even build the nearly 1000 vehicles that Arcimoto made.
