Best instruction channel out there, I am a bit "long in the tooth" to compete but implement your techniques in my daily rides! Looking forward to going to enduro cross events this next year (spectator) when they hit the PNW, thanks much and keep it up
Love your channel Rich! Your advice is always in my head on my rides, learned a lot! What tire do you recommend for slick nasty NW Oregon single track with lots of roots?
6:18 Gives gap ideas, as well as earlier where he talks about the comparison between wheel base , longer and shorter than. He also mentions at 6:18 3', 4', and 5' gaps , which I interpret to mean the distance between the logs not center to center. In other words, the distance for most matrixes' is not really standardized, they mix them up, presumably to increase the challenge aspect, and allow people to really fk up from time to time (ergo; crash and burn). Edit; freeze frame 6:29 , axles centered atop two logs which where he states; a 4' gap, since his wheel base is 58'' or very near that , this would mean that, yes, he's talking about distance between the logs not center to center.
Best way to try it if you don’t have access to a track…beat your bike all over with a sledge hammer and then hurl yourself down a flight of stairs. Repeat until bike, body, spirit, and/or wallet can no longer continue.

Incredible information. I feel confidant in my ability to at least try it. ...now if only I had a log matrix close by. Thanks for posting!
As always great break down! Looking forward to the new series of videos. Keep it going!
Thanks! Will do!
Brilliant show...
Excellently thorough video, Rich 🔥
Now can you explain how we ride through the matrix like Billy Bolt jumping or back tire tapping every log? 😂
For sure master it this way first... That being said.. Billy does things a ways beyond my expertise!
Step one - be 6'5"

Depends, But id recommend the IX09W Gekkota if its really gnar! JX8 if you want a little more stability in the carcass.
Thanks Bud, huge thanks for sharing your secrets 🤙
No problem 👍 Thanks for watching!
I'm curious what the heck that "ski ramp" in the background is used for. Great channel!
Mountain bike roll in.
Thanks for the video
I'm NOT READY
Video came out great and very informative
Thanks brotha
Awesome video as always !
How do you like the Beta ?
I'm loving it! Full review coming soon!
I plan on building a log matrix at my place. Any suggestions on build? Distance between logs? Number of logs?

Does Utah have an enduro cross track? I really want to try it out. I live in Orem

Not really these are all private for the most part. I'm debating talking to Jordan river and building one.
LOL
I heard somewhere on the net matrix was invented by sadistic bastards ;)
Let get the pivot turn down first before I take on the Matrix ...LOL
I think we've done a few videos on that! Thanks for watching.
