These gentlemen brought so much joy in my life. That autumn feel remains. Their old stuff, their new stuff. Everything gives me this strange autumn experience. Love the autumn😜....
Mikael Akerfeldt write pretty much everything on pretty much every Opeth album :P He present the full demos of the songs to the band and guide them towards the sound he wants while allowing them a certain degree of liberty when recording from what I've read in interviews.
Mikael composes everything, even drum parts, he creates a demo with guitars bass and virtual instruments for all the other stuff, the he goes in studio, he takes some inputs from all the other members but it's all mainly written by him.
People that are metal fans and not Opeth fans. Real Opeth fans have stuck with this band. I love their old stuff but their newer albums are just as good with some tracks far exceeding anything they've written before
What I greatly respect about your channel is that you listen to the songs/bands others wouldn't even touch. I would also highly recommend Faith In Others from this record.
Music masters. I loved. btw. I am currently listening to this album "Pale Communion" for the 296th time and I am still discovering something new in it ... :)
in my opinion this album is leaps and bound beyond everything they have done during the "new era opeth" , i know in cauda venenum gets that praise most of the time , but this album is truly undervalued i feel.
@@jamescopeland1795 I'm pretty sure most people feel that way XD Thus it's not underrated. I think all of their albums since Still Life are masterpieces. The truly underrated album is Heritage. What a work of art.
Also guys, with much respect for what you are doing - I didn't see Agalloch, My Dying Bride and Neurosis in your list. These are great bands, some would say cult bands, and I would definitely enjoy you checking them out. You would enjoy as well, I think, lol.
I just read today that Mikael is actually composing a soundtrack for some Netflix series:)
Really? Which one?
@@gabifromhell As a long time soundtrack music fan I'm really looking forward to it.
Well, tried to post it twice, but looks like some youtube policy for posting links. Search for Netflix 'Clark'.
@@jonkwape3097 thanks
7:28 Suzie's face when he interrupted the solo 😂

Another great song from Opeth, already three decades one of the best progmetal bands in the music world.

DONT EVER PAUSE IN THE MIDDLE OF SOLO PLEASE
You should definitely listen to the Next of Kin or Lovelorn Crime from the new album if you love his clean vocals!
A prog masterpiece. Who said opeth died after watershed? Their new album is fire as well.

Faith in others, eternal rains will come and this song are the best off of that album.
Fun fact, Steven Wilson(the main songwriter/singer for Porcupine Tree) mixed this album
He did Damnation and Deliverance. I don’t think he did this one.
@@chriscoote2690 he did, he also mixed heritage. You can google it.
@@jacksonthetaco165 Ah, you are right...cool didn’t know that. No wonder it sounds so good.

@@Taunic my least favourite Opeth is Sorceress, but in Cauda Venenum and Pale Communion share the first.
@@LoisoPondohva Yeah I wasn't the biggest fan of Sorceress either. There are some good songs in there though.
Mikael writes almost everything in Opeth
While you're doin a shoutout for the quality of the mix, as my buddy Mr. Moore noted. That's Steven Wilson another genius you've yet to encounter.
They've encountered him allright
Opeth writes the coolest riffs in prog

they have a song in the God Of War III soundtrack named "the throath of winter"
you have to react to Opeth the River
21st Century medieval metal bards.
Laurentian Ghost by After the Burial
Grear reaction
You have to do Black Rose Immortal!!!
Opeth - Lovelorn Crime :)
