Obviously none of those guys played Soccer. Pretty sure I could hit the 30 yarder even though I've never kicked a football just from knowing how to kick a ball properly. Keep in mind it would be WAY harder to kick a 30 yarder in a real game with a defense trying to block, so your arc would have to be steeper. It's also easier to kick when another guy isn't holding the ball. Not saying I'm exceptional or anything but yeah, it isn't that hard if you can actually use your feet.
But, ummm... These people... You know, kinda trained their whole life to kick a ball between two uprights, whilst these people have no prior experience.
ESPN made the mistake that a lot of media companies are waking up to; they believed that a person's following on social media would actually translate into a following for the network. There have actually been stories written, questioning why ESPN pays her so much. By the same logic, sports broadcasters and analysts should not criticize any players ever unless they can do what the players failed to. Surprise, surprise. They can't kick a FG when they don't have an incentive to know how.
The next time I hear a sports broadcaster say, on the air, that they could have done what a trained athlete on the field failed to do, it will be the first time.

This could’ve been funny if she wasn’t so obnoxious and made them feel bad. Those kickers train for years and often get scholarships to make those kicks, so they have every right to be pissed if their kicker misses a 30 yard kick.

Point of the video is, they said "I COULD'VE made that kick". Meaning if they were in the place of the kicker in-game, they will make it. Doesn't matter if they do it professionally or train to do it. If they said they could make it, then they should if they were given a chance. Thus the video proving them wrong.
its not like cleats wouldve made a difference here. you can tell neither one of them has ever kicked a ball before because they all try to kick with their toes. no chance

I kicked for my rugby team and played, back then I could make a 35yd kick with a rugby ball. I then moved back to the states and tried to be a kicker for my HS football team and found that a football is like kicking a rock. I could not get that thing between the posts from 15yrds out. If you have never tried, you have NO idea how hard it is to kick that thing. here is a classic example of what it is like
As a 7th grade kicker seeing all these kickers nowadays miss a lot really gives me hope that I have a future at it I’m already consistent at 20-25 yds so if I get more powerful I like my chances

Jordan Phillips The reason why kickers can boot kickoffs is because they can take however many steps they want and don’t have to worry about getting the kick off before it gets blocked and over a charging D-line
Coming from a punter and kicker, for me punting is easier than kicking, there are a lot more variables to kicking a ball than you think. First off the sweet spot of the ball is very small, I'm talking less than an inch in diameter, it's also about 2 inches off the ground without a tee, kicking off a tee is easier because it raises the sweet spot higher off the ground making is easier to hit. They probably used a tee because they didn't want to see any of these guys break someone's hand or finger, and they made it easier for them to hit the sweet spot by using the tee.
Yeah, i hate it when people say "don't say hes bad if you cant be better than him." Because if Nathan Peterman throws 5 picks in a half, and i say he's trash, he is. I couldn't do better than him, but he is clearly trash.
If this is the case, I don't want any athlete complaining that I brought their food late or that their food is under cooked. I guarantee athletes complain 10x more than a regular person does. @@triplemoyagames4195 You usually have a flat kicking tee and someone or a football kicking stand to hold the ball down.

Dont wanna miss the ball and kick someone that's probs why they used the tees lol
It's also easier to kick off a tee. That's why you see some kickers send kickoffs theough the end zone and have trouble kicking 50+ field goals
They probably used a tee because they didn't want to see any of these guys break someone's hand or finger, and they made it easier for them to hit the sweet spot by using the tee.

its called exaggerating... When they say they could make that kick its like saying my grandmother could throw better. Its just a expression that exaggerates the situation. They don't seriously think they could make the kick or their grandmother could make the throw that is ridiculous. They are simply saying you have to make that. The point of those tweets is that these kickers need to make their kicks. Obviously parkey missed 2 no fault of his own as the ball was tipped but in a bunch of these other games if someone on ur favorite team or a team you have money on misses a easy kick people are going to flame up. That's just human nature. Getting angry at these people is idiotic. Its not like they said anything evil >.> They simply criticized a bad play.
This is hilarious😂😂 everyone talks the talk until it comes time to walk the walk and they realize they can’t do both
