I do think they should give them warmup kicks. If this is like those sponsored basketball halftime shooting challenges, there’s probably something in the language of the agreement that states anyone who played up to a certain level of the sport is ineligible for prizes. If that’s the case, no random person will have much of a chance at all of kicking a football straight the first time.
Now Pat gets to deduct it from his Taxes. Win win for everyone

Pat saw that 1st kick and that’s why he gave him another shot. Pat is one of the richest most humble guys in the world. FYI his wife also runs Fur The Brand that helps pay for vet medical bills if your dog has cancer. Just a great family overall.

This is by far my favorite part of game day. The 2nd chance down to 30 was classic. And good on Herb for holding. One of these days he’s taking a knee to the face and then it’s the interns job but until then, fantastic.

Soccer players can kick field goals pretty well. One of my buddies in high school was a varsity soccer player as a freshman and was able to hit from 40-45. Unfortunately, kicking in games is completely different and he only hit at about 60%.
It's one thing to kick for distance, it's another thing to have to kick it straight and get it above a certain launch angle to get it over the line.
yeo completely dif when you have to kick it over the hands of people over 6 feet tall, running at you, and basically having a time limit

I'll take that challenge. 36 year old veteran. Size of an NFL lineman. Never kicked in school. Taught kids how to kick and had 4 kids in pop warner kick an extra point in one game.

Yeah, good soccer players can do this. My son played high level soccer and could hit from 35-40 range when he was 12. Random people, though - no chance. Myself included. I have tried kicking FGs a few times. It's a lot harder than it looks.
That kick would’ve been blocked easily.
@jamescooper3324 second one he actually got good lift on. but yes, they are doing this without a rush, the hold is perfect because there's no snap, and his approach doesn't have to be timed with the snap and hold. still obviously much easier than kicking in a game.
tbh you could teach most people who have decent level of athleticism how to make them with a month or 2 of training. Kicking like that is actually all about technique. Most people kick too upright and don't know hot to shift their weight on to the plant leg while kicking the leg across the body. That's all it really is.
