I recently got it on the summer sale. And now I am hooked. I have never gotten into any Street Fighter games before because I am 17. The only one I have played before is Street Fighter on the 3ds but didnt like it much because of being on 3ds
Just got the game on Switch and had been playing with the Pro Controller. I was hoping you'd make a video with the Hori Arcade Stick and glad you did. It's definitely better to play with the Pro Controller vs the Joy Cons but I got so used to playing these games at the arcade that I'll need an arcade stick to really enjoy it.

Now they need to bring out a collection with EX and Pocket Fighter.
Sadly EX belongs to Arika, thank God I hacked my Vita and created a Stick for it, is Almost imposible to play it without it.
At least the pocket fighter game should be on that collection as a special unlockable or something!

The original Street Fighter 2 was such a revolution. People give it stick now because it's slow, but if you were a gamer at the time compared to other games this was so far ahead it was unbelievable.
I remember playing this in the local fish & chips shop, like was common at the time in UK. 10p a go, dad would give me £1 and I'd be in there for ages ^_^ There were always load of rough people in there lol I remember one time hiding heroin in my hat for one of them O.o
Man, I wonder where all those arcade cabs ended up? A lot probably just got scrapped which breaks my heart, I'd love an ST arcade cab :(
Then I got it for the Amiga lol Use to play it on a Sega Master System pad that had TWO buttons! ^_^ God it was so bad looking back, but I still loved it. Hard punch and hard kick were all I needed to have fun with it. But yeah when you look back at the Amiga port it was TERRIBLE lol

Wish I had play the original first but my beginning with Street Fighter was Hyper Fighting and the SNES port. After those any version of Street Fighter that plays slower than Hyper Fighting I could never go back to.
Yeah going back to slow does feel awful, people were not happy when Super Street Fighter: The New Challengers came out and it went back to being slow

ST on 30th Anniversary basically has the V1 roms, which had a bug that maxed difficulty no matter what the settings.

Sf1 was supposed to have title music and say street fighter when it came up also ryu was going to have a fourth move and it was going to be more polished but it didn't get finished

If you don't mind doing a bit of (dis)assembly, there's already an aftermarket joycon housing/shell that replaces the buttons with a d-pad.
How does it feel when you play 2-player mode where each player uses one joycon? That’s the main reason I’d want the Switch version, so I can play my friends in SF at like Starbucks or something.

I may be a minority here, but I mainly bought this collection for New Generation and 2nd impact.
less common for sure! but in fact double impact was my first experience with SF3 so who knows maybe I'll feel more nostalgic for the first two games too :)
The reason is because I've waited for YEARS for New Generation and 2nd Impact to be ported outside the Dreamcast and Capcom finally made it happen. The fact that I can also play those two games on the go is a nice touch. As much as I prefer 3rd Strike's gameplay, theres just something special about Double Impact that makes me want to keep going back into it. From the backgrounds, the music, the voice acting, and the overall aesthetics of the two games. :)
Honestly same, and I'm glad they kept the widescreen option for 2nd Impact

Tristan D I mainly wanted to try the alpha series, but yeah a huge reason I buyed it was because ALL of the Street Fighter 3 saga was in there, those are some great dope games man. You cant escape!

I have this game on Steam, and I absolutely love it
I bought this last year for Super Turbo and Alpha 3 alone. Didnt realise they were arcade roms at the time. So, Super Turbo is glitched with being set on the highest difficulty (regardless of settings) and that Alpha 3 does not have World Tour mode or extra fighters like Guile etc. A huge dealbreaker for me. Havent played it since.
I like alpha easy to play and the combos are like target combos but way smoother 😎
I use my PS4 Hori arcade stick to play on the Switch. I just use a brook converter and there is no input lag.
Love my brook converter. Saved me $100 from getting a Switch hour rap stick
Super SF2 Turbo has always been difficult to play even at the lowest difficulty and the amount of damage you receive from the CPU... My word don't me started
7 year old me beat it on max turbo and high difficulty

Tried Fatal Fury on the Switch and the arrow buttons aren't as uncomfortable as I thought they would be. I would still prefer a d-pad but fighting games are still do able with the stock Switch joycons.
NihongerGamer the older games have less input leniency for example the shoryuken has to be executed properly unlike SFIV and SFV which lets you off if your input is not exact.

Everyone was gaga for this collection, yet it failed to give players Street Fighter Alpha 2 Gold, and Street Fighter Alpha 3 Upper.

I remember seeing your video when you first got your Hori Arcade stick, and when I remembered this anniversary collection was coming out, I immediately thought of your video and was hoping you made a video with both your arcade stick and this game, and what do you know, here it is! I wanted to start playing some street fighter, I only messed around a bit on SF2 in the old days, and SF4 a few years ago and never had an arcade stick though. Would you say it's worth getting this arcade stick just for this anniversary collection?

There a few options. Picture border, plain black border and stretch which makes it full screen

I just picked up a switch and this game and plan to get this fight stick and mortal kombat 11 as well.
Someone needs to make a fight stick for switch with a power bank and a dock built into it. It seems like an awesome but incredibly niche idea though.
i want this game actually, cause i play a lot of smash, blazblue, xenoverse 2, pokken tournament and more but i think i might wait for the next BIG Street fighter game on switch. Such as Street Fighter 5. I really want that on switch. But sure, i will be really happy if they made Street Fighter 6, and comes to PS4, Switch and PC. The fact that why i would wait for the next BIG Street fighter game is because i know i wouldnt enjoy the 30th anniversary edtion a lot. I bought many old games on such as virtual console. But i played them for maybe an hour and that was it. But i will still give the 30Tth anniversary edition a try!
1. This giant controller should have a switch holder so you don't have to pass the wire through a leather thing, but I don't know if you can do such a mod. Given that you are using the switch battery while playing like that, that controller along with the switch you can carry with you if you want to and possibly play while on the train and going longer distances on train.
2. I highly suggest you give those martial arts sports a try, I don't think they should really hurt you unless you were going crazy with them. You can still practice your musical instruments even after participating in those sports, they should not really injure your fingers in any way.

alpha 1 is the best combos, crouching jab,jab,short,mid kick, lv.3 super will stick. love this game...

I just couldn’t play with the joycons or the pro pad. Managed to pick up a Mayflash F300 arcade fight stick for £40. Now I can finally play with decent controls.
Can you do a video where you explain or demonstrate or both the motions for the characters on the joystick with the camera angle that would allow someone to understand the motion better
If you plan to play this kind of games on the go you NEED the hori fighting joycon (also dead cheap)

the special moves for sf1 are based off the release of the button , not initially pushing it. its beyond stupid but idfk

Can you use the joy con joystick? I actually use that in the ultra streetfighter 2 and it’s quite good. So I just wanted to see if it’s possible that you can use that on this version as I only saw you using the direction buttons please let me know
Yep you can use the joy con joystick too.
I always carry my gba micro with steet fighter alpha 3, the game is not totaly accurate but this is the best way to play it on the go.
I have the real arcade pro 4 kai for my ps4.
Its honestly just so much better than the razer stick i first got. i love it and its the best.
And im currently customizing it more so thats great!

Z80 Player Yes it does, Capcom confirmed this, it the only game on the collection which has real wide screen support..
these are ARCADE roms however you FORGOT to do one single thing. do ANY of the glitches like guile's handcuffs and shadow throw work in sf2 world warrior??? that was such a big letdown. all you had to do was do a sonic boom while doing his upside down kick. easy test.
I like the setup but honestly i would prefer a larger screen when sitting at that distance.. at least 10 or 12 inches..

You should try the game Garou Mark of the Wolves it is a Great Nintendo Switch fighting game from SNK Its damn near flawless as a fighting game tbh :P

Why do people turn off the arcade filter? That's what it looks like on a CRT minotor with scan lines and looks great. It looks ugly as hell with bare pixels.

I was gonna do the same but then the joy cons and the pro controller are sbitty when it comes to fighting games. I was getting my ass kicked because the joy cons kept makeing me jump when i try to pull off a move. So i rather just get it on the xbox

I don't understand why these games don't take up the entire switch screen, they are supposed to be all the original arcade versions of the games, I don't need to see the arcade cabinet.
The arcade versions were all 4:3 screen shape except for 2nd Impact

I actually favour pads over arcade sticks for fighting games, but I would think that in this case the analog stick would play better than the "d-pad" since it's not even a real d-pad!
