Now Capcom just needs to re-release of all the older Marvel related 2d fighting games together: X-men, Marvel Super Heroes, X-men Vs SF, Marvel Super Heroes vs SF, Marvel vs Capcom, Marvel vs Capcom 2.
Excalibur82 I've spent many a quarter playing this damn game when it came out. especially trying to get cheesy players off the machine for abusing throws/hadoukens
That was golden age of video games being in the arcade and fighting people from your neighborhood. I had build up a name for my self at the local chinese store in brooklyn. I'm getting this game. Alpha 3 and Third strike was my joint.
They have it on Xbox 360 and ps3 is really should come too switch or new consoles. I think a Remastered collection of the original 3 or 4 would be cool.
This collection is amazing. As a kid that was 10 years old back when SF2 first hit the arcade, this is the greatest tribute I've seen to this epic franchise.
TheHayduken1 emulation input lag is dreadful for games like this at a prolevel. Also if you bought an arcade stick for your Switch (Hori Hayabusa) or if you want to play those old games online, then yes it's absolutely worth it for fans of the genre.
The only good defense I heard was that Legacy Collection 1 and 2 were handled by differen studios; 1 was handled by Digital Eclipse, while 2 was instead handled by Capcom in-house. Still doesn't excuse not putting up a menu to pick one of two for the game to run, nor does it excuse not bothering to even give them their own cartridges.
This is an awesome collection. I hope Capcom would make another collection including X-Men: Children of the Atom, Marvel Super Heroes, X-Men vs Street Fighter, Marvel Super Heroes vs Street Fighter, and Marvel vs Capcom 1 and 2. A Capcom vs SNK collection would be awesome too.
I know this is from 5 years ago but I love Street Fighter 2 especially so this compilation is like heaven to me, especially the extras such as the museum mode.
I’ve been playing Street Fighter since 1992. This is a great compilation, but the difficulty seems ramped up higher than any version I have ever played, and I have played the arcade versions and manY, MANY different console versions.
I've been a SF fan since SF2 came out on SNES and Genesis. I'm not tgat good at the game but have played the home ports over the years and enjoy the series overall. SF2 and the updates is the best in the series in my opinion. Just ordered this game and it's under 30 dollars now. Great review!
I had my very first epileptic fit while playing SF2 Turbo on my SNES many years ago. The docs could never figure out if it was the game's fault or it was something else. That day changed my life, I still suffer with epilepsy, so the Street Fighter series and especially SF2 Turbo means a lot to me. It's great to see a huge collection released with so many games and interesting extras, this is a must not just for me but for any gamer. It's a shame Capcom didn't do such a great job on the new Megaman collections too.
LOVE Street Fighter! Street Fighter 2 is my most beloved childhood memory because it was like a gigantic jump from the original Street Fighter! My jaws dropped when I first saw it at the arcade! However, 5 versions of SF2 is kinda too much! If Capcom replaced that with SF4, it would have been perfect!
this is awesome but damn capcom can u please find a way to give us a onimusha hd collection. All these remasters and remakes and still no onimusha :/....def getting this collection though lol
PsychoSavage88 it's amazing capcom gives devil may cry all this love, but onimusha gets none. Imo onimusha is better than the devil may cry series. Samanosuke and Jubei deserve better!
J Runn I love dmc,but I will agree 100% they were saying CAPCOM will have to pay the originals voice actors in order to redo onimusha not saying it's not true but how does that stuff work if it's the same game by CAPCOM but just more prettier and more modernized along with the other 1000000 remakes and remasters we've gotten from them and different devs,I'm sure it can be done somehow
Is there any excuse for modern ports to not include content from collections or ports that came out at least a decade ago? SFA3 without at the very least the PS1 content just seems bare, 3rd Strike with the awful arcade audio, lack of SFA2 Gold...come on man.
Street Fighter 30th Anniversary Collection is a big dissapointment in my opinion because it only includes inferior versions of some of the titles. Hyper Street Fighter 2 is the by far the best version of Street Fighter 2 but it's not included in the 30th anniversary collection, I find it incredible that the best version of the game is not included in the anniversary collection, the funny thing is that Hyper fighting is an anniversary edition, so the anniversary edition wasn't included in the anniversary collection - the fucking retards. Street Fighter Alpha 3 Upper is by far the best version of Street Fighter Alpha 3 - it includes an extra 12 or so fighters that are not featured in SFA3 - and guess what? - you got it - that game wasn't included in the anniversary collection either. The version of Third Strike featured in the collection is also inferior to the later updated version. The people who put this collection together are fucking retards lol
I picked it up at WalMart a few hours ago. It plays fine on Switch but the audio is a little messed up on hand held mode for sure. It'll def need to be patched. Hoping to play a few online rounds later today.
9:49 So much to do, so much to see So what's wrong with taking the backstreets? You'll never know if you don't go (Go!) You'll never shine if you don't glow
When playing Street fighter 2 in the arcades as a young man I remember the elephants on Dalisms stage to be way loud and almost hurt my ears. So I think they were pretty close to the mark on that.
I hope they release a port of Ultra Street Fighter IV for Switch. It’s very doable and Capcom have done so many surprise ports on Switch over the years it’s a given. There clearly is a market for Street fighter and fighting games on Switch so it’s gotta happen surely. It would be amazing on the go. I could even get used to single Joy con on those trips.
Street Fighter on the Sega genesis was the first game I ever bought with my own cash Well my Dad gave me some money even now when I play the game I remember him🙂 I remember going to Wal-Mart and they had the arcade cabinet in the front part of the store I would play the game always picked Chun Li. I am still a Fan to this day😀😊
It's more like 6 games in one. Some of the games are too similar. Who demands playing SF3 2nd impact. - SF - SF2, SF2 CE, SF2 HF - SSF2, SSF2T - SFA, SFA2 - SFA3 - SF3, SF3-2, SF3-3
Updated. I got PS3/PS4 Hori Fighting Stick mini to work on my Nintendo Switch with COOV N100 adaptor now. Remember to first (1) update COOV N100 firmware to V5.7 (2) Then you have to use PC to download the latest firmware for the HORI Fighting Stick mini (latest is v.1.06) *open the update EXE file on your PC, then hold down "option + share buttons" together while connect the controller to Pc's USB port. The program will recognize the controller and show thr firmware version in it. Click"update" to upgrade it to v1.06 Afterware, connect HORI(v1.06) ==> COOV N100 (v5.7) ==> Switch. Now, Enjoy!
A very nice collection, arcade perfect emulations and with very few problems. Love the museum mode, a very nice addition. Bummed about not having the latest versions of things like Alpha 3 Upper, but the fact that it has the entire Alpha and III trilogy are worth the price alone. Now if they planned on a Marvel Vs Capcom collection next, instant buy, but the recent problems with Infinite could be a roadblock on that.
My biggest complaint about the Street Fighter series has always been the art style (the exaggerated body parts), and no finishing moves. But I'm definitely getting this (not something I've said very much as far as the Switch is concerned). I wish that a Mortal Kombat collection would be announced.
Loving beating my own hi scores. Not even trying beating the real high scores. Gotta get that Hori fight stick asap. Price jumped up by $20 on Amazon since this release. Pro Controller d-pad is working well enough. All in all, a great investment. 1991 was my sophomore year in high school, so it's really a nostalgia trip for me, and it's great to play Street Fighter 2 in arcade perfect. Love the Arcade graphics filters.
I got this yesterday for £25. Bargain and the games play just how I remember. Been a SF fan since SF2 came out but I played the original in the arcades too. Yeah, I'm old haha!
I definitely plan on picking this game up. I actually might get it for the PS4 and the Nintendo switch. Call me as sucker, but I grew up with this series. My older brother actually taught me how to play Street Fighter 2 on the Super Nintendo when we were kids. It would be a grave Injustice if I didn't get this game and prepare for an eventual rematch to show him what I've learned.
That's probably fairly typical actually. Street Fighter 1 really wasn't that good. The arcade hardware of 1987 just wasn't up to the task of pulling it off correctly.
bob smith I don't agree. It wasn't the hardware of 1987 wasn't up to the task imo, rather gameplay mechanics not quite honed at that point. No surprise really since it was the very beginnings. Besides, while it wasn't great, my surprise was how a self proclaimed "SF nut" hasn't played the game that started the ball rolling.
I agree that a self-proclaimed Street Fighter nut should have some familiarity with the game but there's probably many fans of the series who have never actually played it. As for hardware limitations, I believe I read somewhere once that Capcom couldn't make the game here you could choose between multiple characters. What they ended up with was basically just an enhanced version of Yie Ar Kung Fu and that didn't sit well with the games creators Takashi Nishiyama and Hiroshi Matsumoto.
this is not the first time, in the Blazeblue Cross Tag Battle video he did say he was a huge fan of 2D fighting games but never played a Blazeblue game before and someone have made fun of him on that in the same manner as yours. there might be some multiple reasons to avoid playing the very first Street game that start it all as the game is barley ported to modern platforms and it was considered one of the poorly made games, but one of the blazeblue fighting game is actually available in the Playstation Store for ps3 and I think the ps2 got one too, and for a person who nearly own every single modern and last gen and classic consoles and claim to love 2D fighting games so much then there should be no excuse to not playing them.
I picked up the Switch version. It's nice, but I have some issues with the input commands as well. Having 4 buttons instead of a real d-pad makes it a bit difficult for me.
Wait "the servers must not have been fully up and running" but "it's peer to peer". These two things can't co-exist, it's one or the other. Also now that more people got hands on with the game and have analyzed a lot of the stuff, many are reporting not arcade perfect gameplay sadly, despite Capcom's promise. Balance changes and speeds not matching are two common complaints :,( Not 100% sure if it's all true because I haven't done it myself, but many people with a lot of experience comparing versions are saying it. :(
It obviously cannot be peer to peer because multiple users can join the lobby and the host can leave when he lost (and he's a spectator) without any technical hickup
These games are censored, no option to switch versions of the game, and no access to dipswitch menus to change out these settings. I still bought it but they should unlock access to the rom arade menu. Oh and it doesn't have Street Fighter Alpha 3 Upper, or Saikyo Dojo which had extra characters.
Picked up mine for ps4. Couldn't pass up the ultra sf4 free copy for preordering. Anyways, I LOVE this compilation! Highest of recommends on this one. Great video RGT thanks!
When this was first announced I wasn't too sure because I have all these games on PC through emulation. But after buying 4 Neo Geo games for my Switch, as I have the entire library on my PC as well, I figured I can spend the $40 to get 12 Street Fighter games, with 3rd Strike being my all time favorite Street Fighter, and play it on the go. I was sketch about the online for the Switch because USF2 was laggy as crap to me, but I will take your word for the online deal for SF30th. Thanks for the update. I was waiting for you to do this video. :-)
Though I love the collection, I was never a fan of most of these arcade version, if anything I would had love that they implement some of the home version features like World Tour Mode and Dramatic Battle into the game. Would had also love to see some of the extra games from past collection as unlockable such as Street Fighter Alpha 2 Gold, Street Fighter Alpha 3 Upper, Hyper Street Fighter II, Hyper Street Fighter Alpha, Street Fighter The Movie: The Game, and Super Gems Fighter: Mini Mix. It's still a good collection but not impressive compare to past collection. It is nice to see Super Turbo, all the Alpha games and the third SF series come to Nintendo home console in their arcade iteration for the first time after breaking history with Nintendo for this long.
Sorry just figured it out use the negative signal on the left controller thats the start button for street fighter. God i wish they would put this in their reviews. Just spent a good 30 min trying to press start its not the plus sign! Negative sign on left controller
RGT: Do you have this on Switch? The International version is on the JP Eshop for about $10 more but lets you select between US or Japan versions. The rub for me: They upgraded PC owners on Steam to the International edition for 3 days last week (on "accident"). There's a post from Capcom asking owners to voluntary delete and redownload the inferior US version!
Yeah they were horrible sounding on here until Street Fighter 2 the New Challengers that's the best SF2 of the retro versions anyway, the SF2 Turbo on here is the unpatched version and is unplayable.
Kinda wished that they added USFIV and Hyper Street Fighter 2 in the mix... Hey, if SSFIV could run on the 3DS, it could have run on the Switch. BTW, USFIV is given with the Collection as a digital download for PS4 and XBONE; it's just not on the actual disc.
I started to hate Square Enix for not starting development on the Final Fantasy VII Remake, changing the game's Active Time Battle to Real Time combat even though the Remake Versions of FFI through FFVI retained their Battle Systems and the PSVITA Version of Secret Of Mana not fully 60 Frames Per Seconds even though the PSVITA Version of Adventure Of Mana was 60 FPS! And I hate Konami too for kicking out Hideo Kojima, ending the old Kojima Productions, canceling Silent Hills and harassing their ex-employees.
The console versions had extra characters like Dee Jay, Fei Long, T. Hawk, Guile, Evil Ryu, and Shin Akuma. The psp version also added Eagle, Maki, Ingrid, and Yun. Those were the characters I was wondering about and since these are based on the arcade versions and those were only on the home console versions.
Namey Lessone Guile isn't even in the console version though, or at least I've never seen him. Didn't know the others were bonuses though, and I've never heard of the second list, aside from Yun.
Guile is unlocked in world tour mode, level 31, I believe. I don't know who Eagle is, but Ingrid is an oc made for Capcom Fighting Evolution and Maki is the female ninja you can play as on Final Fight 2.
Since they already release Ultra street fighter 2, for the price, if they add Street fighter 4 and then some, now that would be a sure pick for me. I mean 3 and 4 didn't come out of Nintendo (5 as well for obvious reasons) but putting 3 and 4 on that price with the alpha series and the original, yeah, I would have picked the game.
Now Capcom just needs to re-release of all the older Marvel related 2d fighting games together: X-men, Marvel Super Heroes, X-men Vs SF, Marvel Super Heroes vs SF, Marvel vs Capcom, Marvel vs Capcom 2.
Kyung Dae Seung Of course they need Marvel licensing for that.
Don't forget Darkstalkers. That series also deserves it's own collection(so I can finally play those 2 Japanese exclusive updates of Vampire Savior).
I've thought of the same thing for months. Bring it already!!
oh man thats my dream come true
Actually Capcom has renewed marvel license, they have a Arcade 1 up cabinet of Marvel coming out
I remember when the Street Fighter 2 arcade machine first hit my local video store back in 1991. It was pure magic.
and i remember paying $120 for the super famicom cart on day of release.
I NEED someone to make a review video of your mustache. Creepy, uneven but somehow incredibly alluring. 6/10
BeatEmUps I could see 6/10
6/10 but without the moustache there's a Claudio Sanchez vibe
yea ok wood your facial hair is straight up 18th century twine. gross
Wood can you tell Shawn to fix his shelves
BeatEmUps 🤣lol
An ultimate MK compilation is what I want. MK trilogy remastered.
Dizzy Dee. Still can believe they changed the button inputs for the special moves in the new ones.
Trilogy on n64 is so good. That would be awesome on switch.
12 STREET FIGHTER games on one cartridge but they couldn’t fit the MEGA MAN COLLECTION on cartridge, really. Anyway, awesome review rgt85 👍🏽👍🏽👍🏽
oxygeninterface 🤣🤣🤣 capcom is ridiculous
12 inferior versions of every game on one cartridge you mean? This is not worth a buy at all.
TheHayduken1 emulation input lag is dreadful for games like this at a prolevel. Also if you bought an arcade stick for your Switch (Hori Hayabusa) or if you want to play those old games online, then yes it's absolutely worth it for fans of the genre.

Still doesn't excuse not putting up a menu to pick one of two for the game to run, nor does it excuse not bothering to even give them their own cartridges.
12 games with most of them being different editions of an overrated SF2
What?! Capcom actually put the entire collection on one switch cartridge?! They can actually do that?!
They need marvel's permission (marvel's license) for that to happen.
That would be a dream come true
You also get that that good old “UNFAIR DAM CHEATING” arcade difficulty
Great review, I'm gonna get this for Switch
It was 15.00 recently so I picked it up. Man I miss that old RTG 85 intro.

"Game causes kid to have a seizure" "same kid praises the game and has nostalgic feelings torwards same game".... 😆 The logic behind this....
$9.99 currently. One day left.
I'm very surprised Capcom actually did a good job this time! Let's hope the RE2 Remake is done right as well.
I know it's older video. But I'm so happy to of got this game as a gift. I miss these old vids. Much love Shawn.
Thanks for the honest review mate. I feel better about picking my copy up.
this is awesome but damn capcom can u please find a way to give us a onimusha hd collection. All these remasters and remakes and still no onimusha :/....def getting this collection though lol
PsychoSavage88 agreed
AMEN
I'd jump on that in a heartbeat. Wish Onimusha got more love
PsychoSavage88 it's amazing capcom gives devil may cry all this love, but onimusha gets none. Imo onimusha is better than the devil may cry series. Samanosuke and Jubei deserve better!

Street Fighter 30th Anniversary Collection is a big dissapointment in my opinion because it only includes inferior versions of some of the titles. I plan on getting the Nintendo switch snd STREET FIGHTER 30TH ANIVERCERY COLLECTION
The Loud Elephants Lol Welcome to first sound you hear in every Arcade in the 90's (well that an ULTRAAA COMBOOOOO)
Got both PS4 and Switch version today. Love it. And you can have all the main line SF on the go as well.
Son Goku except 4
Son Goku since you have the ps4 and the switch version do you know if you can do dramatic battle mode on both
Rojan Dur Yes. But you have to use a code for Alpha.
I wish X-Men VS Street Fighter was also include in the game console as well
I picked it up at WalMart a few hours ago. It plays fine on Switch but the audio is a little messed up on hand held mode for sure. It'll def need to be patched. Hoping to play a few online rounds later today.
Your mustache is like a face mullet: business on the right, party on the left.
video starts at 2:19
😂
Tim McDermott By that point he still hasn’t taken a breath :)
Worth it!! You won't be disappointed... Got this for 30 dollars
Played it everyday since I bought it
Got it on PS4 pre-order. Thanks for the review!
I just picked up my copy a few days ago at GameStop, a used copy, and I also used my monthly five💵dollar coupon...🤘🏼💯✔️
This is the First fighting game that I saw my Brother play on Super Nintendo when I was 4.
9:49 So much to do, so much to see
So what's wrong with taking the backstreets?
You'll never know if you don't go (Go!)
You'll never shine if you don't glow
Hey now
Ultra 2 The Final Challengers is very good. I need this too! Nice review 👍
I'm glad he didn't end the video with the requisite "I'm gonna go play some whatever game/console I was just talking about".
When playing Street fighter 2 in the arcades as a young man I remember the elephants on Dalisms stage to be way loud and almost hurt my ears. So I think they were pretty close to the mark on that.

Who needs the extra game when theres already so many versions of the game included!
Soo much Street Fighting goodness, must buy!
I know it’s been done to death, but I’d love capcom to port RE4 to the switch, I’d love to play it in handheld mode on the go.
Now you can :D
Dhalsim's elephants in Street Fighter II were always incredibly loud in the mix on the arcade machines too.
I'm buying it!!!😎😎😎 like a dream come true for someone like me!!!!
Definitely get it
I was on the fence about this. Definitely getting it now thanks to this review.
I wouldn't doubt that those elephants on Dhalsim's stage are accurate . They're always SUPER LOUD back in the day.
I will be picking this up. I can't wait.
Street Fighter on the Sega genesis was the first game I ever bought with my own cash Well my Dad gave me some money even now when I play the game I remember him🙂 I remember going to Wal-Mart and they had the arcade cabinet in the front part of the store I would play the game always picked Chun Li. I am still a Fan to this day😀😊
That lobby idea sounds mad dope! Even more excited after hearing that part tbh
No Street Fighter the movie. Very disappointing :)
James Cheng But Why? It sucked so hard!
It was just a joke. Lol.
Would've been neat though. Its cheese makes it a cult classic.
Both street fighter movies were bad I think at least but at least van damn was in the original☺️
James Cheng In my opinion it was a not a bad game. It played like Street Fighter II but with digitized sprites.
You give a honest review of games a reason I watch great videos an keep them coming there very informative
It's more like 6 games in one. Some of the games are too similar. Who demands playing SF3 2nd impact.
- SF

Thank you so much I don't know ultra Street fighter 4 coming with this
My copy will be here by 8PM launch day
Nice review bro, already have my copy pre ordered for Switch.

Great Video buddy!! You are really putting up some good ones over the last few months, excellent job as always!
Oh man he said Switch at the end without sayin nintendo in front of it. :)

One does not simply use the word "flawless" in a SF review
A "SF nut" who's never played the first SF...
Ok.
Robert Higgins this game is only for those who aren't experienced SF games before.
That's probably fairly typical actually. Street Fighter 1 really wasn't that good. The arcade hardware of 1987 just wasn't up to the task of pulling it off correctly.

I picked up the Switch version. It's nice, but I have some issues with the input commands as well. Having 4 buttons instead of a real d-pad makes it a bit difficult for me.
They should have put Street Fighter Alpha 3 Máx.
No deal for me.
Balance changes and speeds not matching are two common complaints :,(
Not 100% sure if it's all true because I haven't done it myself, but many people with a lot of experience comparing versions are saying it. :(
It obviously cannot be peer to peer because multiple users can join the lobby and the host can leave when he lost (and he's a spectator) without any technical hickup
How are they censored?
Definetly getting this for the Switch
Thanks for your nolife story , really depressing
Vasili hey man, you're very welcome. 👍
FYI: SFIII 2nd impact has the native widescreen option.
Picking this up today can't wait to play it
Dwayne St John you know there's no Fei long in Alpha 3 on it
I've never played alpha 3
I wish it came with Alpha 2 Gold and no World Tour on Alpha 3(upper) is a bummer.
I got this for 14 bucks on the eshop. It was worth it!
Me too but cant seem to play it for some reason just see free play and cant use my controller
Sorry just figured it out use the negative signal on the left controller thats the start button for street fighter. God i wish they would put this in their reviews. Just spent a good 30 min trying to press start its not the plus sign! Negative sign on left controller
@@abigailsuarez8179 yeah I was gonna tell you that
As that copy of Mighty No. 9 stares from the back like a red headed step child...
so can't wait to pick this up...
Finally pick it up. Gotta say it's fun. Street fighter alpha 3 is my favorite but now, I started to love all of them
Third strike is on this collection
as soon as this comes out I'm running straight to the store.
Those elephants were always stupidly loud in the arcade. I think changed for console versions.
Yeah they were horrible sounding on here until Street Fighter 2 the New Challengers that's the best SF2 of the retro versions anyway, the SF2 Turbo on here is the unpatched version and is unplayable.
Looking forward to playing this game! Cheers!
I can't wait until I pick this game up! I'm excited.
Was waiting for this game to come out on the eshop was the longest wait
I'll wait for the 75% off sale on Steam.
That's why I decided on the Xbox version
hyper sf2! champion edition ken ;)
I NEW he would start with "when it comes to" ;)
You NEW that aye?
William Hollaway 😂
*KNEW
I love the games, and they're a perfect fit for a handheld. My concern is the terrible D-pad on the Switch.
Now they need to get with Disney to figure out how to put out all the Marvel crossover games again
Vanilla Alpha 3 :(
When do we get a good port of MAX
I love some street fighter 2! Kens my fav!
I actually just got it yesterday for $19.83 for my switch🥰🥰🥰
I miss this intro so much on the current videos 😭
gonna have to pick this up!
The only concern I have is that SFA3 won't have all the extra characters of the console versions, will it?
Namey Lessone Who's the extras? I've only ever had the console version and never seen the arcade.
Namey Lessone Ya learn something new every day, I suppose.
It’s on sale for 19.99 till Jan 16.
