My First Impressions of TAGAYTAY 🇵🇭 Enjoying Cassava Suman

  • This is my first time visiting Tagaytay. I wanted to explore around a bit but had to fight the rain off. The weather has been very unpredictable here in the Philippines.
I took a trike up to Picnic Grove where I encountered some friendly horseback riding salesmen, as well as walked around the park taking in all the sights.
Afterwards, I wandered down to try some Cassava Suman at Roots & Beans. Ube, Jackfruit, and chocolate filled delicacies made from the roots of the Cassava plant. A must try!
Some helpful cyclists gave me directions and showed me the plant it was made from.
You can help the channel grow by liking, commenting, and subscribing! If you want to be extra nice please share my video with your friends on social media.
    I appreciate you all!

Having grown up in the neighboring town of Imus, Picnic Grove was a popular place even in those days, and you're right, that place is ancient!!

Nice Vid! It would help boost the subs when you have a business card showing your YT name on it and hand it over to the persons you interacted with. Also, a good idea if you have a custom small sticker with your YT name as well and stick it over to the food stalls you have eaten but ask first if okay to put stickers on their shops.

I think only locals (usually who can’t afford the restaurants along the highway) go to Picnic Grove. It’s seen better days. Seems they don’t really maintain it anymore. But if you want some open space for your kids to run around in open air (esp after being cooped up during pandemic), this will be a perfect place to go to.

Man Cassava is great, that Suman I prefer than the rice based one but hey lots of sticky rices and similar to that family you should try, ask a local of different ones and give us your reaction on those different types of "kakanin" (I agree on the other comments, your honest way of describing what you see is refreshing hehe)

12:45 this is sad that they not maintained the walkway before it was nice and beautiful That bridge is nice before but now looks old. I hope the govt in tagaytay rehabilitate it again so that more tourist will come and enjoy the beautiful scenery of the place. They charged for entrance fee i hope the money they charged help them make the place more nice and beautiful.

Hope you got to see the beautiful Taal Volcano clearly in the next vlogs... I wonder if Vulcan Point is still intact. It's a small island inside the crater. Coz before the massive eruption in 2020, there's actually a lake within the crater. And within that lake is Vulcan Point, which they call "an island within a lake within a volcano within a lake within an island (Luzon) within an ocean." 😆

Hello Tater. I’m from Quezon City, Metro Manila and I’ve been watching your videos for the past two weeks I think. You’re pretty entertaining to watch I must say and very gracious. I’m glad you’re enjoying all the local delicacies so far. But don’t be afraid to say when you don’t as food is very subjective. Besides, it’s how one says it that matters ultimately. Like you can say you are not too fond of something without being impolite.
Interestingly, I am learning stuff from you, a foreign visitor, about some of our food. Like I have never eaten sizzling sinigang. So now you got me all curious, hehe.
Anyway keep up the good vlogs and hope your channel blows up real soon. Take care in your travels !

I want some of those cassava suman. I would buy the ones with ube, macapuno(coconut) and langka(jackfruit). So hard to find some delightful and yummy kakanin(snacks) like that. Now I gotta go2 to Tagaytay, Cavite coming from Gen.Trias, Cavite 😂 traffic! A Pinay/American/Canadian here. Tater you gotta try buko pie(coconut). It’s also good. Are you staying longer if so go back to Makati and get your extension visa in Makati or either BGC. Don’t go2 Intramuros it’s a long line. Keep exploring Philippines so much to see but if you ask me I wouldn’t know where to go 😂. Take care 🙏
