We started living in Ayala Alabang Village in 1987. We first 3 siblings then got married and went out to livenon our own and our mother is left there with our 2 younger siblings. There is no where else in Metro Manila as nice and safe and clean and convenient than in that place. We practically make our shopping, grocering, movie watching in commercial areas surrounding us --- Alabang Town Center or we call it simply Town, then came the Festival Mall, then the West Gate, then the latest I know is Molito. Hello Zane, I've been living in Alabang for over 20 years! Alabang has all the New Car dealerships, Hospitals, Hotels, Office buildings, several malls, Call Centers, Colleges and Universities, Many upscale Gated Communties and loads of Resturants and bars.
Wow thanks for showing Filinvest and ATC on your video. One of my favorite place to go when I was still in Philippines. My family used to go there when I was younger. ❤ try going to Molito its just right beside it and there are so many restaurants there to choose from. Keep it up!
This is one side of Manila I haven't explored and have always heard about Alabang. Didn't know that this is the rich side of the philippines. Slowly catching up on vlogs sort of behind right now lol. Safe travels!
For the GDP per capita of the Philippines to increase, they need to produce high value chain items like Japan, Taiwan, and South Korea. Even countries like Thailand and Malaysia have embraced this model and are slowly developing their tech industry. BPO's are good for the economy, but don't pay all that much but they hire droves of people.
Subbed! Thank you for this video! Great to see Alabang! I have friends and relatives mentioned that place alot, that I've never been to yet. One day, maybe! And yum, that pizza looks scrumptious on my screen! Whew, I almost took a bite when you had it so close to my face, LOL! Thank you, Zane! Watching you from Southern California, good ole USA! 🙂
That was quite an informatively entertaining walk-around Alabang Festival Mall, particularly for those pinned down by old age and ill health, like osteoarthritis, etc., Zane! I love the way you navigate to get a good feel of the place, your choice of pizza, and the paths you choose to satiate your curiosity for info and entertainment. I admire your inclusion of nature, particularly rare plants, flowering ones, trees, and a cool and refreshing walk outdoors surrounding the complex. Indeed, one need not own a car to see lovely places where order, cleanliness, and beauty are necessary to give everyone a feel of a relaxing, positive, and promising moment in time! God bless you in your next choices. I hope the acquaintances you meet add to one harmonious humanity! God bless you always, Zane. 🙏👏⭐️🎉
There’s a lot of security guards in rich subdivisions. They won’t allow you to enter if you don’t have appointment to homeowner. Security guard will call first the person (homeowner) before they will let you in.
8:17 That's actually the largest indoor roller coaster in the Philippines at the moment. Also, there's a whole massive outdoor river area that you missed if you walked to the other side of the mall
16:00 - Sadly, there has always been a noticeably unequal distribution of wealth in PH. We have some of the richest in the world, but also some of the poorest. Has been that way since the Spanish times it seems when the colonizers took for themselves vast tracts of lands while the native Filipinos (who they derogatorily call "Indios") became like tenant farmers or slaves. Of course since then, there have been those who became wealthy through sheer hard work and just the knack for business, esp. Chinese immigrants like the Sy's and Gokongwei's for example. But the disparity between the rich and poor has sadly remained wide. Hopefully, with the rapid growth of the economy, more of the poor will cross over to middle-income status. 🙏

And remember when there was only twin cinema in ATC? Magnolia scooping station and the pancake house??? Now it’s a different story, every time I go home ATC just keeps getting better. Molito is a great place to try different restaurants & cafes. The part where Rustan’s lane used to be in Cuenca is now a Starbucks, can you believe that?! It frustrates me that they still can’t get Aircon Control Vestibules correctly. In America any Mall would have two sets of tight-fitting doors per Entrance, so that the cooled or heated air doesn’t mix with outside air. It’s an Energy-Saving Law. As expensive as electricity is in the PH, you would think there would be more mandates for Energy Efficiency. Instead you get drafty malls with places that are either too warm or too cold,. Those Air Curtains where the guards post simply will not cut it.
I know what you mean Ryan. The aircon in Festival Mall is kept at a high temperature setting to save on electricity costs resulting in a very hot, humid, and uncomfortable experience. It's so sad that management has allowed this to happen and as a result downgraded its status as an upscale mall.
Alabang is still inside of the Metro, the Southern Metro Manila business district. Keep going Zane. Next, Araneta City, Greenfield District, Circuit Makati, or even the real outside of the Metro there in the southern part, the Nuvali District in Laguna

It becomes more colorful as the Christmas season comes about, more festive decors and events in/around many malls. I used to wonder before why they kept building huge malls, now I understand, helps spread it out so people will have shorter commute times, plus in the very humid weather, AC in the mall is a good relief. And people loves to eat..so always a good selection to find around. There is indeed a big disparity in the income of many Philippine households, way too low wages..so it is so common to find a family member is working abroad, or maybe preparing to migrate permanently. But times are changing, hopefully something else improves. Always a great potential for our dear motherland.
You missed the newer side of the mall and the Riverwalk of the mall between that main mall building and across to Landmark... You need not exit the mall but need to turn to one big corridor inside from the big carousel in the middle of the mall towards Landmark. Department store, supermarket, many al fresco restaurants in that area. You have to go back.
As a Filipino who has been in Seattle for 2 years, my mind feels so free and happy to view a cityscape without tagging (vandalism) everywhere. So glad to know Filipinos respect each other to keep their communities clean and aesthetic, let's be like Japan - clean, modern, and strong local culture + with the added benefit of world famous Filipino values (God, Family, Nation).
16:25 thank God we don't have the western problem of unhappiness despite so much money! Filipinos have immense wisdom in gaining happiness from the family rather than money.
We have been newly industrialized since Pres Gloria Macapagal which is decades ago haha. We're trying to get into the middle-high income economies where Indonesia, Malaysia, Thailand are at already. But we will devekop the Filipino way. No culture and society destroying globalist liberal woke disease way.
Welcome to the neighborhood. We were just there last week, the kids love this mall as all there friends go there. Might just drive up there today and grab some hopias. 🎉❤😂

Wow. Festival Mall is just near to us.
I miss the Philippines.
Also apple pay work back home? YESSSSS!
22:24 I wish there was a metro in that mall, that would be so convenient and facilitate so much commerce.
Welcome to the neighborhood. We were just there last week, the kids love this mall as all there friends go there. Might just drive up there today and grab some hopias. 🎉❤😂
Anywhere in Philippines so long as you feel and are safe, sir
The ultra-rich live in Forbes Park in Makati. Many of those who could no longer afford living in Forbes Park moved to Ayala Alabang. Forbes Park as well as Ayala Alabang was developed by Ayala Land.
Evia is also aesthetic vibes and luxury amenities try to visit it sometimes
Festival Mall is the biggest mall in Alabang area. I prefer the new wing or extension wing where Landmark Dept store and supermarket is located...less crowded
And Villar City in Cavite is upcoming soon...
