@@moonlight0526 my fault. Didnt me to come off negative- I worded that wrong. All im saying is, 15 pesos isnt 15 dollars… 10%of485 is about 50 pesos. A lot of people in places like he went to depend on gratuity as the hourly rate in phil sucks. Didnt mean to “price” him.

Mabuhay Zane! Definitely recommend staying and hanging around BGC which is the new downtown area for Metro Manila. Makati CBD is also really nice, as is Ortigas (they're the 3 main downtown areas) - the area around MOA is a large new area in the Bay - you can see the world's largest Ikea, and the worlds second largest dancing fountain at Okada. They do free shows between 6-10pm every day. If you're able to go to Baguio and the Cordillera highlands and see the 2500 year old rice terraces on the UNESCO world heritage list (its 3-4 hour trip via bus on the expressway to Baguio, but a longer trip to see the rice terraces once you're in the pine-filled highlands) - or Batanes (the NZ of Southeast Asia), its highly highly recommended :)
