I'm trying to learn as I work with a ton of ppl who speak Hindi. I feel dumb that so many ppl learn English but I find a lot of ppl from Canada/U.S. aren't willing to learn other languages. It's assumed others should automatically learn or know English for our convenience or something

They're teaching the standard and the polite version of the language not the casual and impolite version🙂 to those students/people who are learning Hindi from scratch... and let me ask you friend... don't you feel good whan a little kid greet you with "Namaste" 😅?... And we always use "Namaste/Namaskar" to our elders. Aren't we?... And yes! Sometimes we casually use "Hello/Hii" ...but it's not a part of our origin hope you get it? No need to learn hindi. there are english translation of hindu scriptures and hindu scriptures were originally written in Sanskrit a language which even we indians don't speak now

Try talking to people who are native speakers who can correct you. After hearing them and talking to them for a good amount of time, you should better And watching movies and shows in that language Note I haven't done it but I have seen lots of people learn from it
