Tricky replacing those original filter capacitors and a new kit is a great help in restoring a very special audio generator. The results are excellent!
I’ve got an old Heath Kit audio generator. I like the fact it has so much attenuation that it would never overdrive even the most sensitive inputs. They made some great kits.
Terry! I had no idea you have an IO-4235, I do as well. I believe them to be quite rare, given the original kit price of $1799, in 1980 dollars. I need to replace the +15/-15 regulators in mine with modern 7815/7915 parts - I have them, just waiting for the right day. I found mine in an antique store with the cover off - $5. What a scope!
I have this Heath built audio generator and the matching EUW-24 VTVM. Quality build for sure and l luvs the retro green faceplates to boot. When l seen them in an old 60'S Heathkit catalog l went looking for them. Wish l had the matching scope too.
