    First decent comprehensive review of this head I have seen so far. Very informative and helpful. Reviewer covered the full range of drive settings and tones for this amp something all the metal head reviews failed to do! Great playing too!

    turn the resonance off with the dirty channel to get rid of that fuzzy sound. It's the same on my DSL 100.

    I bought one the other day and hated it right off the bat. Very hairy at lower volumes and just sounded horribly synthetic. Then I put an EQ in the loop and dropped the level, then pumped the volume on the gain channel and put an SD-1 in front and wow....straight to pound town. It was like Zakk Wylde met AC/DC at Eddie Van Halen's house 😁

    I think there's room for this amp , even if you have ' proper' Marshalls.
    Great amp.

    Sorry but this head can be use without speakers ? Because i just have a dsl15 with 12' speaker, but i would like to have de dsl20h cause it hasn't big dimensions. But I don't understand I can hear it without another speaker, only with the head? Thank you

    • @TSFAHTPS
      @TSFAHTPS  5 лет назад +2

      You need a speaker or a load box...you can't use it just on its own! It has a direct line out for recording but you still need a load box otherwise you will damage the head!

    Peavey 6505mh vs dsl20h which one is better?

    • @Juicexlx
      @Juicexlx 4 года назад

      2 types of Metal. You need to find what sound you like first by listening to bands. There are more bands that used Marshall, but from 1980's Van Halen...The Peavey also became a legend at least in the USA. I prefer the British Metal sound of Marshall, but to each his own...

      I've got the big dog Peavey 6534+ and the little DSL15 HEAD AND THEY ARE BOTH KILLER AMPS !
      I'VE GOT THE PEAVEY TO SOUNDS JUST LIKE THE MARSHALL BY TURNING THE BASS AND MIDS DOWN IN THE PEAVEY TO MATCH THE MARSHALL !

    Do think it's loud enough to gig with?

    • @davidmerlin3344
      @davidmerlin3344 5 лет назад +6

      ryan Cuellar Why do people ask this question? Of course it is. You can gig with a 5 watt amp if you mic it.

    • @blizzbee
      @blizzbee 5 лет назад +3

      I'd say a 15w or more all-tube amp is safe to gig in any "club" to hear yourself "on stage"... To mic or not, it's up to the venue and seats.

    This or dsl40cr?

    • @TSFAHTPS
      @TSFAHTPS  4 года назад +1

      Depends on if you are after a Head or a Combo AND of the style of music you play. If you play in a fairly loud band and you want headroom - as in you want the amp to stay "clean" without pushing the poweramp - you will probably be better off with the 40W version...if you like that Tube sag from pushing your amps poweramp tubes then the 20 will be great...hope that helps
