Thanks! My nephew, a mechanical engineer endowed with the tact, subtlety and sparkling wit that his profession is noted for, suggested that a rain cap would be redundant on an engine that was never going to be exposed to the elements!
I used a Buzz Coil ignition from the Jerry Howell ignition systems website "www.model-engine-ignition.com/model-engine-ignition/ignition-modules". His simplest and smaller system the TM6 would also work very well. The coil is a "universal ATV" coil rated for 6 volts from a local motor cycle parts supplier. Some specifications of the system are shown in video 13 of the playlist.
