"Today's story was written by Cam Collins, holy god did she terrify the crap out of ALL of us."
I love that they're having as much fun as we are.

Lbr, he should have expected this. You don't make a deal with dark, Eldritch powers, then betray them without horrifying consequences

O M G. This is easily the BEST podcast I've ever heard. The narration, the world building, all of the cosmic and folk horrors, the background music, the production, and his voice-THAT voice. I'm floored by it. Phenomenal.

yup, I second that. Lovecraftian elements and something a young Steven King might have written. And Appalachia. I love it.

I mean the whole Adam and Eve story is about this, no? One person did a bad decision (where it's even arguable if they understood the consequences but that's besides the point) and then everyone was cursed for that.

Sad end, but totally fitting, and worth every second. Absolutely appreciate it.

One of my favorite stories. I wonder what happened to Cletus. I wonder will he resurface?

It says at the end that Ruby's voice was the last he ever heard, so I'm pretty sure he's dead.

Can anyone tell what the cackling pastor said? I checked the captions but they were just auto-fill so weren't very helpful

@@OldGodsofAppalachia That’s an excellent bit of accessibility. My mother’s deaf, and I’ve been thinking of recommending the show.
