The tincling, soothing sound of a rainstick being turned upside down. So simple but still so relaxing... A rainstick is the term for a cactus, where the all the thorns have been hammered into the body of the cactus, producing a whirling, tincling sound, when turned upside down. I believe any kind of music, that tunes your mind into a more relaxed state, will do good to your autonomic nervous system. When you relax into meditation and mindfulness, the parasympathetic nervous system takes over, which means that you leave your "fight or flight" mecanismes behind for a while and healing on a deeper, more subconscious level is possible.
