Even though they didn’t get to playoffs that season, the Jets showed complete resolve that led to a 10-6 season. But after that, they were never the sure thing under Todd Bowles

Fitzpatrick was playing great, Brandon Marshall was the leading receiver in TD receptions, Revis and Cromartie came back. They had so much promise after this season...what happened?
Everyone was really old and on expiring/short contracts. Fitz is insanely inconsistant.
Jacob J., I’m pretty sure Allen Robinson and Doug Baldwin both had 15 for the lead, but I could be wrong.
Fitz had a habit on choking in the most important games.
Crazy that the Patriots lost this game and the game the week after. Ended up costing them home field advantage throughout the playoffs and possibly another Super Bowl berth😅

Jets patriots games always feel like instant classics! Definitely one of the most underrated rivalries in the NFL
Wow, 6 years later:
-Tom Brady is still winning super bowls
-Brandon Marshall is out of the league
-Ryan Fitzpatrick is a back-up
-Todd Bowles has proved his worth
-GM Bellichick is still putting weird weapons around his quarterbacks
Fitzpatrick is also one of the best backups to ever play and Brandon Marshall had a fantastic career. Your point?

darkthunder 16 the bengals made the playoffs 7 straight seasons & won 10-11 games just about all of them. I think from 2006-2016 they won the AFC North more times than the Steelers or Ravens..... but they were 0-7 in the playoffs
The jets beat the bengals back to back weeks in 2009 week 17 and then the wildcard game of 2010 playoffs

If Dalton wasnt injured Bungles mightve made a super bowl run. They lost to Denver without Dalton and they got stuck as #3 seed. Even with AJ they shouldve beat steelers. Them, 2014 Cardinals and 2016 Raiders are big what ifs with QB injuries ruining a great season

the Pats started 10-0 and finished 12-4 down the stretch. 2015 was a crazy year especially in the AFC
Edelman's injury in week 10 is what caused that downfall, he was having a career year 15.
I was there on my birthday and watched it live. One of my favorite moments as a jets fan
True story I was working at a pizzeria watching this game and when Revis picked Brady in the 3rd I screamed at the top of my lungs “YESS!!!!!” with a table full of french foreigners who barely spoke English right in front of me. They had no idea what was going on looked at me like I was insane 😂

Yeah the Bills are a walking mediocrity that has made the playoffs 4 out of the last 5 seasons and demolished the Patriots in the divisional round which was Bellichicks worst playoff lost ever, LOL but yeah..jets...
Im a Steelers fan and I remember this game, because I thought the Steelers playoff chances were very slim to none after this game. The Steelers lost to the Ravens that day in Baltimore and with the Jets beating New England, I think the scenario was if the Jets beat Buffalo the following week, they would make the playoffs. Then week 17 came the Steelers beat the Browns and got some help from the Buffalo Bills with their upset over the New York Jets, which gave the Steelers the final playoff spot in the AFC.
Metlife could get as loud as the old Giants stadium.

To me, what was worse in this game than the overtime decision was the Patriots' final drive before the half. A historically great two-minute offense, didn't even TRY to score. I don't ever remember being more pissed at Belichick than after this game (admittedly rare)

Oh man, the 2015 Pats. What a disastrous way to end a season. Started 10-0, got decimated by injuries, finished 2-4 down the stretch including a painful OT loss at Denver that cost them homefield advantage in the playoffs, and end up losing at Denver in the AFC Championship, making it the the only time in the last 5 seasons New England didn't make the Super Bowl.
Personally, I think that loss and this particular season is why Brady has been on a mission to never miss another Super Bowl. Keep in mind, the Super Bowl that year was in Santa Clara, right by Brady's hometown. He missed what was probably his only chance to win a Super Bowl in his hometown and I think he's been on mission to ruin everyone else's dreams ever since.
They went 10-6 and missed the playoffs, I get Houston had a great defense and won the division but they did not belong there over the Jets.

Travis Rowe realistically most probably would if you would know that he would never play a whole season. As great as he was, he could never stay healthy, therefore, not a great option to build around
Keyton guess it depends on how u look at it. On one hand you could say he’d always be injured. In another, u could say we dk what would happen if u played his career over again.
Travis Rowe I have a suspicious feeling that it was drugs and roids that ruined gronks career. Judging by his personality I think it happens every time in my opinion. He’s huge so he puts a lot of strain on his joints and ligaments, add not taking care of your body and you get gronk.
