He never had throat surgery that was a rumor that was proven false. He can still scream like this look up the making of critical acclaim. He just chose to pursue a different style of music.

i completely 100 percent agree with you... except he did get surgery on his throat for a blood vessel or something close to that, that would close up his throat when he screamed... but it didn't affect his voice or his screams at all... he just didn't want to do it anymore because they all thought that screaming was going in the wrong direction and a quote from the rev in an interview "the whole genre was getting gay"
Actually, he did have surgery in 2004. It just wasn't the main reason they stopped screaming. I have a link to a video in my favorites of Shadows talking about the surgery process in my favorites. I can PM it to you, if you'd like.

@diannabowen like Corey Taylor in Slipnkot and the singer in Mudvayne. They both have destroeyd their vocal cords. Now when i hear Shads scream its from the bottom of the belly, it gives the scream a better depth and don't harm him. foREVer

Johnny... and it wouldn't be Justin Sane. It would be Dameon Ash. Justin had to leave the band after the STST recording in 2001. Dameon Ash was the bassist for just about every live performance ever recorded. After he didn't work out Johnny took over.
