it's happened when the rev was in punk band, with 1 tom, 1snare, 1 floor but i amazed with his skill. much punk bands with that kits always use same pattern in every song but the rev is creative as fuck.
unholy confessions is literally the most played song avenged has ever done. ever since waking the fallen came out, it had been pretty much a stable song in every of their live performances since at least 03-04-present. crazy to think how far they came from just playing small shows in front of nobody to playing with metallica and to have their own success and its because of us fans for not just buying their shit but supporting them through listening their songs they worked so hard to create and just come and see their live shows.
Usually the greatest bands begin to male music pretty early in their post teenage years. True genius musicians and that’s why most of them sign deals being 18-20 years old.
Probably because the album was just out or about to come out. So no one knew who they were. I only discovered Avenged the year after in 2004 summer when Waking the fallen was being played a bit on MTV late night. Then got into them. Was a breath of fresh air hearing some proper metal in between all the emo and emo core bands
Ahh how the oddly cuteness multiplies foxy Sarah Silverman shadow diablo. it has that odd dark emotion of young innocent shadows trying to be heard and grow.
They have played Mesa since the beginning (Zack played on a 5150 at one point.) they played Mesa and Bogner until around 2009 when they signed with Marshall and that lasted until 2013 when Syn got his own amp with Schecter and Zack his own with Jet City Amplifiers.
You know this video is super old cause M used to scream live and didn't wear sunglass, Syn wasn’t playing the schecter guitar, Zach wasn't wearing a cap, Rev played a small kit, Johnny had no mohawk + All of em had less tattoos
It’s surprising how good they were when playing live back then. I know they were like a band for 4 years at this point but the things they played at the time were so demanding, plus they were like ages 20-24 I think in this video.
This is one of their easier songs, I remember them saying that from an early interview. Johnny makes a mistake at 2:16, and a mix where the kit has been properly EQ'd and ZACKY's guitar is up in the mix, is generally more flattering for Matt's voice. I've seen so many live gigs that dont have this, which are really brutal on the harmonies if they're pitchy.
2:17 - 2:57 is why he can't sing anymore. Doing it full-voice wrecking his larynx and cords night after night. Gotta love this man! I love this band and love how much Shadows put into the vocals back then, but I don't think he knew how much it would destroy his voice.
"I'll try, " she said as he walked away "Try not to lose you" Two vibrant hearts could change Nothing tears the being more than deception, unmasked fear "I'll be here waiting tested and secure" Nothing hurts my world, Just affects the ones around me When sin's deep in my blood, You'll be the one to fall "I wish I could be the one, The one who won't care at all But being the one on the stand, I know the way to go, no one's guiding me When time soaked with blood turns its back, I know it's hard to fall Confided in me was your heart I know it's hurting you, but it's killing me" Nothing will last in this life, Our time is spent constructing, Now you're perfecting a world, meant to sin Constrict your hands around me, Squeeze till I cannot breathe, This air tastes dead inside me, Contribute to our own plague Break all your promises, Tear down this steadfast wall, Restraints are useless here, Tasting salvation's near Nothing hurts my world, Just affects the ones around me When sin's deep in my blood, You'll be the one to fall "I wish I could be the one, The one who won't care at all But being the one on the stand, I know the way to go, no one's guiding me When time soaked with blood turns its back, I know it's hard to fall Confided in me was your heart I know it's hurting you, but it's killing me"
Theres a reason matt cant scream anymore, sometime after waking the fallen came out Matt had to get surgery on his vocal chords because he was having trouble doing screams at live shows. So he got surgery removing his ability to scream like he could then. His singing got better because of his surgery though.
Logan Eddington dude no that’s just a myth he said in interviews that he got bored of screaming and wanted to try something new he still screams in his other albums just a lot less

Mike Molitor unfortunately, you're right. However, the music they played back then almost forced you to headbang. The same can't really he said for the music they crank out now. It's a softer, mellower A7X nowadays, which is what comes with maturity and experience.
@@Forever-1389 yh a lot of the stuff today they do is singy songy and smooth.the instruments are still great as ever and boucy and heavy and agressive like god damn the instrumentals are great but matts singing is just soft and singy
Some of these comments are funny. This was a stereotypical OC band back then. So many at the time. Shocking that of all the bands these guys launched into stratospheric popularity and they were one of the lesser talked about in regards to the forefront of the scene. Then this song came out and more folks paid attention, then of course bat country and so on. Good for them, Matt still sounds great on Savior, Saint, Salvation. A real favorite of mine.
I saw the thumbnail, seeing M shadow, I thought it was queen at first, he looked like freddy mercury. Then I saw mesa rectifier, I realized there was something wrong. After that, I read the tittle, then I realized that this was clearly not Queen

So is the revs snare turned off or is it just tuned oddly because in some parts it sounds like it's turned off but in others it sounds turned on but tuned oddly

So crazy to think that a bunch of kids in their early 20’s wrote such a unique song like this that was one of the first of its kind.

This riff has a lot of roots in European melodic death metal. Not really the first of it's kind.

If compare with Asian people, of course USA more powerful by energy. Cmiiw
Just saw them live tonight in New Hampshire, they’re like fine wine man. They played this song 20 years later PERFECT
