Okay, Strider. I have to say, that number 1 slot has gotta be one of the most fascinating entries I've ever seen in any Top List in the entirety of RUclips. Never in my life did I think I'd see a video, where I would learn about a LEGO minifigure, that was literally sent off to Jupiter. It's a video topic I never thought I'd want to see. And yet here it is, and I am very pleasently surprised at how fascinating it is, and how well you told the story about it all. I am very honoured to have been a part of the editing for this video. It turned out better then I could've possibly imagined, and it's got a very well deserved place on my list of favorite PhantomStrider Top Lists.
Top 1 was definitely unexpected, but how PS knew about this in the first place is a real mystery, how did he come across such information with all these various top 10 lego list.
I have a knockoff Mr. Gold, and I love it. I don't care about the authenticity of a minifig, I just love the gold man in a tux and hat. Besides, the real ones were apparently very brittle, but mine holds up just fine.
If the real, authentic Mr. Gold is actually made of pure gold, it wouldn't surprise me if he's brittle. Gold may be highly valuable, but it's also not exactly very durable; it's actually quite soft in it's purest form, which is why it's usually mixed with other metals when used for something to increase it's durability
Unfortunately, that’s a misconception. At the end of its mission, Juno & the mini figures will be crashed into Jupiter’s atmosphere to not contaminate any potential life on its moons Europa, Callisto, & Ganymede.
@@nolanmetzger4354 How would we get the figures back anyway? We couldn't hope they survived a reentry: the craft itself isn't built for that, and at such a temperature a thumb-sized chunk of aluminum ignites like butane-doused charcoal. If Pizza Hut can send a pizza into space, I’m pretty sure NASA would be able to recover these purely because of it’s value, and history. Then again, it’s 2022, so we shouldn’t get our hopes up.
Strider has such passion and excitement when talking about these topics and he gives such respect and care that he could talk about the history of garbage disposable and I'd still be interested.

Hey Strider I'm a fan of your work and I like how you are doing lists on lego sets it's very interesting. But I do have a request/suggestion: Top 10 worst & best animated movies of 2021. Keep up the good work. 👍
Thanks for making me crack a smile throughout this video. Also, I'm very impressed. I kept thinking, "Is he going to confuse 'rarest' with 'most expensive' throughout the video?" because I was getting confused with the numbers some of the time and you pulled out some huge rarities. This video has things in it which really make me happy and with a brilliant wham at the end. : ) That's what I get for not being too keen on what legoes are out there.
I actually remember those skeleton figures the silver ones in this video were molded after; I think I still own one. They have a pretty major flaw in that the arms are extremely floppy, so while they CAN hold any pieces a normal minifigure would be able to, they cannot be posed with them without their arms drooping back down again. And before anyone asks, no, it's not because the age if the figure has reduced the friction on those joints with the passage of time, I'm pretty sure mine has always been like that (mainly due to the fact that the arms are attached by tini ball joints). The Minifigure from the Unity Microgame contest appears to be worth a comparatively modest £220 on eBay at the moment. According to a quick search, there were about 1,150 made (probably a few extra for Lego and Unity staff) and one of those is sitting in its bag on my shelf

4:00 Here's an idea instead of spending a fortune on exclusive, expensive Minifigures. Make (or buy from a fan retailer at an Affordable Price) your own customs.
The Lego Ninjago Movie was based on the TV show of the same name. I think it failed because it was completely different from the show, the canon was different, the designs were different (though they would keep their new designs in the show, except Zane), the voice actors were different, and just had a different vibe. A lot of fans of the show disliked all of these elements in the film. I wasn't a fan of Ninjago when I first watched it, but even I thought it wasn't very good. So yeah, just thought you should know. Plus the Ninjago tv show is Danish and Canadian, just thought that was an interesting fact. I'm Autistic too btw.
I really don't think that's the reason it failed. I mean, do you really think casual audiences care about "tHe LoRe"? The movie just wasn't very good. It just didn't have an interesting story and more importantly, it just wasn't funny. The other LEGO Movies are some of the funniest animated movies I've ever seen, but in the Ninjago movie, practically none of the jokes hit. It's just lame. But, the movie practically saved the show, so I'm not complaining too much. But that's not the main reason it failed. I think the biggest reason it failed is because it didn't appeal to general audiences. I love Ninjago, but it's just not a very well-known franchise. The LEGO Movie (and the sequel) just had LEGO in the title, the audiences didn't except anything specific. They expected to see something related to LEGO which is a well-known brand so people rushed to the theatres. And with the LEGO Batman movie, well, it's Batman. Who doesn't know Batman? When people see Batman in the title of a movie, of course they'll rush to the theatres. But with the Ninjago movie, most people don't really know the franchise, so they just didn't know what to expect. The LEGO Movies are marketable at first, and well-made at second (even though they're really well-made). But the LEGO Ninjago movie just wasn't marketable at all. All general audiences had to go off of was the trailers, and imagine yourself as someone who never heard of the show watching the Movie trailers.... So this movie is like, about teenagers that go to high school but they're actually secretely Ninjas with Elemental Powers that have nothing to do with being Ninjas and they ride giant Kaiju mechs and protect the town from Garmadon and his evil Shark army that try to destroy the city twice a week. Oh, and like, one of the Ninjas is Lloyd who actually doesn't have an element and is just green and everyone hates him because he's Garmadon's son, but Garmadon doesn't talk to him. That's just... Not marketable. Neither to casual audiences nor fans of the show for the reasons you said yourself. The Batman Movie didn't need explanation, everyone knows what's it gonna be about, it's Batman. He's a rich guy with dead parents and a butler and a bat cave and a black car and a bunch of weapons and his sidekick is a kid and he fights a clown. Everyone knows Batman. It's Batman. It just would've made much more sense to make like, a LEGO Spiderman movie or a LEGO Star Wars movie. The truth is, not a lot of people know or care about Ninjago and if they wanted to market it towards those people they should've made a simpler concept for the Movie.
I've always been confused on when on the timeline the movie takes place: Zane knows he is a robot (acts WAY too much like one) despite none of them knowing how to do spinjitzu Nya is considered a ninja but Garmadon is still evil That's all I can think of right now
Younger audiences don't usually care about lore in shows. They will however be effected if the character act completely different that they expect. So the characters being redone with new voices and personalities would not of helped. The main reason thought was probably because the movie was bad as it did not have good humour and felt like a cheap Lego Movie duplicate. I understand why companies do this especially in today's economy but it's still gamble as it can fail like this example did.
I think it's cute and I want a zombie figure but think it's nonetheless a bit disconcerting that the zombie was only passed out at a management conference. Is this what they think of their employees? Mindlees zombies?

This makes me wonder what the true rarest video games would be honestly. People say that Spud's Adventure on Gameboy & Tetris on Sega Genesis could be the rarest, but time & time again has shown us that you can go even further down to the ground in rarity. There has literally been cases where a game gets found & it's like the ONLY copy known to have ever surfaced & it was out of nowhere too.
The golden boba fett that the child owns is fake. He says in in the comment section of the video. He said he spray painted it gold and tried to pass it on as the real one. I was confused too until I saw his vid. There is no way a kid of that age has the minifig and keeps it in that kind of protection. There are many customs of it you can get online as well.
@@ironscatman And removing it from the frame removes most of its value. And how would a little kid even get his hands on one? That minifig is worth over $100,000

So enjoyable to hear “Howdy” and Boo’s appearance. And I do enjoy Legos.
Noice, I swear to god I had the will.I.am fig and the stand, but when I saw the stand I didn’t hesitate and shuffled through
The way you said " 2.09 DOLLARS....... and 0.95 Cents. I can't stop laughing 🤣
as a lego collector i love watching these lego videos
Howdy Strider,
I love your Lego countdown videos.
Their great.
And as always, stay safe and stay clean.
no idea why youtube started recommending me your videos, but the algorithm was right. i have never been a lego person, but i AM a toy collector so peeking into other people's collector circles is always fun. I was really sitting here thinking "THAT MUCH for a little minifigure???" like I havent regularly slapped down hundreds of dollars on transformers just as tiny lol
About the gold plated C-3POs: since it is metal, one coul x-ray their star wars sealed box collection to see if there is a droid they looking for.
Now we need a whole Phantomstrider Lego Review Channel
Oh and also,Spider-Man (2013) Minifigure was actually based on the 2014 The Amazing Spider-Man 2 suit.
Holy crap I have one of the comic con lego figures. My neighbor gave it to me for my b-day.
I really hope nothing bad happens to the rocket. It’d be so cool to walk down the street at night, point to the moon and say, “Legos were there,“
Just wow... These minifigures are insane. I do look forward to more designs and events involving more fun rare figs like this in the future. Never gonna be like lego will shut down, and stay how it is. Nice work as always with this lego list. 19:52: Um,what? Welp, let's hope some guy gets it .
Lucky Strider
He gets to chill in the sun due to being from the land down under whilst I’m freezing here in the UK
"...and the answer is, I think it's neat!" I think that should be the answer to a lot of questions actually.
There are many customs of it you can get online as well.
this is without mentioning that the real one was framed with the silver one, meaning it would have been removed from the frame.
@@ironscatman And removing it from the frame removes most of its value. And how would a little kid even get his hands on one? That minifig is worth over $100,000
I think the transition to Lego content is neat! I’m not a Lego fanatic but it’s still entertaining for me.
I love this channel and its humour
5:36
Josh you need to stop with these jokes that make me fully laugh out loud at 3 am, I keep waking people up.
I don't know about y'all, but I'm still waiting on the PhantomStrider set to come out. *All in favor?*
when you post new videos it honestly makes my day
Just a heads up, Ninjago is pronounced “nin - jar - go” as in a jar of jam. But damn I love these vids!
Whoops! That's actually the second time I've accidentally done that 😆 Thanks for letting me know!
@@phantomstrider it’s ok people make mistakes
I actually wonder if it's really supposed to be pronounced that way. I've never heard anyone say it like that before
7:56 I think the price will be even higher, cuz silver is way, way rarer than whatever that Spiderman minifigure is made of.
hey, I love the way you tie in Galileo at the end by saying that you'll eagerly check my references, that is great writing.
I love this so much!
This the first of your videos I see and I LOVED IT
I really like the way you edit and the way you talk and explain (idk what word can I use)
It would be funny if somebody bought the Roman god Lego minifigures and NASA was like "well they’re in orbit around Jupiter right now. You own them but it’s your job getting them back to Earth. Good luck!"
We get alot of Lego-videos nowadays, not that its wrong. But i cant wait for PhantomStrider to make videos were he talk about his Top 10 or something Best Anime tv-shows, Puppetering tv-shows & movies that he Loves that everyone else hates. I hope hes gonna talk about One Piece, Thunderbirds (2 of my alltime favorite tv-shows) & so on. And an anime i can recomend Strider to watch is Detective Conan/Case Closed. A really great anime based on the manga with the same name. Its my newest favorite. My other favorite animes are Dragon Ball (1986-20??), Naruto, both original & Shippuden, Bleach, Yu-Gi-Oh! Duel Monsters & Original Sailor Moon from 1992. 💙
I think the 2015 Zombie worker minifigure might be a metaphor for cheap labour since the workers got the zombie and the managers got the alive version
Its LITERALLY easier to break into NASA and steal them than to buy them for 2.09 billion, and 95 cents 😅
Hey, it’s your first video of 2022, Stridey! Cool costume change, by the way! :)
I didn’t expect Boo to need sunscreen, to be honest. XD
And darn it, I still miss 2013 so much! :’(
3:18 just gave me flashbacks of when I used to watch Spiderwoman when it was on Netflix (I was like 8 years old lol)
It's been a while since I've watched your videos and it was a real treat! Love the lightheartedness and positivity you show through them, thank you for that!
Loved when boo made a Navi sound
I’d kill to get my hands on some of the SDCC Spider-Man lego figures
Roman god: literally called Jupiter
“Maybe he was chosen because the planet is known for lightning?”
The Roman gods (at least the major ones, anyways) are all named after different planets in our solar system. They are also adapted from Greek mythology originally: in the case of Jupiter, he's known as Zeus, the king of the gods in Greek mythology
I was hoping your next video would be Lego minifigures !! Thank you
"Rarest Lego in the Universe."
Now you got me wondering if aliens found out about Legos and decided to make their own in response.
Yay, I love your series and tops!
Strider: it's the middle of Summer right now
Me: January is a Summer Month? i didn't know that
I HAD THAT GLOW-IN-THE-DARK GHOST!!!! He was my all-time favourite mini-fig. I took him everywhere with me.
I never cared for legos (I’m way too impatient to build anything lmao), but this guy makes it so enjoyable. It’s nice to see how much he cares about this and he has such a positive attitude as well :)
"It's the middle of summer here"
*shivers in Canadian*
“So, Mr. Billionaire, what drove you to achieve your goal of becoming a billionaire in the first place?”
“ *Lego.* “
Imagine the shuttle with the Lego figures blow up.
Hey strider, the kid with a gold boba fett confirmed it was fake. He spray painted it with gold paint.
